Iran Will Never Be an Easy Target for the United States

According to Taghrib News Agency(TNA), Ali al‑Ali al‑Tamimi, a political analyst and researcher, wrote in a commentary: In an unexpected development amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that “his administration has received assurances from Iranian officials regarding the cessation of killing protesters and the suspension of execution sentences.”

This statement was neither sudden nor without context. It cannot be separated from a week of unprecedented military escalation. Trump boasted through his usual rhetoric, sending direct messages to rioters in Iran that “help is on the way.” Meanwhile, the USS Roosevelt moved into the Red Sea, and a partial evacuation of the al‑Udeid base in Qatar unfolded—another theatrical display typical of U.S. administrations.

However, as the moment of truth approached, the situation shifted dramatically. Trump backed down from his threats—not out of humanitarian concern or a desire to protect protesters, but out of clear fear of Iran’s missile capabilities and the potential strikes on dozens of U.S. bases across Arab states in the Persian Gulf, which would force those countries to pay the price for Washington’s reckless adventurism.
When Trump realized his inability to carry out his threats, he resorted to his familiar tactics: misinformation, fabrication, and false narratives—claiming that Iran had halted certain actions or made commitments. These assertions were nothing more than attempts to save face after the limits of U.S. power were exposed when confronted with an adversary unwilling to submit to coercion. This is precisely the moment when Arabs—and some Iraqis who dream of Iran’s downfall—must understand the true nature of America’s role: The United States is not their ally; it is a merchant of crises. It demonizes whomever it wishes, reconciles with whomever it wishes, ignites conflicts, and then pretends to be the firefighter. In reality, Washington plays with the fate of nations solely based on its own interests, with no regard for the blood of peoples or the stability and sovereignty of their countries.
What happened was not a victory for peace, but another defeat for the illusion of absolute dominance—and a clear message that any nation with willpower and strength cannot be easily swallowed or turned into a convenient pawn on America’s political chessboard.
Today, we have witnessed this truth politically. And to those who still fantasize about the return of the Shah or the Baathists to Iran and Iraq, we say: Wake up from your deep slumber—those days will never return.
