According to a report by Al‑Ma’louma News Agency, political writer and analyst Rabee Ghassan said that decision‑making related to Israel within the White House is no longer based solely on political considerations or short‑term interests. Rather, it is increasingly shaped by religious and ideological frameworks aimed at advancing the project known as “Greater Israel” in the region.

He noted that the Islamic Republic is viewed by Washington not as a partner but as a decisive actor in regional conflict dynamics, given its ability to shift the balance of power.
Ghassan stated that Iran is now the strongest player in what Israel describes as an existential struggle. Through its support for the “Axis of Resistance” and the establishment of new deterrence equations, Iran has disrupted Tel Aviv’s calculations and neutralized many of its plans.
The analyst added that the nature of the confrontation with the United States is no longer purely political but has taken on religious and ideological dimensions, with Washington seeking to reshape the region based on certain biblical narratives supported by military power and economic influence.
He concluded that the region will likely witness intensified confrontations and continued U.S.–Israeli efforts to weaken actors who oppose their strategic agenda. However, current indicators suggest that the “Axis of Resistance” has become more cohesive and capable of countering these plans.
