Syria Faced an Unjust War in Which Well-known Countries Employed Terrorism - FM

Sparing future generations, the scourge of war, as stipulated in the UN Charter, has collided with the evasion of the Western permanent members of the Security Council from their obligations and their endeavor to impose their power and hegemony and fuel conflicts, Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mikdad said.

The top diplomat made the remarks in a video speech to the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva.

“Syria has faced an unjust war, during which well-known countries employed the weapon of terrorism against the Syrian people, recruited tens of thousands of foreign terrorists and provided them with various kinds of support and weapons, including internationally prohibited ones, to serve their hostile agendas,” Mikdad added.

He also noted that the policies of those countries have allowed terrorist organizations such as Daesh [Arabic for ‘ISIS/ISIL’] and “Jabhat al-Nusra” to possess chemical weapons and use them repeatedly against the Syrians, which highlights the need to address the shortcomings in international instruments and joint action away from politicization and misinformation in order to find a mechanism to coordinate international efforts to confront acts of chemical terrorism.

The minister affirmed that Syria renews its support for the initiative put forward by Russia to the Conference on Disarmament to combat chemical and biological terrorism, and to start negotiations in the conference on a draft agreement for this purpose based on the Russian text.

Mikdad further added that Syria’s experience with the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons [OPCW] confirmed that those in charge of managing this organization fell into the trap of polarization and political dependence and their submission to the policies and dictations of Western countries.

“Syria calls on the OPCW member states to undertake, during the next review conference, a responsible and accurate review of the organization’s course of action and to correct clear mistakes and violations of the provisions of the agreement in order to preserve the organization and its future,” Mikdad said.

Mikdad noted that Syria affirms that the occupation entity and its backers are obstructing the establishment of a zone free of weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East, which requires the United Nations to compel it to join the Non-Proliferation Treaty and subject all its nuclear facilities to the comprehensive safeguards system of the International Atomic Energy Agency [IAEA].

He noted that the Western narration on the outcome of the talks on the Iranian nuclear deal ignores the fact that what has happened is the result of the United States’ withdrawal from the deal and the failure of European countries and the European Union to fulfill their obligations under it.

Mikdad stressed that the only way to overcome the deteriorating situation in the international security environment is the commitment of Member States in word and deed to international law and the UN Charter and the implementation of their obligations in the field of arms control, nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation, away from double standards and narrow political agendas.

Iran Backs China’s Initiative for Peace in Ukraine

TEHRAN -- Iran has declared its support for an initiative offered by China to help settle the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, saying it is time for genuine diplomacy to be activated to end the conflict between Moscow and Kiev.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry made the remark in a statement, two days after China released its initiative for putting an end to the Ukraine war, officially known as China’s Position on the Political Settlement of the Ukraine Crisis.
China’s initiative, among other points, urges respect for the sovereignty of all countries, stressing that conflict and war benefit no one and calling for the resumption of peace talks between Ukraine and Russia.
“Iran believes that the elements reflected in this document are enough for commencing negotiations for a mutually agreed framework for terminating the military activities in Ukraine, stopping unilateral measures, and restoring the situation in accordance with the principles of the Charter of the United Nations,” the ministry’s statement said.
The statement affirmed that Iran is ready to contribute to peaceful settlement of the Ukraine crisis with the main goal being early termination of the military activities by the two neighboring countries.
“It is the time for genuine diplomacy to be activated in order to end the conflict ... rather than advertising and fueling the war, as well as accusing others ... and insisting on unilateral measures,” the statement added.
The ministry said Iran denounces war and unilateral sanctions and reaffirms its absolute preference for dialogue and diplomacy for settling disputes.
It also condemned “the Cold War era hegemonic mentality” of the United States and certain other Western countries, which is manifest in their “national policies and regional arrangements (such as NATO),” describing it as “one of the root causes of many crises in the world, including the ongoing one in Ukraine.”
“The principled position of the Islamic Republic of Iran is respect for the Charter of the United Nations and international law,” including prohibition of the use of force against other countries, it said.

Raisi: Iran’s Progress Result of Scholars’ Efforts, Imam Khamenei’s Support

Iranian President Sayyed Ebrahim Raisi said that the progress the country has today in the knowledge-based field is due to the efforts made by scientists, intellectuals, and scholars as well as the support from Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei.

Raisi made the remarks addressing the Khwarizmi International Award ceremony.

Science and technology have no borders, the Iranian President said, adding that interaction with all nations and governments in the world should be in line with exchanging knowledge and technology.

The interaction with all neighboring countries, in the region and the world should be in this regard, Raisi also noted.

Knowledge-based companies have good products and their products should be commercialized, he underlined.

Pentagon Panel Recommends Gun Control for U.S. Troops After Suicide Crisis

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – A Pentagon advisory panel formed to help address a suicide crisis in the U.S. military recommend imposing gun control measures on American service members to make it harder for them to kill themselves.
Soldiers under age 25 would be banned from buying guns on U.S. bases, while all others would face a seven-day waiting period to complete their firearm purchases under a plan released on Friday by the Pentagon’s suicide prevention committee.
The group also called for creating a database to track guns purchased on U.S. military property, which would require repealing legislation passed by Congress in 2013 to prohibit such tactics, as well as a waiting period on ammunition sales.
“When we look at the science of suicide prevention, there’s arguably only one thing that all researchers agree on,” said panel member Craig Bryan, a safety expert at Ohio State University.
“And that one thing is that taking steps to slow down convenient access to highly lethal methods like firearms is the single-most effective strategy for saving lives,” Bryan added.
Such measures would put the U.S. military in the position of inhibiting the constitutional gun rights of its own service members, who exist ostensibly to defend American freedoms. It will be up to the Pentagon and Congress to determine whether to implement any or all of the panel’s recommendations.
Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin created the advisory committee last March. The Pentagon said it has “taken note” of the group’s report and will use it to enhance its current approach to suicide prevention.
“Secretary Austin has emphasized that the department’s most valuable resource is its people and that they will spare no effort in working to prevent suicide and save lives,” he added.
Deaths by suicide among active-duty U.S. troops jumped 44% between 2015 and 2020, rising to 384, even as the military adopted special training and intervention measures. Nearly 17 U.S. military veterans kill themselves each day, on average, according to the Veterans Administration.
Stores on U.S. military bases reportedly sold more than 113,000 firearms in 2021. The advisory committee announced guns were involved in two-thirds of suicides by active-duty troops.

New Start Treaty Suspension: World One Step Closer to Nuclear Apocalypse

Alwaght- Whereas Ukraine war was expected to abate with the arrival of 2023, the Russia and West's measures indicates that its range is broadening. With massive arms supplies to the Ukrainian forces, the US and its allies sought to beat Russia in Ukraine on the first anniversary of the war, but failed to achieve this aim. Still, the West insists on sending arms to the battlegrounds, making Russia to warn that it is losing patience with the Western warmongering and in recent days it unveiled one of its options to pressurize the West.

On Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced suspension of treaty for reduction of strategic arms, dubbed New Start. Putin said that the country that provides weapons to Ukraine and fuels the war cannot inspect Russian nuclear arms.

In an interview with the state TV channel Rossiya, Putin said the US and its NATO allies wanted to “inflict a strategic defeat on us” and at the same time access Russian nuclear sites, but Moscow will not allow that. The Russians have tied any return to the treaty to the US decisions. To this end, Washington should show political determination and take steps towards comprehensive de-escalation.

Suspension of New Start by Russia comes in response to the American warmongering in Ukraine. Although the Russians have warned against Western arms aids to Kiev, the US and Europe are increasing their supplies day by day, and Joe Biden agreed to another half a billion dollars in aids to Ukraine during his visit to Kiev last week. Over the past year, the Western countries have provided Ukraine with about $150 billion in aids, angering the Russians. By suspending the arms control agreement with the US, Russia seeks Western retreat in Ukraine.

Moscow has repeatedly emphasized that Western countries have unofficially gotten involved in the war by supplying weapons to Ukraine. Putin recently said that the West is pursuing only one goal and that is the destruction of Russia. The West could only partly accept Russia into the so-called “family of civilized peoples,” breaking the country into separate pieces. But he vowed Moscow would counter this destructive agenda. During the war in Ukraine, the Russians have repeatedly warned about the dangerous consequences of the destructive actions of Washington and its allies. But turning Ukraine into a NATO embankment for war with Russia has left no other path for the Russians, and the suspension of the New Start treaty shows that Moscow has now started executing its threats.

What is New Start?

The New Start is the last remaining military treaty between the US and Russia, signed to control the number of nuclear warheads and work on their reduction. It was signed by former US President Barack Obama and his Russian counterpart President Dmitry Medvedev on April 8, 2010 in Prague, Czech Republic. The New Start replaced Start 1 and Start 2 treaties from the Cold War. The deal was signed after months of negotiations aimed at re-establishing military dialogue with the Kremlin, under which the US would have to abandon the deployment of anti-missile shields in Poland and the Czech Republic. This 10-year binding treaty expired in February 2021, but was extended until 2026.

The treaty limits the nuclear arsenals of the two countries, which contain 90 percent of the world’s nuclear weapons, to a maximum of 1,550 warheads, and this is a 30 percent reduction compared to the previous treaty in 2002. The treaty also limits the number of long-range missiles and bombers to 700 and ICBMs to 800. Under the treaty, each side can conduct up to 18 inspections of strategic nuclear weapons sites annually to ensure that the opposite side has not violated the treaty’s limits.

At the beginning of the third millennium, the US sought to get close to Russia’s borders by deploying missile systems in Poland and the Czech Republic and monitor the Russian activities, but the Russians strongly opposed this issue and warned the Americans about its consequences. New Start ended this dispute.

During the Cold War, The US and Russia had a lot of unconventional weapons due to their extensive competition, but with the New Start, they evened out their weapons number to maintain the balance. Still, the same number of these weapons is enough to destroy the whole world.

The world a step closer to nuclear war

The military treaties between Russia and the US over the past three decades presented deterrence to confrontation between the two powers, but Ukraine war turned everything on its head and fomented their tensions. Over the past year, the world community has expressed concern about possible withdrawal of the US or Russia from this military treaty, because if the cooperation between the two powers ends, there will be no control over nuclear weapons, and the world will see an increase to number of nukes and the possibility of nuclear war. Russian officials have repeatedly warned that they are ready to use strategic weapons to prevent their defeat and to defend their territorial integrity. With Moscow and Washington have come close to a direct confrontation in the past year, the suspension of nuclear cooperation can give rise to a new crisis in the world.

James Cameron, a member of the Oslo Nuclear Project, said that if New Start is put aside, it means return of Cold War speculations about the capabilities and intentions of the enemy states. There would be great instability on both sides and each would act based on the worst scenarios and add more precise systems to their arms for use of them, and this would end up in highly unstable situation, according to Cameron. If the US takes similar measures, the nuclear powers will strengthen their deterrence, and this can lead to an arms race and deepen the new Cold War the experts say started months ago.

Russia’s new move comes as the Kremlin leaders have repeatedly warned the West about the World War III since the start of the war in Ukraine. It was following these repeated warnings that last month, nuclear scientists moved the Doomsday Clock forwards, stating that Russia’s attack on Ukraine increased the risk of man’s destruction by his own hands.

“This year, the Science and Security Board of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists moves the hands of the Doomsday Clock forward, largely (though not exclusively) because of the mounting dangers of the war in Ukraine. The Clock now stands at 90 seconds to midnight—the closest to global catastrophe it has ever been,” said a statement.

This move showed that the world is moving towards destruction faster than ever and if one of the parties involved in Ukraine makes a wrong move, it can throw back the world to the Stone Age. Russian and American officials have warned that there is no winner in a nuclear war, and they are trying to avoid any provocative tensions, but in recent months, they have moved towards the escalation of tensions.

Russia’s move and Western arms supplies to Ukraine, which the Americans assert will continue until the defeat of the Russians, heighten the level of global conflict. The US withdrew from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF) on August 2, 2019. This treaty was signed in Washington in 1987 by American and Soviet leaders to eliminate intermediate and short-range missiles. After the move, Washington under Trump announced the development of the tactical nuclear weapons program, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the nuclear competition of the world’s powers.

By taking such step, Putin raised the dispute level to strategic defense stage, and since control and inspection mechanism over Russian nuclear arms is suspended, it sets a prelude to a new arms race and a possible nuclear war. With its recent decision, Russia is trying to send a message to the West that if they continue their adventures in Ukraine, there will be irreparable consequences for them. But instead of defusing the tensions, the White House is fanning the flames of war in Europe and in the latest reaction, it has stationed its B-52 nuclear bombers in Spain for possible use. The experience of a year of war in Ukraine has shown that the more the West sends weapons to Kiev and the more NATO deploys forces around Russia’s borders, the more would be possibility of direct conflict between NATO and Moscow. This worrisome issue has been increasingly raised by observers in recent weeks.

Europe, which is on the front line of the confrontation with Russia, is more worried about Russia’s new decision than the US, and its leaders have said that this action can change the security structures of their continent. Although it is likely that after the end of the Ukraine war, Moscow and Washington will resume the nuclear arms reduction treaty, it is clear that the effects of the New Start suspension in the field of “deterrence and disarmament” will last for a long time. What the Russians have also pointed out is that this country’s relations with the West will no longer return to the period before the Ukraine war, and the two sides no longer trust each other, and in the future they will try to add to their nuclear and military power against the opposite side. The attempt to improve the nuclear deterrence by the countries possessing these types of weapons will lead to an arms race, like the Cold War period, and will make the world more insecure.

In the Cold War period, the US and Soviet Union had no control or supervision over the nuclear arms of the opposite side and were looking at the rival’s nuclear advancements with suspicion, and this increased the risks of a nuclear war. But in the past three decades, nuclear arms treaties limited the tensions between Washington and Moscow to a large extent. However, they returned to past confrontation since last year, posing risks to global peace. Currently, suspicion is back to the American-Russian relations and a lack of information on each other’s nuclear power will guide them to deeper confrontation.

After Ukraine war start, which led to global geopolitical changes, many countries, including Ukraine itself, have come to the notion that if they have nuclear arms, they can have effective deterrence and can protect their territories from foreign invasion. This notion is now globalized, and if another arms race erupts, other countries will review their stated policies and follow path leading to nuclear armament, as absence of trust among big powers can leave destructive effects on the developing countries.

US ramps up efforts to support Ukraine, sends officials to Kiev, ex-Soviet states

United States has ramped up its efforts to support Ukraine, with Secretary of State Antony Blinken arriving in Central Asia in an attempt to distance all five former Soviet republics from Russia, just a day after US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen’s reaffirmed US aid to Kiev.

Blinken's visit to the capitals of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan on Tuesday marks his first trip to the region as the Biden administration's top diplomat.

He will meet the foreign ministers of all five Central Asian states, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, in Astana on Tuesday before heading to the Uzbek capital of Tashkent.

The trip is reportedly aimed to isolate Russia in the region and expand Washington's regional presence.

“Our main goal is to show that the United States is a reliable partner, and we see the difficulties that these economies are facing — high food prices, high fuel prices, high unemployment, difficulty in exporting their goods, slow post-COVID recovery and a large influx of migrants from Russia," Donald Lu, the US assistant secretary of state for South Asia and Central Asia, said at a news briefing on Friday.

In Astana, Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev told Blinken on Tuesday they have "built very good and reliable long-term partnerships in so many strategically important areas like security, energy, trade and investments."

The US efforts to bolster Ukraine's military amid the raging war also included Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen’s surprise visit on Monday to the Ukrainian capital in a show of American solidarity with Kiev amid accusations of government corruption.

During her visit, Yellen announced the transfer of $1.25 billion in economic and budget aid to the embattled government in Ukraine.

It is the first installment of nearly $10 billion that Washington is providing Kiev this year as part of a $45 billion aid package approved by the US Congress in December.

The visit saw Yellen meet with top Ukrainian officials, including President Volodymyr Zelensky. She reaffirmed her country's unwavering support for Ukraine, saying “America will stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes.”

Russia launched what it calls the "special military operation" in Ukraine in February 2022, with the US-led NATO's eastward expansion blamed for the war.

It views the alliance’s efforts to make Ukraine a member and to deploy missiles close to its borders as a direct threat to Russian territory.

“Sometime they’ll give a war and nobody will come.”

Man cannot say "No, I'm not going to war!", he must follow.

By Dr. Rudolf Hänsel

The above-mentioned quote by the US-American poet and historian Carl August Sandburg does not correspond to reality: man, whether young or old, cannot say “No, I’m not going to war!”, he has to follow.

To this day, this human way of reacting cannot be explained because man has not yet recognised himself – not himself, not his nature, not his mental make-up and not his ways of reacting. Based on depth-psychological knowledge, we know today that early childhood education has had such an effect on their emotional life that they have to leave.

This is not free will. But people can recognise themselves bit by bit with expert help, become aware of their unconscious emotional parts and change their behaviour for the good of humanity. If one can make friends with these psychological thoughts, they will give courage and not stir up new fears.

War is not an inevitable fate; it is  “good business”, a defeat for humanity

Whether World War I or World War II, whether the Vietnam War or the West’s current proxy war against Russia: time and again mothers send their sons to the “field of honour” and afterwards wear a black armband “in proud mourning”. Youth dies before it can begin to live (1).

War is a great misfortune for all of us. Pope John Paul II said on 13 January 2003: “War is never an inevitable fate. War always means defeat for humanity.” To conquer other peoples and dominate them is good business. Never before have the states of the world spent so much money on armaments, forged so many deadly weapons as today. The profits of the global arms industry are astronomical.

Militarism has always played a fatal role in the lives of peoples. The struggle of man against man has always challenged the achievements of culture. The warlike way of life has a brutalising effect and the consequence is usually a relapse into barbarism, which is noticeable in all areas of social life.

Unfortunately, humanity is unable to banish this age-old evil from the world. Power-political, economic and social reasons constantly feed the spirit of violence and lead to destructive wars. In view of the immense human and material sacrifices reported in the history of war, the exhortation of high-minded people who proclaimed the ideal of a peaceful world arose from time to time. The idea of eternal peace is surely as old as humanity itself.

Today we see that war only accomplishes works of destruction; we must never expect our salvation from it. Historical observation even shows that the decline of culture has always been associated with wars. And although this fact is sufficiently well known, no university teacher, no philosopher, no psychologist calls out to the youth: “Don’t go!”

Men of all ages, unfortunately, cannot help it. Education has so affected their emotional life that they have to go. Just as they had to follow father and mother in childhood, they follow political authorities as adults. They carry this feeling of absolute obedience from childhood with them into old age, but they are not aware of it. That is why we cannot and must not condemn them. And the parents, unfortunately, did not know that the upbringing of absolute obedience was a mistake. They usually meant well, but in their ignorance and because of their own childhood experiences, they put their children in distress through questionable educational methods.

The good news is that with the help of a psychotherapeutic professional, people can recognise themselves bit by bit, become aware of their unconscious emotional parts and change their behaviour.

Depth psychology and the dynamics of the unconscious as an essential, highly effective part of life.

In pre-psychological times shaped by the religious Middle Ages, no human being knew anything about himself, about his feelings and about his life. It was only with Ludwig Feuerbach (1804 to 1872) and Karl Marx (1818 to 1883) that people began to see themselves as beings of nature and to observe themselves (2). A short time later, a certain doctor, Siegmund Freud (1856 to 1939), made the discovery in Vienna that humans have an unconscious. That was over 100 years ago.

Unfortunately, as a child of his time, Freud did not understand the world and people. He was conservative and a good patriot. So he thought that Austria-Hungary should win the First World War. The others should perish. In a sense, his psychoanalysis sank; it became a medical thing.

But through the scientific findings of depth psychology, we now know that people can be helped, that they can reorient themselves and change their feelings. The teachings of the individual psychologist Alfred Adler (1870 to 1937) have become a cornerstone of depth psychology and it is impossible to imagine psychological research without them. The further development of depth psychology has proved Adler right on many points. For Adler, character is a creative product of the child, arising from the confrontation with early childhood circumstances, especially the educational influences that are most decisive for the formation of character.

The fundamental insight of depth psychology is the assumption of a dynamic unconscious as an essential and highly effective part of the psychic life of man. For this reason, man cannot say “No, I’m not going to war!” Early childhood education has shaped his emotional life in such a way that he must follow the authority that calls him to arms. Since these are unconscious emotional parts from childhood, his behaviour is not the result of free will. Therefore, he cannot be condemned.

Unfortunately, there are still few psychologists today who take up people’s cause.

But this is not intentional. The knowledge of the young person who turns to the study of psychology falls on the old ground. He is religious, national, patriotic and believer in the state. He usually stands on the standpoint of preserving this system.

Dear readers, I hope we understand each other and that you can come to terms with the psychological train of thought. Only when the inner feeling has arisen in people that one can always say NO and does not have to follow anyone, only then comes the action.

The dynamics of the unconscious in the love relationship between man and woman.

In this context, the author recalls psychotherapeutic conversations during his training and in his own practice. These conversations were also about the dynamics of the unconscious.

Young men turned to the psychotherapist seeking help because they were ruining love with their girlfriends and wives with their attitude of resentment and rejection. Because of their childhood experiences with parents and siblings, they could not affirm the woman, could not put themselves on a par with her. They wanted to be more valid than women and always have the last word; women, on the other hand, were supposed to be good and obey. These men thought self-critically that they were probably being unreasonable because they were harming themselves.

But they were not unreasonable. They were behaving very reasonably because their actions corresponded to their emotional situation. Due to childhood experiences such as being spoiled, coddled and preferred as male offspring, they could not affirm women and wanted to be more valid than them.

Again, parents in their ignorance made the mistake of favouring sons over female siblings and spoiling them. In doing so, they put them in this situation as adults. But instead of being angry and resentful towards the parents, it is very important to understand and reconcile with them.

Therefore, the young men were advised to muster strength and courage to become aware of the unconscious feelings from childhood with the help of a psychotherapeutic professional so that the love relationship can be saved. Since they could not help their irritated behaviour – it was not free will – they should not blame themselves either. They should, however, become aware that there is something here that they cannot master.

A healthy emotional basis had to develop in these men too before they could put themselves on an equal footing with the woman and all other people.

Demands on education

Since we human beings are the product of our experiences in childhood, as adults we only have at our disposal what we have experienced and learned from those in our relationships in terms of trust, courage and knowledge. Parents and siblings are our world. This is where children get their roadmap, so to speak, their compass for life. By the time they get to kindergarten, they already know, they already have an attitude and an opinion about themselves and other people.

Educational methods of the past created the type of person that could cause the tragedy of history. The authoritarian principle, for centuries regarded as the unquestionably valid basis of educational behaviour, already throttled people’s sense of community in their childhood years and equipped them with that readiness for aggression through which a violent world could remain in a state of violence.

Through the findings of scientific psychology we know today that man is to such an extent the product of his upbringing that we may cherish the hope that through better, that is, psychological methods of education we will be able to train people who will be immune to the entanglements of the mania for power. By renouncing exclusive authority and the use of force in the home and school and adapting to the child’s soul with true understanding, pedagogy will produce a type of person who does not have a “subject mentality” and who will therefore no longer be a docile tool for those in power in our world.

The school also has a great task and responsibility. First and foremost, it has to convey the conviction that experiential knowledge, understanding and reason always and everywhere take precedence. From the very beginning, it should teach young people values that correspond to our present day and that are still valid in adulthood. In addition, it should provide young people with a psychological education, the knowledge of themselves and their concerns.

Furthermore, the school has to strengthen the young people’s own strength and self-confidence and divert attention from their own beloved salvation to the salvation of the general public, to the necessity of helpfulness.

The democratisation of education, understood as respect for the child’s personality and as friendly devotion of the educator to his pupil on the basis of consistent guidance without coercion and violence, is called upon to make one of the most valuable contributions to the building of a humane social order.

The unconscious emotional impulses from childhood, which the adult has forgotten and which often do not allow him to become happy, can be clarified psychotherapeutically by a capable depth psychologist and thus get to know himself. It is always possible to grow out of old negative thoughts and feelings and finally decide whether one wants to go to war – or better not.

Hundreds Protest New Proposed Election Law in Baghdad

BAGHDAD (AP) – Hundreds of protesters took to the streets in Baghdad on Monday to denounce a draft elections law that would increase the size of the country’s electoral districts, potentially undermining independent candidates.
The current legislation, under which the 2021 election was held, breaks up each of the country’s 18 provinces into several electoral districts. The law, which was a key demand of mass anti-government protests that kicked off in late 2019, was seen as giving independent candidates a better chance at winning.
Last week, parliament debated the draft, which would return Iraq to having one electoral district per governorate. Independent lawmakers who objected to the proposal, walked out of the session, which ended early due to losing its quorum.
The parliament is set to discuss the proposed law again on Monday but lawmakers were not expected to vote on the proposal.
The return to a single district per province is backed by the Coordination Framework, a coalition of parties that forms the majority bloc in the current parliament, and which brought Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani to power last year.
Monday’s protests took place as heavy security forces surrounded the parliament and closed off Joumhouriya Bridge on the Tigris River that leads to the government areas of the heavily fortified Green Zone.

‘Iraq Now Peaceful, Life Returning’

Nearly 20 years after the overthrow of Saddam Hussein, Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid wants the world to know his country now is at peace, democratic and intent on rebuilding economic life while maintaining a government that serves the whole country and the region.
Rashid told The Associated Press on Sunday that after overcoming the hardships of the past two decades, Iraq is ready to focus on improving everyday life for its people. Those hardships included years of resistance to foreign troops, and attacks by Daesh terrorists who once controlled large areas, including Iraq’s second-largest city, Mosul.
“Peace and security is all over the country, and I would be very glad if you will report that and emphasize on that, instead of giving a picture of Iraq ... still (as) a war zone, which a lot of media still do,” Rashid said.
While Iraq’s major fighting has ended, there have been some recent outbreaks of violence — including on the day of Rashid’s election, which came after a yearlong stalemate following the October 2021 election. Ahead of the vote, at least nine rockets targeted Iraq’s parliament inside Baghdad’s fortified Green Zone.

Brazil Defies US Pressure, Allows Iranian Flotilla to Dock in Rio De Janeiro

Brazil Defies US Pressure, Allows Iranian Flotilla to Dock in Rio De Janeiro

The Brazilian government has allowed a flotilla comprised of two Iranian warships to dock in Rio de Janeiro, ignoring mounting pressure from the United States to bar them.

The Iranian Navy's Makran and Dena warships, which together form the Islamic Republic's 86th flotilla of military vessels, berthed in Rio on Sunday, the port authority was quoted by Reuters as saying in a statement.

Vice Admiral Carlos Eduardo Horta Arentz, the deputy chief of Brazil's Naval Staff, approved the Iranian ships to dock in Rio between February 26 and March 4, following Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva’s recent visit to Washington.

On January 28, Rear Admiral Hamzeh Ali Kaviani, the Iranian Navy's second-in-command, had said that the vessels were sailing along Latin America's western shores and were to drop anchor in Rio within a few days.

According to Western media outlets, Brazil had initially delayed docking of the ships as the country's president was flying to Washington to meet with US President Joe Biden.

Earlier in February, US Ambassador to Brasilia, Elizabeth Bagley urged Brazil not to allow the ships to dock, saying, "We firmly believe those ships should not dock anywhere."

However, despite Washington's calls, the South American country allowed the ships to dock in Rio after Lula ended his trip.

The United States has been very upset with the presence of the Iranian warships on Brazilian shores and elsewhere in Latin America, which Washington considers its backyard.

Dena is a Mowj-class warship that joined the Iranian Navy in June 2021. The military vessel is reportedly equipped with anti-ship cruise missiles, torpedoes, and naval cannons.

Makran is a forward base ship weighing 121,000 tons. The warship can carry five helicopters and is used to provide logistical support for combat vessels.

The 86th flotilla is expected to break the record for the distance an Iranian flotilla has ever sailed in international waters. It set sail from southern Iran in early fall with the purpose of circumnavigating the world.

Its trip to Brazil appears to be part of a mission that is destined to take the flotilla to the Panama Canal.

Earlier in January, Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani said plans were underway to deploy the Islamic Republic’s naval forces to the strategic Panama Canal, as Iranian servicemen were getting closer to South American coasts.

The commander stated that Iranian naval forces have been deployed to almost all strategic straits throughout the globe, except for two.

He said Iranian naval forces will sail into one of those remaining straits this year, while plans are being made for their presence in the Panama Canal, which connects the Atlantic Ocean with the Pacific Ocean and divides North and South Americas.

US Plans to Carry Out False-flag Op in Ukraine Using Toxic Agents – Moscow Warns

The United States plans to organize a provocation in Ukraine with the use of toxic agents, while blaming Russia, Commander of Russia's Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protection Troops Lt. Gen. Igor Kirillov said at a briefing on Tuesday.

According to Kirillov, on February 22, an influential US non-governmental organization held a conference on the events in Ukraine, and former US Ambassador to Russia John Sullivan made a statement, which, in particular, said that Russian troops planned to use chemical weapons in the area of the special military operation.

"We regard this information as the intention of the United States itself and its accomplices to carry out a provocation in Ukraine using toxic chemicals," Lt. Gen. Kirillov said.

He said Washington hopes that during hostilities it will not be possible to properly investigate the planned US chemical provocation in Ukraine, but added that in case the provocation does take place, the Russian Defense Ministry will identify and punish the true culprits.

Lt. Gen. Kirillov said the United States is likely to try to use the BZ military incapacitating agent [3-Quinuclidinyl benzilate] in Ukraine.

"We warn that in case of provocations with the use of toxic chemicals, we will identify and punish the true culprits", he stressed

A train carrying a cargo of chemicals arrived in the Ukraine-controlled city of Kramatorsk in Donbass earlier this month and delivered to the line of contact. It consisted of 16 sealed metal boxes, eight of which had a chemical hazard sign, the inscription "BZ" and marking with two red lines, which corresponds to the class of poisonous substances with a temporary detoxifying effect, according to Kirillov.

Engineering a Cult of Chaos to Undermine Rational Thinking.

By Julian Rose

If one tries to use rational thought processes to produce a reasoned explanation for that which is neither rational nor reasoned, one will end-up building a false picture of the world around one.

This is what has happened to those who have tried to ‘make sense’ of a global agenda whose first principle is to create chaos and confusion. Trying to piece together strands that ‘by intent’ have no connection is quite obviously a road to nowhere.

The shadowy architects of The Great Reset/New World Order/One World Government pulled-off a clever trick in designing a totalitarian programme for top-down change whose individual parts each contradict one another.

So, when put together by the ‘rational’ public mind, it makes people feel that they must be suffering a diminished personal level of intelligence, because they can’t make the agenda make any logical sense.

So what do most people do? They form a comforting yet implausible theory, that satisfies a need to believe events are following some sort of logical pattern which only those ‘in charge’ can properly understand.

This achieves the cabal’s desired affect of defeating any resistance to the programme being enforced. If those on the receiving end can’t, or won’t, believe that the perpetrators see and experience life from a completely different perspective from their own, they can’t grasp why an anti-human agenda could possibly be the reality of the day.

But it is the nature of psychotic/demonic beings to sow the seeds of confusion and then stand back and watch, gaining satisfaction from observing the results play themselves out. So sure are they of the enduring psychological weaknesses displayed by a majority of human beings that they publicly announce each new turning of the screw, via the compliant and controlled world of the mass media.

If enough big names, global institutions and media operations say black is white and two plus two makes five, most will prefer to go along with this perversion than face their own inability to recognise that things have indeed been deliberately 100% distorted.

This distortion is now fully operational in every area of life controlled by the chain of command which – starting from the 0.5% ‘elite’ cabal – runs on to corporate fiefdoms, banking dictatorships, supra national conglomerates (i.e The European Union), trans planetary institutions like the World Economic Forum, World Health Organisation and United Nations, the military industrial complex, and finally national and local governments and the general public.

Built into a very actual programme of centralised global control and the relentless thieving of basic individual and collective freedoms, are a whole series of fake sign posts which seem to indicate that all the worlds’ problems result from extreme outside events associated with human error or mental blindness.

Global warming, pandemics, economic turmoil, war, mass movements of refugees are all part of a world ‘on the brink of disaster’, we are continuously informed by the very architects of the disruptions themselves.

Each of these ‘disasters’ has been designed, planned and executed with ice cool malicious intent by the dark cabal, confident of its ability to successfully play on the fears of all who fail to confront the rules of the Matrix. The financial cabal announces in advance – each further phase of the planned break-down of justice, freedom and law and order.

So if anyone should later exclaim “They forced us, without any warning, to comply with their evil agenda”, a ready prepared answer states “We told you and you ignored it.” It is a feature of the slippery nature of these dark tricksters that they cover their tracks in all situations.

The sheer audacity of some pronouncements is breathtaking.

Bill Gates coolly argues the need to depopulate the planet.

Klaus Schwab informs us that “we will be happy” having had all our properties stolen from us.

Yuval Noah Harari advises that chipped and digitalised people will be a big advancement of the human race, “Better than God” could achieve.

Tedros Ghebreyesus , head of the World Health Organisation, states that only he and his board member cronies can decide when to declare health emergencies affecting all independent nation states of the world.

Almost all leaders of nation states are happy to persuade their constituents to go along with these dictatorial pronouncements. For example, they are told to take the weaponised mRNA genetically engineered Covid jab “If you want to be recognised as responsible citizens, retain your freedom of movement and not get put on the red list of subverters of the status quo.”

It is not as though any of these pronouncements are done in secrecy. They are done in plain sight in the public domain. But still the great majority of the public can’t or wont respond with the normal/ natural organic reaction of anyone put under this kind of direct threat “Hey! Who do you think you are? Don’t threaten me with your pompous megalomania – you should be locked-up immediately!”

There is something going on which causes normal human biological reactions to be stymied and rendered seemingly sterile.

In my opinion, it is a well developed form of hypnosis.

Inducing one’s audience to experience a variety of versions of fear, is stage one. Coming across as a highly placed authority figure is stage two. Having recourse to dark powers to ‘bewitch’, is stage three.

When all three of these are packaged within a sophisticated mind control/social engineering programme, the deliverer holds a number of ace cards. Not least the fact that if and when exposed ‘it sounds too unbelievable to be true’ to all but the keenly aware.

So, we who are aware have the crucial task of reverse engineering the sequence of events that bewitch the general public, thereby exposing the preconceived and calculated use of chaos and confusion which render the cult’s poisoned agenda such a brutal deception.

Can this be done?

Yes it can. But it involves deepening our understanding of the ways of the psychopathic and psychotic mind. We need to grasp how ‘spellbinding techniques’ play a much more central role in mass human mind control programmes than are currently recognised.

This exploration calls for courage and the realisation of our deeper spiritual powers. Such a task cannot be achieved without raising the energetic levels of our latent higher potentialities; a concentrated focus on that which has the power to dispel darkness so as to break the hold of the demonic elements over the human mind.

Humanity is confronted by this test – here and now. If faced directly and bravely, the instigators of the present darkness will be defeated. Defeated by the manifestation of a rising level of truth which the tricksters cannot endure, as their ‘success’ is based on maintaining the blanket existence of a very low vibrational energy, which they consistently try to convey as the only energetic state available to mankind. Nothing less than the three dimensional prison of the Matrix.

Once this huge deception is uncovered on a sufficient scale, the dark mask will fall and the first phases of our true liberation will unfold in front of us like the rising sun; heralding an unprecedented universal expansion of the higher powers of mankind and all planetary and inter planetary energies.
