: Senior Lebanese Scholar
According to Taghrib News Agency(TNA), during a solidarity gathering with the Islamic Republic of Iran—organized by Lebanese national parties, movements, and figures, along with the Gathering of Muslim Scholars and the Coalition of Independent Forces for Lebanon—held at Qaryat al‑Saha in Beirut, Sheikh Hanina praised Iran’s role and declared:

He strongly criticized U.S. policies, saying: “Although the United
States has achieved certain gains in some regions, the arrogant and
offensive remarks of its president toward European allies reveal the
true nature of these policies. Yet when the U.S. reached the gates of
Iran, it was forced to stop, powerless and incapable.”
Referring to Beirut’s historic role in supporting the Palestinian cause, he said:
“Beirut has never retreated at any stage of this struggle. The line of
resistance—with all its ethnic, nationalist, leftist, and Islamic
currents—has remained firmly rooted here.”
He added: “Today, Beirut stands in alignment with the position adopted
by the Iranian people, their leadership, and their government—a
government that represents humanity, not a party or an individual, but
the oppressed across the world.”
Addressing Lebanon’s President, General Joseph Aoun, Sheikh Hanina
stated: “If the president wishes to remain faithful to his military oath
and later his presidential oath to safeguard Lebanon’s 10,452 square
kilometers, he must support Lebanon’s resistance stance. Israel seeks to
partition the region, and Arab states are unable to confront this
project—nor is Turkey capable of doing so.”
He stressed: “The only real barrier preventing the partition of Syria
and Lebanon is the Resistance and its weapons. Israel aims to divide
Syria into small states, and this project has been pre‑planned—even
envisioning sea access for one of these mini‑states through the Damour
coast.”
In conclusion, Sheikh Hanina warned: “The President of Lebanon is aware
of these realities and must remain vigilant. He will either uphold his
oath, honor, and military commitment, or the Resistance forces will have
a different response to such an approach.”
The gathering was attended by a wide range of scholars, political and
national figures, and media activists, all of whom affirmed solidarity
with the Islamic Republic of Iran and stressed the need to strengthen
the Resistance Front against hegemonic and partition‑driven projects in
the region.
