Dr. Zahra Mostafavi, daughter of Imam Khomeini (r), in a letter to Imam Khamenei (H), referring to the “acceleration of conspiracies and hostilities against Iran,” wrote:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

To the Supreme Leader,

His Eminence Ayatollah Khamenei (may his shadow be extended)

With greetings and respect,

I sincerely thank Allah from the depths of my heart for granting Iran and the Muslim Ummah, after Imam Khomeini (r), a wise, compassionate, strong, and steadfast leader. A captain well-versed in the secrets of the turbulent sea of politics, who has safely guided the ship of the Revolution and Iran through the violent waves of internal and external conspiracies. To the extent that today both friends and enemies speak of great and dignified Iran. All of this is by the grace of Allah, the gratitude of the nation, and your astute and visionary leadership.

In recent days, conspiracies and hostilities against Iran have intensified, and the treacherous enemy, after four decades of hidden enmity, has concluded that the only way to defeat Iran and reimpose the humiliation of the Pahlavi era, or even worse, is to eliminate the institution of Wilayat al-Faqih from the foundations of Iran’s governance. Therefore, in all the unrest and turmoil of the past two or three decades, the enemy and its organized agents inside the country, along with ignorant and deceived individuals, have targeted you, the beloved Leader and helmsman of the great ship of Iran. Although I know that even these deceived individuals are not deprived of your benevolent prayers, we as the Iranian nation are deeply hurt by the attacks directed at your esteemed position, and we complain of our own shortcomings in safeguarding the status of the Guardianship.

The honorable and dignified people of Islamic Iran have, at every critical juncture, demonstrated through their presence that they stand in support of their Leader. Addressing the criminal President of the United States and all enemies of you and of proud and dignified Iran, we declare: “The same soldiers who supported Imam Khomeini (r) are today the soldiers and supporters of the Guardian Jurist of their era, and they will spare no effort in defending their homeland and their faith.”
