Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif described Iran as a
brotherly neighbor for Pakistan that has never taken an aggressive
approach against others and Israel as the main threat to the region.
Speaking to reporters in Parliament in Islamabad, he said Iran is a neighbor and brother of Pakistan, and both countries enjoy excellent relations.
Iran has adopted no aggressive approaches towards others, he said expressing concerns over Israel’s threats.
Muhammad Asif offered Pakistan’s support for Iran.
Regarding Pakistan’s plan to join the Gaza board of peace, he said this is a suitable opportunity for Islamabad to play a role in helping to resolve the Palestinian issue.
Islamic countries should reach an extended defense agreement for collective self-defense, he said.
