It’s a mistake to test the tried: They threaten the victor of the 12-Day War with a military attack!

The withering of armed street unrest — conducted under the direction of terrorists affiliated with foreign intelligence services — has forced the operations room of the unrest project to change strategy: “highlighting the possibility of a U.S. military attack on Iran.” An analysis of this strategy leads to noteworthy conclusions. First, the very shift in strategy carries a clear meaning: the enemy intelligence services’ operations room has concluded that the expansion of the unrest project has been halted and that its violent street-based plan has sharply declined.

Not only did the plan fail at the expansion stage, but the ISIS-like incidents carried out by its operational cells have also, compared to a few days earlier, been contained and brought under control. The terrorist operational cells were meant to push the country toward civil war and fragmentation by horizontally expanding and quantitatively and qualitatively escalating their actions. That ambitious plan, however, has now been reduced to a handful of localized, partisan attacks. The unrest has become moribund, and so it must be kept alive through artificial respiration. Beating the drum of a possible military attack becomes meaningful in such a climate. This propaganda strategy boosts the morale of the armed terrorist cells and keeps the unrest project alive — even if only in a vegetative state.

Another noteworthy point is that this media strategy, pursued with the aim of intimidation and fear-mongering, is being implemented even though the American-Zionist axis has already tested its effectiveness once during the 12-Day War—a test that, of course, did not lead to Iran bending. If Iranians were inclined to back down in the face of a military attack by the enemy, they would have done so during the 12-Day War. This is aside from the fact that the country’s current conditions — particularly in defensive terms — are markedly different from those of the 12-Day War. According to statements by the President and the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, the country’s defensive status — quantitatively, qualitatively, and in terms of equipment and military hardware — has significantly improved compared to the 12-Day War. The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly also emphasized in his remarks last Sunday that in the event of a miscalculation by the enemy, all interests of the American-Zionist axis will be legitimate targets of Iran’s armed forces.

The national resistance of the Iranian people during the 12-Day War, and their unified backing and support for the powerful blow delivered by the armed forces, doubled the country’s capacity to break the enemy’s neck. These are the same people who stood during the 12-Day War. Even those protesting economic conditions separated their ranks from the terrorists after witnessing the enemy’s exploitation. This cohesion will once again be displayed in the nationwide presence on January 12. It is precisely this popular backing and unity that has strengthened the hand of the armed forces — a strength that can now deliver more painful blows to the American-Zionist axis. The Islamic Republic of Iran has no hesitation or fear in defending its territorial integrity, national security, and interests; it makes no difference whether it faces an armed mercenary terrorist hired by the enemy on the streets, or the enemy’s American-Zionist interests in the region and the occupied territories. Should the enemy’s stupidity take on a real form, today’s Iran is more prepared than the Iran of the 12-Day War to respond to aggression, just as it did seven months ago — both in the occupied territories and against a US base.

Imam Khamenei stated on July 16, 2025, that, “The very fact that a nation, a country, and its Armed Forces possess the self-confidence to stand up in confronting face to face the power of the US and its chained dog in the region, the Zionist regime, carries immensely significant value in itself… everyone must realize. Our friends must realize this and our enemies must realize this, as well as the Iranian nation itself, who already know this. What they must realize is that the Iranian nation will never be the weaker side in any field they enter. This is because we have all the necessary tools. We possess both logic and strength… Of course, war means striking the other side and getting struck. That’s obvious. It involves both striking and getting struck. You cannot expect for there to be no tragedies in a war. But, praise God, we are well-equipped.”
