In a joint statement, eight Arab and Islamic states voiced their major concern over the escalation of the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing that the recent weather condition has aggravated the existing crisis to a great extent.
These countries emphasized that any attempt to disrupt the activities of UN and international organizations in Gaza is firmly rejected.
The countries including Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar expressed their deep concern about the dire situation in Gaza, especially in light of the adverse weather conditions, heavy rain, and storms, the statement added.
The ministers of these eight countries called for the immediate and unhindered entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza through the United Nations and its affiliated relief agencies, as well as reconstruction of infrastructures and hospitals in the enclave.
The statement called on the international community to fulfill its responsibility and pressure Israel to lift the restrictions.
