Sheikh Fahdawi
The spokesperson for Iraq’s Rabat Mohammadi Council, called upon the Islamic world to rise against existential threats, asserting that the Palestinian cause must remain the central focal point of the Ummah.

Sheikh Kamel Fahdawi, made the remarks in an address on the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the escalating aggression against nations across the region.
Sheikh Fahdawi described the current situation as a “warning bell” for all Muslim countries. He warned that the loss of Palestine would fundamentally compromise the security and future of the entire region, urging unity against the common enemy.
“The blood of the pure martyrs in Gaza, Lebanon, and across the Resistance Axis must compel the Islamic Ummah toward dignity and resistance,” Fahdawi stated. “An attack on one Arab or Islamic nation is, in reality, an attack on the entire Ummah.”
Invoking the prophetic tradition that likens the faithful to a “single body,” the Sheikh sharply criticized the prevailing silence and divisions regarding the plight of Gazans.
Drawing historical parallels, he compared the current siege of Gaza to the historical siege of Muslims in Sha’b Abi Talib, urging Muslims not to remain indifferent to the starvation and suffering of their brethren.
Furthermore, he referenced the uprising of Imam Hussein (AS) in Karbala, asserting that the sacrifice of the martyrs of Palestine must serve as a catalyst for the awakening and reunification of the Islamic world, much like the blood of the martyrs of Karbala historically stirred the conscience of the nation.
Fahdawi also pointed to a significant shift in global public opinion since October 7, noting that citizens in parts of Europe and the United States are increasingly questioning the nature of the Zionist regime.
He urged Islamic scholars, thinkers, and preachers to capitalize on this shifting sentiment, stressing that their primary duty is to keep the issue of Palestine alive and work toward a unified front.
“If scholars and elites do not strive to unite the Ummah on this common cause, the Islamic world will face even greater dangers,” Fahdawi warned, concluding his address with prayers for the victory and divine support of the people of Gaza and the forces of the Resistance.
