Sunni cleric: The war of narratives is the enemy's tool for distorting realities

Mamosta Molla Ahmad Sheikh, emphasizing the necessity of vigilance against the enemy's hybrid war, said: "The enemy, by utilizing the tools of media and cyberspace, tries to influence the cohesion and security of society by distorting realities, spreading false news, and creating an atmosphere of despair."

Mamosta Molla Ahmad Sheikh, the Friday Prayer Leader of Salas-e Babajani County, in an interview with the Taghrib News Agency (TNA), stated: "Today, we are witnessing a great military, economic, and cultural onslaught against the system and the nation of Iran, and the enemy, to achieve its goals, tries to confront the country with challenges by utilizing existing capacities."

He added: "All of us are responsible in the face of this unprecedented onslaught by the enemies, and we must, with vigilance and by using existing capacities, stand against their conspiracies."

This Sunni scholar, referring to the enemy's hybrid war in cyberspace, stated: "Today, the enemy, with particular precision and complexity, seeks to distort the prevailing situation in the world, especially the developments in the Middle East region."

Mamosta Sheikh continued: "The enemy tries to compensate for its field defeats by using the tools of media and even to present itself as the victor of the field."

Referring to the war of narratives and the enemy's cognitive war, he stated: "Despite all the efforts and precision that the enemy employs in this arena, sometimes we witness false content and contradictions in their narratives, which they themselves later reveal part of these contradictions through their statements."

The Friday Prayer Leader of Salas-e Babajani County further addressed the issue of the Strait of Hormuz and said: "The Americans, on one hand, claim that the Strait of Hormuz is completely open and Iran has no dominance over it, but on the other hand, the President and some senior US politicians cite the opening of this strait as one of their conditions for an understanding with Iran, which demonstrates the contradiction in their positions."

Mamosta Sheikh considered one of the important issues today to be the enemy's effort to create polarization in the country and noted: "The enemy tries to create an atmosphere of despair in the country by utilizing the phenomenon of infiltration, and examples of this effort can be observed in cyberspace, platforms, and satellite networks."

Stating that the enemy tries to challenge the security of society by spreading false news and creating false content, he said: "We must be vigilant against these conspiracies and, by using existing capacities, manage the enemy's psychological war and in some cases confront it with a reverse approach."

The Friday Prayer Leader of Salas-e Babajani County, in conclusion, emphasized: "The enemy knows well that as long as the Iranian nation is united and integrated, it cannot harm the system in military, political, and cultural dimensions; therefore, today all their efforts are focused on creating a tense and chaotic atmosphere in Iranian society."
