Al-Najaba hails withdrawal of US and coalition forces from Iraq as a ‘Victory’

Iraq’s Al-Najaba Movement has characterized the withdrawal of United States and coalition forces from Iraq as a significant “victory,” attributing the development to a steadfast commitment to the “military option.”

In a statement released by the Ahlulbayt News Agency (ABNA), the movement described the departure of what it termed “occupying forces” as a direct result of sustained pressure and adherence to strategic military objectives.

The movement emphasized that this shift represents the fulfillment of its solemn commitments to the legacies of the martyred commanders, General Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

Beyond the military withdrawal, Al-Najaba issued a series of rigorous demands aimed at ensuring total Iraqi sovereignty. The movement called for an immediate reduction in the scale of the United States’ diplomatic presence in Baghdad and demanded an end to Washington’s purported influence over the Iraqi economy.

“We demand an end to American interference in the internal political affairs of Iraq,” the statement read, calling for a complete cessation of US involvement in the country’s sovereign decision-making processes.

The movement voiced categorical opposition to any future American presence in Iraq, regardless of the designation. Al-Najaba warned against attempts to maintain a foothold through private security companies, military advisors, or any other administrative or technical titles.

Furthermore, the movement called for airspace sovereignty, border security and an end of tutelage.
The statement concluded by reaffirming that true independence for Iraq can only be achieved through the total withdrawal of foreign military and political influence.
