America's sanctions against Iran are, in the true sense of the word, a humanitarian crime

: Mohammad Huzaymah in an interview with TNA

Mohammad Huzaymah, a political writer and advisor in the field of international relations and Middle Eastern affairs, referring to regional developments and the consequences of the recent war, did not rule out the possibility of a repeat of the American and Zionist regime's attack, and emphasized that the developments of this war have revealed the weakness of military power in achieving goals and the decline of America's role in regional and global equations.

Mohammad Huzaymah, in an interview with the Taghrib News Agency (TNA), stated: "A renewal of the American and Zionist regime's attack on the region remains a possible and significant scenario, especially in conditions where the internal crises of America and the Zionist regime have deepened and both are facing a difficult stage."

He added: "Recent developments have exposed the illusion of superiority and the inability of military power to achieve goals, and its negative consequences on America's role and its plan for the Middle East, including the 'Greater Israel' project, have become apparent."

Huzaymah continued: "The course of the war and the events after it provided a clear picture of the decline in military performance on the field, especially when Iran was able to turn the war into a military and economic war of attrition. This process also revealed the weakness of American political management at the stage of trying to reproduce the global order and prevent the continuation of this country's domination over the world within the framework of the unipolar system."

He said: "The unipolar system has faced a serious challenge against the power of Iran, the Islamic Revolution, and its Islamic system, while enjoying the awareness of the Iranian people and their support for the leadership, as well as the spirit of steadfastness and readiness for sacrifice."

This analyst emphasized: "The Iranian people, with high confidence in their armed forces, including the Army, the Revolutionary Guard Corps, and the Basij, have stood against these conditions and, above all, are steadfast in adhering to the truth and the belief that the Iranian nation is defending its existence."

American sanctions; collective punishment

Huzaymah, in another part of this interview, regarding American sanctions against Iran, said: "American sanctions are a humanitarian crime in the full sense of the word, and these sanctions fall within the framework of collective punishment, which, according to international law, is classified as a crime against humanity."

He added: "This type of action is part of America's record throughout the history of this country – a record tied to crime."

Iran possesses the components of power

This analyst further, referring to the capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stated: "The Islamic Republic possesses all the necessary components to become a powerful and integrated country – from the wisdom of leadership and political prudence to the policy of friendship and active diplomacy, which is pursued within the framework of the interests of Iran and its people."

He stated: "America's war against Iran is the first war that Washington has entered against a country with such a status and level of power, while America's previous wars usually ended before the actual start of the battle and in many cases had a demonstrative aspect."

Huzaymah added: "This model was not successful against Iran, the Islamic Revolution, and a powerful state that has drawn its future borders based on its own particular vision and model and manages its policies accordingly."

He noted: "Iran has never been in the position of an aggressor country, and despite all the pressures and actions taken against it, it has remained committed to the principles established by Imam Khomeini (RA), including supporting the oppressed nations against global arrogance and good neighborliness, and neither threats nor temptations have been able to shake it."

Iraq's decision regarding Iranian flights; an assault on this country's sovereignty

Huzaymah, in another part of the interview, referred to the Iraqi government's decision to ban Iranian flights and said: "This decision is in conflict with Iraq's sovereignty, and at the very least, it can be said that it is an incorrect decision and unworthy of a country that is expected to play a role in building the future of the region."

He added: "Even the justification for this decision is, according to him, 'an excuse worse than the sin'; because Iraq, which succeeded in the battle of liberation and the withdrawal of American occupying forces, now faces another mission to liberate its political decision and will."

This analyst emphasized: "Iraq must turn its decisions into a reflection of the pulse of society and the demands of the majority of the people of this country."
