A senior political official of the Ansarullah movement has declared that the city of Taiz has been “effectively liberated” following a series of successful operations to secure the surrounding strategic areas.

Al-Asad noted that while Yemeni forces have secured the perimeter of the city, the opposition’s attempts to obstruct movement have been countered by the securing of key transit routes. “Our forces have not cut the Taiz-Aden road; rather, we have secured it, while the opposing side continues to attempt blockades,” Al-Asad clarified.
The official highlighted the crucial role of local residents in the liberation process, stating that the majority of the brigades participating in the recent offensives are composed of local inhabitants from Taiz province itself. This grassroots participation, he noted, underscores the deep-seated resistance against foreign-backed mercenaries.
As Ansarullah continues its multi-front campaign—ranging from defending against maritime blockades to conducting retaliatory strikes deep within Saudi territory, including Riyadh—the official warned that the fight for Taiz has entered its final stage.
Concluding his remarks, Al-Asad issued a stern warning to the coalition forces and their local proxies. He cautioned that any escalation into a full-scale war would result in “heavy losses and significant casualties” for the aggressors. “Any transgressor against Yemen will pay the price, and the Saudi regime will be the primary loser in such a confrontation,” he added.
