Nujaba slams US ‘bullying’ in Iraq, vows resistance will never disarm

The representative of Iraq’s Nujaba Movement in Iran, has delivered a scathing rebuke of US policies in Iraq, dismissing Washington’s pledges regarding troop withdrawal while vowing that the Resistance movement will not relinquish its arms under any circumstances.

In a recent interview, Hujjat-ul-Islam Sayyed Abbas al-Musawi, expressed absolute skepticism regarding the announced timeline for the withdrawal of US forces from Iraq.

“We place zero trust in any decision coming from the United States, and we have no faith in the promises of the ‘Great Satan’,” he stated. He emphasized that the Resistance movement is monitoring the situation with extreme vigilance and remains fully prepared for any eventuality.

Addressing Washington’s ongoing campaign to disarm the Iraqi Resistance, the cleric underscored that the movement’s resolve is rooted in unwavering ideological commitment. He emphasized that Iraqi groups—most notably the Nujaba Movement and Kata’ib Hezbollah—are firmly committed to the path of Wilayat al-Faqih (the rule of jurisprudence).

Al-Musawi paid tribute to the late leaders who charted this course, including the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and the “master of the martyrs of the Resistance Axis,” the late Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah (may Allah be pleased with them all).

“This weaponry will remain in the hands of the trustworthy,” Al-Musawi affirmed, “both before and after this date, and will stay in these hands until the eventual appearance of Imam Mahdi (AS).”

The Nujaba representative also strongly condemned the recent decision by the Iraqi government to restrict flights between Iran and Iraq, describing it as an act of submission to US pressure.

“This is an illegal decision that in no way reflects the will of the Iraqi Parliament, the country’s political forces, the wise religious authorities, jurists, or the proud people of Iraq,” Al-Musawi noted. He characterized the move as an unjust, unilateral action forced upon Baghdad by Washington.

Concluding his remarks, Al-Musawi warned that such measures are part of a broader US conspiracy aimed at sowing discord between the brotherly nations of Iran and Iraq. “We oppose any intensification of the siege on our second home, Iran, and we categorically reject these divisive plots by the United States,” he stated.
