Establishment of new civilization in 2nd phase of the Islamic Revolution

For your information, one of the pivotal topics in the statement of the Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, on the second phase of the Islamic Revolution that started last February, is science and research.
The Iranian nation has surmounted numerous hurdles in its march towards the pinnacles of success over the past forty years, achieving astounding progress in numerous arenas, including various scientific fields. The Leader of the Islamic Revolution has put emphasis on continuation of this bright and promising path, while presenting a number of recommendations for the major Jihad in line with further development and progress of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
With its triumph in 1979 under the astute leadership of the Sage of the Age, Imam Khomeini (RA), the Islamic Revolution ended a long period of backwardness of the country during the eras of the Qajarid and Pahlavi dynasties. In other words, Iran experienced a significant growth and progress in the post-Revolution era.
Upon victory of the Islamic Revolution, Global Arrogance led by the US, imposed illegal sanctions on the Iranian nation, including the 8-year war that Saddam of Iraq’s repressive Ba’th minority regime started on the orders of Washington in September 1980 in a futile bid to overthrow the newly founded Islamic Republic system or at least stop Iran's progress and development in various fields.
It was the insight and foresight of the Father of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini that breathed faith, courage, and self-confidence into the Iranian people, especially the youths, enabling them to believe in their potentials and capacities. Thereafter, the Iranian youths started a Jihadi movement in scientific fields, turning threats and shortcomings into an opportunity for progress and development, thereby achieving significant successes in different branches of science and technology.
Currently, Iran ranks among the topmost countries in a wide variety of scientific fields such as the nuclear fuel cycle, stem cells, Nano-technology, and biotechnology. Iran's superiority in numerous scientific arenas, its glittering performance in the field of medicine, in addition to scores of other examples of progress, are the products of the collective efforts and indomitable spirit of the grand Iranian nation, thanks to the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
The Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, in his prudent and insightful recommendations, has put emphasis on continuation of Iran's growth in science and research, as a necessity for maintenance of the national might and dignity.
Iran holds top global rankings in many branches of science. These astonishing accomplishments have been made in the face of the illegal scientific, financial, and economic sanctions imposed on the Iranian nation by the US.
Treatment of many diseases through use of modern sciences; indigenization and production of new and strategic medicines; production of equipment, and implementation of several studies, are part of the achievements of the scientific movement initiated in Islamic Iran following the triumph of the Islamic Revolution.
A glance at the innumerable accomplishments which have been made in the field of medicine, especially over the past six years, shows that Iran has taken a giant leap in this scientific field. In the meantime, publication of scores of articles by Iranian scientists in the prestigious international scientific magazines; the significant growth of Iranian scientific companies; development of Iran's scientific cooperation worldwide; education of highly skilled human resources of Iran with the intention of further advancement in scientific research in the coming years, are part of the Islamic Republic’s major achievements.
The Islamic Revolution after leaving four decades of success behind in the face of the most intensive plots of Global Arrogance, has now entered its second 40-year phase, with promises of further successes.
The Islamic Republic is determined to further advance its scientific growth. This speaks of the dynamism of the Islamic Revolution, and is one of the important recommendations of Ayatollah Khamenei for second 40-year phase of the Islamic Revolution and Iran.

End of Israel is Near

By: Kayhan Int’l

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution once again emphasized the need for Islamic unity and coordinated steps by the Ummah to help the oppressed people of Palestine liberate the homeland from the Zionist usurpers.
The words of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who several years back predicted the end of Israel within 25 years, are worth pondering upon as the huge electronic clock at Tehran’s Palestine Square ticks to remind passersby and the whole world of the fast approaching doom of the Zionist regime which Britain had planted in part of Palestine in 1948 after illegally settling tens of thousands of non-Israelite and non-Semitic European Jews of Khazar origin.
He was addressing an assembly of attendees of the 33rd International Islamic Unity Conference from 93 countries, as well as envoys of Islamic countries in Tehran and senior officials of the three branches of the government, in addition to military commanders on the auspicious occasion of the blessed birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA).
Muslim solidarity Unity is essential for resolving the issues of the Ummah, and over the past forty years, the Islamic Republic of Iran has spared no efforts in this regard in line with its principled policy of promoting solidarity amongst Muslims worldwide, as is evident by its marking of Islamic Unity Week that bridges the two dates of the month of Rabi al-Awwal believed to be the birthday of the Almighty’s Last and Greatest Messenger to mankind with the universal message of Islam – 12th and 17th.
Thanks to such initiatives by Tehran Islamic awareness has spread all over the globe much to the chagrin of the Zionists and their godfathers, the US and Britain, as well as their newfound Arab reactionary cousins who hate the idea of Muslim brotherhood.
At any rate, the inevitable cannot be averted, and whether Israel and its advocates like it or not, Palestine will eventually return to the Islamic fold, in all its entirety along with the al-Aqsa Mosque.
Here, as the Leader emphasized, Iran and the Muslims of the region are not against Jews, which have a right to live as citizens of Muslim countries including an independent Palestine free of all vestiges of over seven decades of the filth called Zionism.
In other words, Israel does not belong to this part of the world, and if it wants to survive, it can relocate itself to any part of the United States of America, or to Europe where it is alleged that something called a holocaust is said to have taken place during the Second World War.
Well in the absence of documented evidence, we are not sure whether such a thing happened during Nazi rule, and we are not interested either, since the holocaust neither occurred in Palestine or any Muslim land.
Therefore, the sooner the curtain comes down on Israel in the Muslim land of Palestine the better for the region and the whole world. If there is no peaceful end, then the only solution is a united armed struggle on the pattern of the liberation of Palestine in 1187 that ended the 88-year long illegal existence of the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem.
Keep your fingers crossed, history repeats itself.

Leader says 1953 coup marks beginning of U.S. hostility against Iran

TEHRAN – The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said on Sunday that the U.S. enmity against Tehran dates back to a Washington-sponsored coup against the legal government of Iran in 1953, noting that the U.S. in now weaker than that time but more “barbaric and flagrant”.
Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei made the remarks during a meeting with thousands of pupils and university students one day ahead of the Aban 13, which marks the U.S. embassy seizure in Tehran by students on November 4, 1979.
Since the takeover of the U.S. embassy, Iranians have been celebrating the occasion every year by holding rallies on the anniversary and viewing it as the national day against “global arrogance”.
“The wolfish U.S. has certainly become weaker, but in the meantime, it has become more barbaric and flagrant,” the Leader reiterated, adding, “The Islamic Republic of Iran, in response, has blocked the entire ways on U.S. return and influence via mighty defense and logical rejection of any talks (with the White House).”
Noting that the United States has never been trustworthy, the Leader said, “The government which was overthrown (in the 1953 coup), in fact, was hit by the stick of reliance on the great Satan (the U.S.).”
Ayatollah Khamenei went on to say that today those who see dialogue with the U.S. as a remedy for problems are seriously mistaken.
“Negotiation with the U.S. is indeed fruitless. Those who consider resumption of talks with the U.S. as the only way out of the country’s problems are one hundred percent wrong. There will be no achievement from talks with the Americans, because they certainly will not give any concession to us.”
In the 1953 coup d'état (known in Iran as the 28 Mordad coup), the democratically elected government of Iran led by Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddeq was overthrown on August 19, 1953.  The coup was orchestrated jointly by the United States (under the name “Pejak Project”) and the United Kingdom (under the name of “Operation Boot”).
The coup saw the formation of a military government under Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, who progressed from a constitutional monarch to an authoritarian one who relied heavily on United States' support to hold on to power until his own overthrow in February 1979.

Pakistani FM says Iran, Saudi Arabia should bridge differences

Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that Iran and Saudi Arabia should bridge differences.
In an interview with Aaj News, he said that Pakistan will continue efforts in line with reducing tension in Iran-Saudi Arabia relations, ISNA reported on Tuesday.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Tehran on Sunday to “facilitate” possible dialogue between Iran and Saudi Arabia which have been at loggerheads over a number of issues including the Saudi war on Yemen.
He met with Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Hassan Rouhani.
Khan was scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
The Pakistani prime minister visited Iran as the tension in the region is getting more complicated. On Friday morning, an Iranian oil tanker was struck by two missiles in the Red Sea, 60 miles away from Saudi coastlines.
Khan has said that he is making an effort to reduce tension between Tehran and Riyadh. Prior to the Sunday visit to Tehran, he held talks with Saudi Arabia’s leaders in Riyadh as well as Rouhani at the United Nations in September.
On Saturday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said Tehran is ready for a talk with Saudi Arabia with or without a mediator.
During a joint press conference with Khan, Rouhani indirectly referred to Saudi Arabia by saying that Iran will give a positive response to “good intention”.
“Iran welcomes good intention and efforts by the Pakistani prime minister to settle tension in the region to restore peace and stability to the region,” he said.
During a separate meeting with Khan, Ayatollah Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, said that ending the war in Yemen will have positive effects on the Middle East region.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran presented a four-point plan to end the war in Yemen a long time ago and if this war ends in the right way, it can have positive effects on the region,” the Leader said.
He described peace and security in West Asia as very “sensitive” and “important” and expressed regret over certain regional countries’ “destructive” role in supporting terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria and causing war and bloodshed in Yemen.
The Leader added, “We have no motivation for animosity with these countries, but they are influenced by the United States and act against the Islamic Republic of Iran in line with the United States’ will.”
Deputy Chairman of Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Kamal Dehghani Firouzabadi has said that there are promising signs in revitalizing ties between Tehran and Riyadh.
In an article published by IRNA on Monday, he said it seems that the future of relations has become more promising.
“We can point three signs in this respect. First is negotiations on Hajj [in August] which were held without impediment and reached maximum results. The second is direct talks between Iranian and Saudi oil ministers [in October] during which the officials called each other ‘friend’ despite the tension in past years…The third, and most important one, is Saudi Arabia’s call for mediation,” he wrote.
However, he said that there are still some “worries” and “concerns”.
“Undoubtedly, certain regional players, with the Israeli regime at the head of them, will never tolerate de-escalation. Even the United States can tale the same position as Israel because the continuation of tension in the Middle East will be a profitable market for Washington to sell weapons,” he opined.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said in an interview with CBS’s 60 Minutes program aired on September 29 that he preferred a peaceful resolution with Iran, describing it as “much better than the military” option.

Ayatollah Khamenei says U.S. animosity has brought more dignity to IRGC

IRGC has dignity both inside and outside of Iran, Leader notes
TEHRAN - Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Sunday that the United States’ “animosity” toward the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has brought more dignity to it.
“The United States has brought more dignity to the Guards with its hostile behavior. Today, thanks to God, the Guards has dignity both inside and outside of the country,” he said during a ceremony held for the student officers and guards trainees at Imam Hussain Academy.
He added, “The United States brought more dignity to the Guards with its hostile behavior, because animosity of God’s enemies makes the faithful servants dearer.”
Elsewhere, he attached great importance to military, defense and intelligence preparedness by armed forces in the face of threats against the country.
The Leader also reiterated his long-held position on self-sufficiency, saying the defense equipment must be manufactured inside the country.
“The military equipment of the IRGC must be advanced and up-to-date. You yourselves should invent and manufacture them.”
Elsewhere, Ayatollah Khamenei described the Arbaeen march as “an example of real power”.
“Huge gathering of pilgrims on the route toward Karbala, which means moving toward summit of honor, altruism and martyrdom, shows power of Islam and the Islamic resistance front,” he remarked.
The Leader says Iran will not back down in the face of U.S. pressure based on the teachings of Imam Hussein’s movement and Arbaeen.
He also noted that Iran will not back down against the U.S. pressure based on the teachings of Imam Hussein’s movement and Arbaeen.
Arbaeen marks an end to a 40-day mourning period following the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) and his loyal companions at the Battle of Karbala on Muharram 10 in the year 61 AH (680 CE).
So far more than two million Iranians have crossed the border to visit the shrine of Imam Hussein, the grandson of Prophet Muhammed (S), in Karbala.

Ending war in Yemen will have positive effects on region: Ayatollah Khamenei

TEHRAN - Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Sunday that ending war in Yemen will have positive effects on the Middle East region.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran presented a four-point plan to end war in Yemen a long time ago and if this war ends in a right way, it can have positive effects in the region,” Leader said during a meeting with visiting Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The Leader described peace and security in West Asia as very “sensitive” and “important” and expressed regret over certain regional countries’ “destructive” role in supporting terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria and causing war and bloodshed in Yemen.
He added, “We have no motivation for animosity with these countries, but they are influenced by the United States and act against the Islamic Republic of Iran in line with the United States’ will.”
Elsewhere in his talks with Prime Minister Khan, Ayatollah Khamenei said Iran has never initiated a war “but if anyone starts a war against Iran will undoubtedly regret.”
In April 2015, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif submitted a letter to Ban Ki-moon, then UN secretary general, outlining Iran’s four-point peace plan for Yemen.
The plan calls for an immediate ceasefire and end of all foreign military attacks, humanitarian assistance, a resumption of broad national dialogue and establishment of an inclusive national unity government.
Elsewhere, Ayatollah Khamenei described Iran-Pakistan relations as brotherly and attached importance to expansion of ties and promotion of security in borders.
For his part, Khan called Iran and Pakistan brotherly countries and said that Islamabad seeks to expand relations with Iran.
Pakistan considers Iran an “important partner” especially in economic area, the prime minister said.

Atomic Bomb Is Definitely Haram in Islam

Ayatollah Khamenei:
TEHRAN (kayhan Intl)-- Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said Wednesday that Iran could have taken the step to develop nuclear weapons but it did not and will not because their use is "haram", or forbidden in Islam.
The Leader made the remarks as he highlighted the role of science in human life and destiny, saying science unlocks the true benefits of knowledge only when it is paired with the right understanding of humanitarianism.
"In the case of the key and very beneficial nuclear science...  when it was paired with a thirst for more power, it resulted in the creation of the atomic bomb and turned into a major threat to the world and humanity," the Leader said.
"Although we could have taken steps on this path, based on Islamic ruling we firmly and bravely said we won't take this path," Ayatollah Khamenei told a group of academics.
"Both building and stockpiling it is wrong, as using it is haram," the Leader said.
"If we had a nuclear weapon, it would have been obvious that it would have been impossible for us to use anywhere," he said. "Under Islamic principles it is definitely haram."
Iran vehemently denies having ever sought an atomic bomb and says its nuclear program is for peaceful energy production and medical purposes only.
In May last year, President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew the United States from a landmark 2015 deal that gave Iran relief from sanctions in return for curbs on its nuclear program.
Ayatollah Khamenei said while Iran sees no shame in learning new sciences from others, it does not want its universities to duplicate the American education system and copy the "wrong Western culture."
"Imitating others will kill innovation and the real vigor that comes with science," he said.
The Leader advised Iranian officials to protect the young elite generation from becoming subjected to the phenomenon of brain drain that is being encouraged by certain groups.
He said the Iranian prodigies are the valuable assets of their own country and must be protected against attempts to lure them out of the country using financial incentives and other false promises.
The Leader also hailed the Iranian scientists' achievements in defense, medical sciences, engineering, nanotechnology and peaceful nuclear energy despite the increasing foreign pressure.
"We live in a different situation than others," Ayatollah Khamenei said. "We need to think Iranian, act Iranian and live Iranian and this trend can be accelerated by adopting the Islamic-Iranian blueprint for progress."
He said Iranians need to attain such high scientific standards that "in 50 years' time, all elites wishing to acquire the latest scientific findings should learn the language of Farsi. This is something that can be achieved through reliance on Iranian genius, intellect and persistence."

Islam Forbids WMDs; Science Without Ethics “Self-Destructive”

By:Kayhan Int’l

Science is a double-edged sword, which could either be used to secure human welfare, or could be used for destructive purposes.
This means, if scientific researches, experiments, and inventions are not properly controlled by ethics and regulated by religious principles, the result will be catastrophic, leading to decline of humanitarian values, devastation of societies (both moral and physical), destruction of the natural environment, and finally damnation of the soul – of not just the perpetrators of mischief, but also of those who do not raise their voice against the misuse of science and technology.
This was the gist of the message of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in his address yesterday in Tehran to a group of scientific prodigies, and through them to the whole world, especially the political powers endangering the survival of mankind by posing existential threat to the whole planet, as is evident from their assembling of doomsday arsenals, including nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei reiterated for the umpteenth time that Islamic laws forbid the manufacture of weapons of mass destruction, including the atomic bomb.
He said in crystal clear words, without the least ambiguity: "Science without ethics is hazardous to mankind. Nuclear science, as it was not in harmony with the culture of humanity, led to the development of nuclear bombs and to this day it poses a threat to the world.
"We decisively and bravely refrained from it (building the bomb) even though we had the ability, since both manufacturing and stockpiling atomic bombs are wrongful, because their use is "haram” (or religiously forbidden).”
The Leader’s verdict on misuse of nuclear energy to build WMDs, has been highlighted by all international media horns. The politicians in the region and the world very well know that there is no deviation in Iran’s peaceful nuclear project which is constantly under the watchful eyes of the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Yet rulers of countries possessing doomsday arsenals and not held accountable to any international watchdog, shamelessly accuse Iran of attempts to build the bomb, so as to justify economic terrorism against a nation for its firm adherence to the enlightening laws of Islam and refusal to kowtow to them.
The roots of this hypocrisy and the doomsday scenario that they have created, lie in their lack of faith in God Almighty, coupled with their submission to the dictates of the devil.
This could be traced to the industrialization of the West in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries that has resulted in the degradation of our environment, causing over exploitation of the Earth’s resources, extinction of many bird and animal species, pollution of air, water, and the soil, military proliferation and toxic wastes, among other things.
The environmental crisis thus created is the result of a greed for unlimited economic growth, without the least consideration of moral values and religious precepts.
This insatiable greed has been fueled by the materialism and secularism of the industrialized societies which view both nature and the human being, especially young women, as commodities that are to be exploited to the maximum. If the process of technological development continues unchecked, there is no hope for humanity in the future.
At a time, when the nation-states have shown their incompetence in combating environmental crises and in preventing misuse of science and technology, it is the moral responsibility of the religious leaders to come forward and voice their protest as one of the best ways of preventing both individuals and societies from what it seems to be imminent doom.
With this in mind, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, whose words resonate globally, advised Iranian scientists, technicians, scholars, and the prodigious young brains to ensure that their researches, experiments, and inventions, are all within the safe and secure spheres of moral values and Islamic laws.
Ayatollah Khamenei said without mincing words said: "Science can be dangerous if it does not go along with an upright mindset and culture; that is why we believe that academic elites must adhere firmly to "religion” and "national values”.
"Therefore, purify your hearts as much as you can, and always keep in mind the Almighty God, in your words and in your actions; then you will feel Divine help and assistance in your continuous progress.”

Islam Inspires Palestinian Pursuit for Liberation of Homeland

By S. Nawabzadeh

"Where there is a will there is a way” runs a famous English proverb. It refers to the resolve of those who refuse to yield, be intimidated, or are dissuaded from striving to achieve the goals upon which they have set their eyes – whatever field that might be, ranging from academic degrees and scientific endeavours to trade, missionary zeal for promoting the right cause, and the complex world of politics.
On the global level, the Islamic Republic of Iran stands out as the model of the morally upright system safeguarding peace, stability and security of not just the Iranian nation, but also of the regional people, with its indomitable spirit of resistance against any kind of plots, conspiracies, exploitations, economic terrorism and military aggressions.
Over the past forty years, this iron-resolve of the Islamic Revolution has infused a new life into long-oppressed nations by building their trust in Almighty God, firming up their faith in the dynamism of Islam, and strengthening dauntlessness against the inflated might of the enemies, for the lively struggle to reclaim their denied birthrights by shattering the myth of invincibility of occupiers of their homelands.
As a result, freedom movements are flourishing in the region and beyond, from the shores of the Indian Ocean to the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, including the land of Palestine, where this new spirit of resistance breathed by the Father of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini, has turned into nightmare the daydreams of Zionism to create ‘Greater Israel’ from the River Nile in Egypt to the River Euphrates in Iraq.
On Saturday, October 5, one such popular movement, the Islamic Jihad, marked the 32nd anniversary of its founding in Gaza, with tens of thousands of Palestinians reaffirming their resolve to end the illegal existence of the Zionist entity.
"No to the accursed Oslo Accords, and no to everything that stems from our enemies, including Donald Trump’s conspiracy of the century”, were among the vociferous chants of the besieged people of Gaza, as they rallied in the streets.
The huge rally that included hundreds of fighters from the al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, was addressed by Secretary-General Ziyad an-Nakhaleh, who rightly remarked: "Gaza, which has always been oppressed, is now a cornerstone to be reckoned with in the equations of war, and represents the vigour of its men and its resistance, along with the steadfastness of its people.”
Ziyad an-Nakhaleh, who was in Iran late last year to meet the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, was full of confidence for the date of destiny of the Palestinian people with their ultimate victory, which no plots disguised as peace by the Zionists, the Americans, and the reactionary Arabs (who have virtually sold out Palestine to Israel), can be put off, as the giant electronic clock in Tehran’s Palestine Square reminds every passerby of the fast approaching end of Israel.
He denounced the deception of detractors who from time to time come up with devilish designs such as the Saudi initiative or the Bahrain conference, saying: "The worst thing we face today is the belief held by some that we can talk with the enemy in peace and that peace is possible between Palestinians and the Israeli regime.”
Apropos to the spirit of resistance of Islamic Jihad and the Palestinian people. They are indeed witnessing the wonders that are worked by willpower, coupled with innovative defence technology, as demonstrated by the Ansarallah Movement against the US-British-Israeli backed state terrorism of Saudi Arabia that has failed to derail the determination of the people of Yemen in safeguarding their independence.
If the daily improving drones and missiles of the Yemeni people can pierce with precision the American-supplied Patriot defence batteries of the Saudi regime, why shouldn’t Islamic Jihad, Hamas, and other Palestinian liberation groups, borrow this technology to shatter the iron domes of the cowardly Zionists!
Of course, they will do it, and it is their right to acquire it, since it is willpower, self-confidence, and faith in Islam, that makes a nation triumph with the skillful use of both diplomacy and defence equipment, against the far superior firepower of the cowardly enemies, as is the case in the Arabian Peninsula, where a spurious entity like British created Saudi Arabia, is crumbling despite possessing hundreds of billions of dollars of state-of-the-art military hardware supplied by the Americans, the British, and the French.
So British-planted Israel count your days, the Palestinians, along with their Yemeni and Lebanese brethren are part of the Resistance, and are determined to liberate their entire homeland, including Islam’s former qibla Bayt al-Moqaddas.

Iran will continue reducing nuclear commitments: Leader

Ayatollah Khamenei says U.S. policy of maximum pressure has failed

TEHRAN - Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday that Iran will continue to reduce commitments under the 2015 nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
“Reducing nuclear commitments, for which the Atomic Energy Organization is responsible, should continue seriously and precisely as it was announced by the government till it reaches favorable result and it will definitely reach the result,” Ayatollah Khamenei said during a meeting with the High Council of the Commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The Leader also said the United States’ policy of “maximum pressure” against Iran has ended in failure.
“They imagined Iran would be forced to show flexibility if they applied policy of maximum pressure. With the help of God, they understand that the maximum pressure has caused problems for themselves,” the Leader stated.
The Leader describes sanctions on Iran’s oil sale as a “short term problem”.Referring to President Hassan Rouhani’s visit to the annual UN summit in New York last week, the Leader said, “Recently, they (the U.S.) made unfruitful efforts with the help of their European friends to form a symbolic show of Iran’s surrender and to make the Iranian president to meet with them. However, Iran will continue reducing nuclear commitments seriously and determinedly till reaching favorable result.”
U.S. President Donald Trump, who quit the nuclear deal in May 2018 and imposed the harshest ever sanctions on Tehran, has been repeatedly calling for dialogue with Iran.
On May 8, exactly one year after the U.S. abandoned the deal, Tehran began to partially reduce its commitments to the agreement at bi-monthly intervals.
In the first stage, Iran announced that it will not limit its stockpile of the nuclear fuel to 300 kilograms allowed under the deal. However, on that date (May 8) Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) said if the remaining parties to the JCPOA, especially Europeans, devise a mechanism to protect it from the sanctions effect in the two-month deadline it will reverse its decision.
But since European parties missed the deadline, on July 7 Iran announced that it has started enriching uranium to a higher purity than the 3.67%, thereby starting the second step.
As Europe missed the second 60-day deadline, Iran moved to take the third step, removing ban on nuclear research and development (R&D).
In a letter on September 5, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif notified European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini about Iran’s third step.
‘Relying on domestic capabilities is solution to problems’
Ayatollah Khamenei also said that relying on domestic capabilities is solution to economic problems.
He described sanctions on Iran’s oil sale as a “short term problem”.
If proper actions is taken, the country can reach a “long-term benefit” from this “short term problem” which is non-reliance on oil revenues, the Leader remarked.

US bleak record of conduct (2)

The regional developments in recent years have shown that US-led hegemonic powers take advantage of terrorism and extremism for achievement of their goals.
Terrorism and extremism is a threat against Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Syria, and the global peace and security.
In the view of Iran, resolution of the problem of terrorism and insecurity is tied to several factors; the most important of which is severance of the infiltration and interference of foreign powers; and reinforcement and consolidation of cooperation among regional countries.
The Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, wrote two letters to Western youths, in the year 2015; putting emphasis on the reconsideration of root causes of entrapment of mankind in violence and radicalism.
In these letters, the Leader of Islamic Revolution, rightfully mentioned the contradictory and paradoxical policies of the US and the West toward terrorism; the military attack on the World of Islam; bloodshed in Palestine, and the necessity to confront aggressive views.
Although there is no single definition of terrorism, and while many countries consider opposition toward ruling systems as terrorism; however, based on the presented definitions, the word terrorism means forcing an individual and/or a group to do something via scaremongering. In all of the definitions presented for the word terrorism, weapons have not been named as the sole means of scaremongering. Now, the question which springs to mind, is that who is a terrorist?
A few years ago, the US carried out a new act of terrorism, which is referred to as economic terrorism. The Islamic Republic of Iran is one of the targets of US economic terrorism. Throughout the recent years, economic terrorism against Iran has intensified.
In this process, the US, via unilateralism and imposition of illegal sanctions has challenged the economic and social development of the international community.
Iran's Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, in his recent keynote remarks at UN Headquarters in New York, noted that imposition of illegal sanctions by the US on the Iranian nation violates UN Security Council Resolution 2231, and poses a major threat against the goals of sustainable development in Iran and many of its neighboring countries.
In regards to hurdles to growth and development, Iran's foreign minister referred to regional threats, and the lack of security which has been stirred by the foreign supporters of terrorism; while calling for the re-commitment of countries around the world toward multilateralism, and formation of global solidarity in order to lay the grounds for continuous economic growth and sustainable development of all countries.
The fact of the matter is that countries like Iran never submit to terrorism, and will ultimately defeat economic terrorism.
Despite the consequences of imposition of illegal sanctions against the grand Iranian nation; Islamic Iran has stood firm against US pressures and economic terrorism, via the relentless efforts of the Iranian nation and the sacred Islamic system, based on the national principles and priorities.
Meanwhile, it should be noted that if the international community does not unite and take measures against economic terrorism, this terrorism will spread across the world, sooner or later.
Terrorism, in all of its forms and shapes, is a problem which has been stirred by the US and its cohorts; with the collaboration of a number of aggressive and mischievous regimes in the region. The new form of terrorism stirred by the US emerged in the aftermath of 9/11, with the US invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, and the meddlesome policies of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in the region.
US regional allies, who have supported Al-Qaeda, Taliban, former Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein, and extremists; have supported terrorist outfits in recent years in a futile bid to somehow stir insecurity in Islamic Iran. in the past 40 years, Islamic Republic of Iran has been one of the main victims of terrorism and extremism, and has made utmost efforts to uproot this ominous and sinister phenomenon. More than 17,000 Iranian officials and ordinary people have been the victims of terrorism in the past 40 years, and the sacred Islamic system and the Iranian nation are highly determined to uproot terrorism and terrorist outfits.
The US regime plays a destructive role in regional and international equations. The US, via creation of Al-Qaeda terrorist outfit, and supporting Daesh terrorist group, turned West Asia into a crisis-stricken, and war-torn region.
Meanwhile, the US president, Donald Trump, in a baseless claim, has blatantly named Iran and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, which is the champion of campaign against terrorism in the region, as supporters of terrorism.
In the meantime, the US-based daily, The Boston Globe, in a report, has lashed out against the double standards of the US administration toward terrorism; noting that Iran has been accused of supporting terrorism because this country is against the domineering and meddlesome policies of the US in the region.

Ayatollah Khamenei: Intra-Yemeni dialogue needed for a united Yemen

TEHRAN – Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, said on Tuesday Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have committed “great crimes” in Yemen.
The Leader made the remarks in a meeting with Mohammed Abdulsalam, the spokesman for Yemen’s Ansarullah and chief negotiator of the National Salvation Government.
The Leader also said Riyadh and Abu Dhabi are seeking to break up Yemen and this should be strongly resisted.
“They are after dividing up Yemen but there must be a strong resistance against this plot and (it is necessary to) support an integrated, united Yemen with its territorial integrity,” the Leader asserted.
Ayatollah Khamenei added protecting the Yemeni territorial integrity in view of its diverse religious and ethnic diversity entails intra-Yemeni dialogue.
Praising the Yemeni old and rich civilization, Ayatollah Khamenei lauded the Yemeni people’s resistance against military invasions for five years and predicted that they will win the war and succeed to form a strong government.
The Leader also referred to U.S. complicity in the war on Yemen, saying the Islamic Republic’s anti-U.S. and anti-Western position is not out of “prejudice” but because of realities and the record of rulers in the U.S. and the West.
These countries, with a superficial civil and ethical appearance, commit the “worst crimes” and constantly talk about human rights, Ayatollah Khamenei regretted.

The United States is the main supplier of advanced weapons to the Saudi-led military alliance against Yemen. The atrocities committed against civilians in Yemen are so awful that even Congress has voted against selling weapons to Saudi Arabia but the bill has been vetoed by President Trump.
Some European countries such as Britain, France and Germany also sell arms to the countries pounding Yemen. The United States even provides logistical support for Saudi Arabia in pounding the country.
According to the United Nations, Yemen suffers one of the longest humanitarian crises in the world.
Yemen has been under military attack by a Saudi-led alliance since March 2015. Saudi Arabia launched war on the country with the aim of reinstating the toppled government of Mansur Hadi in a matter of weeks. However, more than four years have passed and still there is no victory in sight.
In April 2015, Iran proposed a four-point plan for the resolution of conflict in Yemen.
In a post on his Twitter post on November 2018, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif again reminded about Tehran’s four-point plan, saying: "War on Yemen must be stopped. We urge ceasefire, humanitarian assistance, intra-Yemeni dialogue & establishment of broad-based government."

Leader Confirms Seyyed Nasrollah’s Prediction of Prayers in Bayt al-Moqaddas

By: S. Nawabzadeh

For the moment Global Arrogance is giving final touches to its Conspiracy of the Century on the assumption that this will change forever the culture and identity of Palestine.
The Zionists who are in occupation of this historical heartland of Islam since 1948 after being illegally settled in it by the British between the two World Wars, as part of the plot of western imperialism to change the texture and demography of Palestine, presume they are here to stay, especially since godfather Donald Trump has blessed them with the city of Bayt al-Moqaddas.
The rootless Arab regimes, with no history, geography, culture, or identity of their own in the fiefdoms carved out for them by colonial Britain, and their sharing of the hatred of Islamic Iran with their newfound Israeli cousins, think that having endorsed the devilish designs of Jared Kushner, the Jewish son-in-law of Trump, they have managed to kill the chronic issue of Palestine through empty promises of billions of dollars, and in the process ensured their own precarious survival.
Does this mean the ‘Zionisation’ of Palestine is almost complete and soon the sacred Dome of the Rock and its spiritual atmosphere might be replaced by an ugly temple of the non-Israelite and non-Semitic Khazars of pagan origin who masquerade as ‘Jews’ to the detriment of the orthodox adherents of Judaism?
No definitely not. Those dreaming of such absurdities, despite their elaborate plans, will soon be entrapped in never-ending nightmares that drag them to the netherworld.
As the Leader of the Islamic Revolution prophesied in Tehran on Monday, July 22, during an important meeting with a delegation from Gaza representing Hamas (the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement):
"Victory is based on irrefutable Divine Promise, and achieved through Jihad in all its aspects – political, cultural, intellectual, economic and military…To us, Seyyed Hassan Nasrollah’s recent remarks "Insha Allah (God Willing), I will perform prayers at Bayt al-Moqaddas”, is an absolutely achievable aspiration.”
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, while receiving the letter of Ismail Haniyeh, the Chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau, from his deputy Saleh al-Arouri, was referring to the prediction made earlier this month in Beirut by Secretary of Lebanon’s legendry anti-terrorist movement, the Hezbollah, on the timing of the liberation of Palestine: "It is all in Allah’s Hand, but based on logic I have high hope that we will pray in al-Qods.”
In spite of these clear indicators of the fast approaching end of illegal Israel, as the real Jews also desire, those doubting the words of either the Leader of the Islamic Revolution or the Master of Resistance (in the Levant), are living in a fool’s paradise.
The Godless Trump and his team of thugs, including the avowedly anti-Christ and profoundly pro-Zionist Mike Pence, Mike Pompeo, and John Bolton, along with their policies of economic terrorism and military threats against Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, Hashd ash-Sha’bi (of Iraq) and all other forces of Resistance, are merely a passing phase in the glorious history of Islam and the Muslim people – if not a tribulation or an ordeal to test their degree of faith and prudence.
Divine Providence has already decreed the end of Israel and triumph of the Muslim people of Palestine, whose extraordinary grit was lauded by Ayatollah Khamenei, who reiterating Iran’s commitment to the cause of Islam’s former qibla (prayer direction), warned of the Conspiracy of the Century to destroy Palestinian identity, and emphasized collective efforts to defeat this plot.
Ismail Haniyeh’s letter to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and his declaration of solidarity with Iran against the sinister designs of the US at a time when the Palestinian Resistance is in possession of precision missiles capable of piercing the so-called iron dome of the enemy all over the occupied land, is proof of the fact that the Conspiracy of the Century is doomed to fail.
No matter, whether Washington and its stooges in Tel Aviv and the reactionary Arab capitals, like it or not, in the words of Haniyeh, the days are approaching for "the liberation of Palestine from Zionist tyranny, and all fighters of God, and the Muslim Ummah will perform prayers at the al-Aqsa Mosque.”
The Second Phase of the Islamic Revolution, as the Leader described the start of the 41st year in his New Year address on March 20, is all poised to shatter the much inflated might of Global Arrogance, and carry the message of freedom from the perimeters of liberated Palestine to the emerging nations in the New World in what is currently the United States of America, but will not exist anymore as people fed up with corruption and tyranny determine the independence of Texas, California, Florida and other currently oppressed lands, where the Hispanics are considered second class citizens and the people of colour scoffed as animals by the white supremacists in the White House.

Leader: Trump’s presidency, clear sign of US political-moral decline

Here is the second and concluding part of the memorable speech of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, on 14th Khordad or June 4, the 30th passing away anniversary of the Father of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA).

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said: “Numerous ayahs in the Qur’an all give this promise to those who are on the path of resistance. One part of the strong argument and logic of the Late Imam stems from these ayahs.
“The fifth point that should be considered for the logic of resistance, as Imam Khomeini did is that resistance is a feasible course of action. This is the exact opposite of the wrong notion that some people have. Such individuals say: “It is of no use. How do you resist? The other side is a thug and bully. He is strong.
“This is a grave mistake. The grave mistake is thinking that it is not possible to resist and to stand up against global bullies. I wish to explain this a little more because it is an important matter which is related to our affairs. In the present time, we have some people wearing the clothes of intellectuality and the like who suggest in the press, in their books, in their speeches here and there that it is no use challenging them, that it is not possible to stand up against them and that we should accept their terms. The gist of their statements is that we should let them ride us, thus relieving ourselves of all the problems. I will tell you that the outlook of “we cannot” results from the same error in calculation which I have mentioned before.
“Such errors of calculation in every matter result from failing to correctly see the different dimensions of a matter. When the issue is about a confrontation – an encounter between two fronts – the error of calculation stems from failing to gain a correct understanding about our own front and that of the other side. When we fail to gain a correct understanding, we will make a mistake in our calculations. However, if we understand it correctly, our calculations will be different. I will tell you that in our calculations on the issue of resistance against global bullies, we should correctly understand the facts about these bullies and the facts about ourselves. One of these facts is our power of resistance.
“Notice that in the political literature of the world, the phrase “resistance in the fashion of Imam Khomeini” is a well-known phrase. Westerners used a phrase which became very common after the liberation of Khorramshahr. This phrase is, “The Doctrine of Imam Khomeini.” They brought up this phrase and wrote articles about it. A well-known world political personality wrote it in an article: “The time for the extraordinary role of military and economic power – which is in the hands of global powers – is coming to an end. That a country which has a great military and economic capability wishes to continue its dominance, the time for these things is coming to an end because the world has changed. In a not-too-distant future, we will be witness to trans-border powers which are not very strong in terms of military machinery – such as atomic bombs – and which may not have a great share in global industrial productions, but which will have the power to influence millions of people and which will challenge the West’s military and economic domination. The Khomeini Resistance Doctrine has targeted the lifeline of western and American dominance.”
Ayatollah Khamenei said: “These are the secrets of the power of the Islamic Republic. This is the line that that great personality and that righteous servant of God left us: the line of resistance, steadfastness and appreciation of what we have.
“I should add that today, the Resistance Front is in its most solid condition in the past 40 years. This is the case in the region and even in centers beyond the region. This is a reality. The opposite front is an arrogant power: the arrogant power of the US and the seditious and malicious power of the Zionist regime. Over the past 40 years this power has increasingly declined. We should consider this in our calculations. The political, social and economic condition of the US in the past and in the present time should be considered in our calculations.
“Again, this has been acknowledged by some Americans. Some have referred to it as “a termite-like decline.” This has been coined by an American writer. He compares the decline of the US to what occurs with termites. That is to say, it is becoming hollow from the inside like what termites do. This is the case in economic, social and political areas. There are clear statistics about the condition of US economy and its effect on global economy, which has declined astonishingly in recent decades. There are statistics in this regard. I have written them down, but it is not necessary to get into details. American power has declined in the area of politics as well.
“Dear brothers and sisters, I will tell you that if there is only one reason to evidence the political decline of the US, which I will mention – this would be enough: the election of someone like Donald Trump! This election in itself is a sign of the political decline of the US. The fate of three hundred-plus million people is in the hands of someone with these traits: this is a sign of the political decline of the US! When someone becomes the president of a country about whose psychological, mental and moral stability there are many questions, this is a sign of the decline of that country - a political and moral decline. They constantly supported and defended the crimes and slaughter conducted by the Zionist regime. They advocated the crimes of several regimes in Yemen and the slaughter of the innocent people of Yemen. They advocate crimes. Is there ever a moral decline worse than this?
“There are numerous problems inside the US itself. On that day, in the beginning of the month of Ramadhan, I said that the US Department of Agriculture has officially announced that 41 million people in the US wrestle with hunger! This is the condition of the US. This is the economic condition of the US. The US government’s deficit amounts to 2.2 trillion dollars. This is a mythical sum. These sums of money are unbelievable. These are their maladies.
“That is while that person expresses his sympathy with the Iranian nation saying that they want the Iranian nation to be happy and to have job opportunities. You should go correct your own affairs! If you can, you should go correct your own conditions. The US is the first in the world in terms of violent crimes. It is the first in the world in terms of drug consumption. It is the first in the world in terms of killing its own people. It is the first in the world in terms of police killings of the people. The statistics that they themselves have released show that in the past eight months, 830 Americans have been killed on the streets by the police. This is the social condition of a government that challenges the Iranian nation.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said: “And we are the other side of the equation. Of course, we have problems. We have economic problems and we have said this many times. Officials are after resolving these problems within the scope of their power. We have problems, but we do not have any dead-ends! The important point is that we do not have any dead-ends in the country: neither on economic and social matters nor on political matters. We have problems for which there are different reasons, but we have no dead-end in the country.
“On the contrary, we have made progress. At the top of the achievements of our country, there stand the dear people of Iran - these enthusiastic and insightful people. If our people did not have insight, their presence would not be seen where it matters. So, there is popular presence.
“Notice what a large number of people marched on the streets on the February 11 rallies just, four, five months ago. This requires insight, determination, preparedness and willpower. The people of Iran have these: wisdom, insight, the power to stand firm and firm determination. This is the greatest strong point of the country. There are other strong points as well. So, this is the logic of resistance which I spoke about. It was with this logical source of support that Imam entered the arena of resistance.
“My dear ones, one point is that the goal of resistance is to reach the point of deterrence. We should reach a point which has a deterrent effect in the area of economic, political, social and military matters. This point of deterrence should show itself in a way that it discourages the enemy from transgressing against the Iranian nation in all areas.
“The enemy should see that its actions are of no avail and that he cannot do anything to the Iranian nation. We have reached this deterrence point to a large extent in the area of the military. When you see that they insist on the issue of missiles and the like, they know that we have achieved a point of deterrence and stability. Therefore, they want to deprive the country of this. Of course, they will never succeed.
“Our confrontation with our issues and our enemies should first of all be courageous, not cowardly. Second, it should be based on hope, not despair. Third, it should be conducted in a wise and intelligent manner, not in a superficially emotional and sentimental way. Fourth, it should be innovative, not passive. We should be innovative in our confrontation. If we move in this fashion, you should know that the Iranian nation will succeed and move forward in confronting all big powers.
“Another condition for success is that we should pay attention to the plots of the enemy to undermine the philosophy of resistance. My dear ones, notice that the philosophy of resistance is the most powerful weapon for a nation. So, it is natural for the enemy to want to take it away from the Iranian nation. That is why they try to tempt us and make us doubt this philosophy saying, “What is the use of it? It will not work.” The philosophy of resistance should be immunized against the enemy’s plots and it should not be undermined as a result of those plots.”
The Leader continued: “The enemy plots are of different types. They sometimes threaten, and they sometimes tempt. An example is the recent sly move by the “honorable” US president who said, “Iran can make great achievements with their current leaders.” This means, “You current leaders of Iran, we do not want to overthrow you and you should not be worried. We do not want to topple you and we are ready to accept you.” This is a so-called sly policy addressed to the leaders of Iran. Of course, what he says is true. If the current officials of Iran show determination, roll up their sleeves, do not differentiate between day and night to work hard, show diligence, work in harmony and cooperation with one another and use popular resources correctly, more achievements will surely be made. There is no doubt about this, but the condition is that the US stay away!
“The condition for progress is that the US stay away! Whenever the US sets foot somewhere, either a war is waged, a fratricidal move is made, a sedition breaks out or some exploitation, colonialism and humiliation are brought about. The steps of the Americans are sinister steps. If they stay away, we ourselves know what to do. We know our jobs and Allah the Exalted will bestow His blessings and we will move forward, Insha Allah.
“The people are present on the scene and this presence should continue. Yes, the Iranian nation is really prepared!
“I have a word of advice for the honorable officials of the country: they should focus on the main issue. In every era, there is a main issue in the country which should be focused on. Before the victory of the Revolution, the main issue was the evil regime which Imam Khomeini focused upon and succeeded in overthrowing. After the victory of the Revolution the main issue was the firm establishment of the system. At another point in time, the main issue was Saddam’s imposed war against the country during which time the whole country focused on war and thankfully success ensued.
“Today, the main and immediate issue is that of the economy. Of course, cultural matters are important as well. The same is true of security issues, but among all these issues, what is of more urgency is the issue of the economy because it is related to the people’s livelihood problems and it influences cultural and security matters as well.
“Regarding the economy, there are important issues and topics some of which I will mention: one is boosting production. Another is the value of the national currency. Another is improving the environment of business and finance. Another issue is separating the economy of the country from selling crude oil – we should cut the umbilical cord of the budget and the economy from selling crude oil and from crude oil trade! This is one of our main issues. Another issue is turning governmental involvement into governmental guidance and supervision. This is one of the main issues as well. Another is cutting off the hands of individuals engaged in economic corruption: embezzlers, economic terrorists and merciless smugglers whose hands should be cut off from the economy.”
Ayatollah Khamenei said: “Notice that these are the main issues of the economy of the country. The officials of the country – primarily executive officials alongside legislative officials and on certain matters, judiciary officials – should work on these matters in a unanimous manner. They should resolve them because they are the main issues. We should focus on these issues and we should avoid peripheral and trivial matters. We should not create uproar. National solidarity is very important. Putting aside our political and partisan disagreements is very important. And one of the most important matters is preserving our heartfelt relationship with Allah the Exalted.
“This year’s month of Ramadhan was a good period. According to the information that I have, in this year’s month of Ramadhan, the religious gatherings at which speeches were delivered and Islamic teachings clarified, were very warm. In the different neighborhoods of Tehran, large crowds of people – mostly young – gathered together to pray, to shed tears and to supplicate before God. These phenomena prepare the ground for Divine Mercy and guidance.
“Dear youth, your pure and enlightened hearts can act like the key to solving great problems and they can attract divine mercy. I hope that God will make blessed the great and important month of Ramadhan that our people went through for our nation. Today is the last day of Ramadhan and we are in the final hours of this month. It will be good to say a few prayers:
O God I beseech by the blessedness of Your Name – Allah the Great, the Grand, the Almighty, the Magnificent and the Generous – and by the blessedness of Muhammad and his household - O You Beneficent, Merciful and Conqueror of Hearts, make our hearts steadfast towards Your religion. O God, shower Your assistance on the Iranian nation. O God, shower Your assistance on the Muslim Ummah. O God, make the seditionists in the world of Islam humiliated, humbled, notorious and contemptible.
O God, do not deprive us of Your generosity, Your grace, Your pardon and Your forgiveness. Forgive our sins. Forgive the sins that we and our predecessors committed. Forgive our ancestors and our parents
O God, by the blessedness of Muhammad and his household, make us benefit from the prayers of Your Wali, the Lord of the Age, Imam Mahdi (AS) and grant us the honor of being his soldiers (when he reappears to establish the global government of peace, prosperity and justice). Grant us the honor of martyrdom on this path.
