US & Accomplices-in-Crimes Scared to Death at Iran’s Growing Influence

     The picture which has emerged of the current US president after he made a laughing stock of himself during his delusional address from the podium of the World Body on Tuesday September 25 in New York, followed by his stereotyped ranting the next day (September 27) against the Islamic Republic of Iran while chairing the UN Security Council session, is that Donald Trump is not just a deranged demagogue but a cowardly one, scared of his own shadow, as is clear by the preposterous lies he unabashedly utters.

     A characterless person who accumulated wealth through the most foul means before being propelled to the White House, he has filled his cabinet with like-minded crooks (John Bolton, Mike Pompeo), while his only allies on the world scene, in addition to the illegal racist child-killing Zionist entity, are the rootless regimes ruling Bahrain and the British created spurious states called Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates – all of whom have a murderous record against the people they rule and the neighbouring countries where either their armies or their terrorist mercenaries are massacring people and destabilizing the region.        

      No wonder, while the disdain of Trump for the International Criminal Court (ICC), was on full display at the UN Tuesday, Boston the bespectacled bozo chaired a meeting in New York dubbed "United Against Nuclear Iran”, attended by senior officials of the above-mentioned entities – all of whom following failures of their plots in West Asia, cried to their hearts’ content, labelling the weirdest accusations against the stabilizing policies of Islamic Iran.  

    The Jewish-looking foreign minister of Saudi Arabia, Adel al-Jubeir, along with the ambassadors of Bahrain and the UAE in Washington and the director of Israel's Mossad spy agency, Yossi Cohen, collectively called Iran "existential threat” to the fake entities they belong.

     It is obvious their fears stem from their own criminal record, and they very well know that with inspiration from the Islamic Republic the people of the region will eventually drive out the Great Satan to reclaim their rights, which means the spurious entities will simply evaporate.

      That was the reason Bolton bragged about the so-called power of the US and thundered threats at Iran in order to lift the sagging spirits of his audience, while at the bottom of his heart he knows without the least doubt that one wrong move by Washington in this part of the world and the gates of hell open to engulf him, his boss and their accomplices in crimes against the people of Syria, Palestine, Iraq, Lebanon, Bahrain, Yemen and the entire Arabian Peninsula. 

     These hoodlums as well as their rulers should be tried by the International Criminal Court and meted out deserving punishments.

      That was the reason a scared-to-death Trump blurted at the UN General Assembly: "The United States will provide no support and recognition for the International Criminal Court. As far as we are concerned the ICC has no legitimacy or authority.”

     The Trump administration’s attacks against the ICC seek to stop the court’s investigations into US war crimes in Afghanistan and Israeli crimes in Gaza in 2014. A 2016 ICC report says the US committed serious crimes in Afghanistan, including "torture, cruel treatment, outrages upon personal dignity, and rape.”

      John Bolton has also been a harsh critic of the ICC. He said earlier this month: "We will not cooperate with the ICC. We will provide no assistance to the ICC. We will not join the ICC. We will let the ICC die on its own.”

     According to Juan Cole, University of Michigan history professor, Bolton himself could be tried in the ICC for duping the American public into the 2003 launch of the US war on Iraq while he was serving in the George W Bush administration.

     In 2002, while working as the undersecretary of state for arms control and international security under Bush, Bolton said, "We are confident that Saddam has hidden weapons of mass destruction and production facilities in Iraq.” 

These claims were proved wrong, but the Bush administration got its war.

     These are grounds for an ICC investigation into Bolton, according to Cole, who explains: "The UN Charter forbids the initiation of a war except where a country is attacked and responds in self-defense or where the UN Security Council designates a government as a threat to the world order.” 

 Now we know why Bolton is jittery and quakes in his shoes at the mention of the name of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He wrongly thinks that the over-inflated US and its accomplices-in-crimes in the region, will succeed in undermining the growing power and influence of the Islamic Iran.

      The pendulum is in full swing and soon these hardcore thugs, criminals, terrorists – whatever you call them – will meet their deserving fate.

It may prove a gram-changer in the 27-month long Syrian turmoil After the signal victory won by the Syrian army (SAA) over the rebels and merecenaries in the town of Qusayr, the global media is busy assessing the significance of the event. The Western media is busy spinning Qusayr as the insidious influence of Hizbullah over the free will of the Syrian people. In particular, the war-thirsty French media has been proliferating reports that the SAA has been dousing people with sarin gas—while ground reports suggest that NATO and rebel forces are far more likely to be the source of such chemical attacks. In strategic terms, the math is quite different. As reported by Pepe Escobar for Asia Times Online, “[t]his is a monster strategic defeat for the NATO-Gulf Cooperation Council-Israel axis. The supply lines from Lebanon to Homs of the Not Exactly Free Syrian Army (FSA) gangs and the odd jihadi are gone.” According to Sheikh Naim Qassem of Hizbullah, the fall of Qusayr is a blow to the US, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the Sunni extremist groups. “The victory in Qusayr is a sharp blow to the American-Israeli-Takfiri project and a glowing moment for the resistance project in Syria and there is no point to the cries of the international and regional political media in trying to change the historic and geographic realities,” he said on Hizbullah’s Al Manar station. According to American and Israeli military strategists Syria was meant to be a testing ground par excellence to the explosion of the Middle East. According to their specialists, they were planning to pit Hizbullah’s fighters against Sunni extremist groups, heat up the “Persian” versus “Arab” fault line, as a way to topple the government of Bashar al-Asad. All the while, they intended to overstretch Hizbullah in order to give Israel carte blanche over southern Lebanon once more. This defeat may signal the beginning of direct war, involving the US Marines stationed in Jordan in preparation for intervention. A diplomatic report this week from a European embassy seen by the Monitor noted that Hizbullah "has given the regime a much-needed injection of fresh forces to conduct offensive operations." According to the report, "It is unrealistic that it can give the regime the opportunity to capture significant areas back from the rebels, but it may make it impossible even in the medium term for the rebels to tip the military balance." With Turkey, the other principal backer of the rebels and mercenaries, engulfed in its own internal crisis, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has his hands full and may not be able to offer any significant help. In fact, the Syrian government has been quick to offer him a dose of his own rhetoric. The retort by Syrian Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi to Erdogan to “stop the violent repression” and “respect people’s wishes” has riled the Turkish pasha considerably. Meanwhile, the people of Qusayr who had fled the fighting have started returning to their homes, many of them badly damaged due to prolonged strife. On Sunday June 9 a rally was organized in the centre of town led by Homs governor, Ahmed Munir Muhammad who vowed that he would spare no effort to rebuild the town and restore essential services as soon as possible.

How the foreign-backed conspiracy to overthrow Asad is failing in Syria

October, 2012 What has upset foreign conspirators the most is the resilience of the Asad regime. It has lasted 21 months of incessant attacks from inside and out and there are no signs that it is about to collapse. Dubai, Crescent- online October 11, 2012, 00:00 EST The only certainty in war is its uncertainty. As any general, no matter how brilliant, would testify, the best-laid plans are quickly rendered useless by the vagaries of war. This is even more so in internal conflicts where there are far too many variables to make accurate predictions or plans. This thesis is best illustrated by events unfolding in Syria, especially over the last four months. The conspiracy against Bashar al-Asad's regime was hatched in February 2011 in a Paris cafe. The conspirators included in addition to some members of the Syrian opposition, Jeffrey Feltman, an American arch-Zionist, Dan Shapiro, US ambassador to Israel, Bandar bin Sultan, then Saudi Security chief and currently the kingdom's intelligence chief, as well as a representative of Saad Hariri, the playboy and former Lebanese prime minister. According to this plan, the uprising was to be launched in Deraa, a small town in the middle of nowhere. Deraa was chosen because of its proximity to the Jordanian border from where weapons were to be smuggled in. Both the conspirators and Syrian opposition groups were misled by the ease with which Colonel Muammar Qaddafi was overthrown in Libya. It was assumed that like Qaddafi, Asad too would be disposed of in a matter of months if not weeks. The tiny Emirate of Qatar also quickly signed on. Flushed with billions of gas dollars, Qatar is punching way above its weight in regional politics. Initially, Turkey, the most important regional player, was reluctant to jump into the fray. The Turks thought because of their importance, they could persuade Asad to do what they wanted him to do. In May 2011, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu visited Damascus and in a meeting with President Bashar al-Asad, gave him what was essentially a list of demands. Asad gave him a polite hearing but was not going to accept foreign dictation. When Asad refused to comply with Turkish demands, perhaps drawn out with Saudi help (the Saudis cannot stand the Asad clan or the Alawites although for the record Asad is not Alawite but Sunni although that is neither here or there), the Turks took offense and joined the anti-Asad alliance. Weapons started to flood into Syria from Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey. The French, Americans, British, and Turks also provided logistical support as well as intelligence. The Saudis and Qataris offered to buy any senior civilian or military Syrian official willing to defect. There have been few takers. Brigadier Manaf Tlas is the highest ranking military officer to defect. The foreign conspirators faced another problem. The Syrian National Council they cobbled together out of exiled Syrians has no support inside Syria. Further, Syrian opposition groups inside the country detest these rank opportunists whose only ambition seems to be to get their hands on as much foreign cash as possible while people inside the country die. Saudi King Abdullah in particular is greatly worried. As the crisis drags on, he feels it will make life more difficult for him in the kingdom where the succession battle is already intensifying with the first generation of Saudi royals heading to their graves. He has mooted a Yemeni-style transition in Syria. He would be content with Tlas taking over from Asad. This is the other version of the Davutoglu plan whereby he said on October 7 that Turkey would accept Farouk el-Sharaa replacing Asad. These proposals clearly point to the fact that the military option, a la Libya, is not viable in Syria. There are other worries as well. The influx of a large number of foreign mercenaries into Syria is causing great concern for the Saudis, Jordanians and Americans. The Americans have already had a blowback in Benghazi when ambassador Chris Stevens was killed by a Libyan terrorist outfit that was trained and armed by NATO to overthrow Qaddafi. There is also disagreement on how to proceed. A meeting between the intelligence chiefs of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, France and the US in Turkey last month failed to produce a clear plan of action. This was followed on October 10 by a meeting between Saudi intelligence chief Bandar bin Sultan and the Qatari Emir, Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani in Doha, Qatar. This too failed to produce any tangible result because Qatar wants to intensify the war in Syria while the Saudis want a face-saving way out. Of course, Qatar has no army to speak of; it can only provide soccer players that only know how to swing in a night club but cannot handle guns. While the Saudis are getting cold feet, Qatar continues to punch above its weight. Next week it is convening another meeting of Syrian opposition groups to try and unite them. It may be easier to convince the mice to work with cats that Syrian opposition groups to work together. As Shadi Hamid of the Brookings Institution in Doha said: "It's all a bit of a mess." Yes, indeed, it is, and all of their own making. They have nobody but themselves to blame. Those playing with fire are likely to get their fingers burnt.

How to deal with the fitnah of Al Saud

Muslims worldwide must develop a better understanding of the true nature of Al Saud and not fall for their poisonous propaganda

The Muslim world is beset by myriad problems ranging from illegitimate oppressive regimes ruled by dictators and tyrants to massive corruption, mismanagement and extreme inequalities in every society. Almost all ruling elites are also subservient to the West. In its war on Islam and Muslims, the West, led by the US, has murdered countless innocent civilians, their numbers running into the hundreds of thousands, with the connivance of these very Muslim rulers. These problems are serious enough; what Muslims have paid little attention to is to identify the root cause behind their plight. In particular, some regimes more than others, have been eager proponents of advancing imperialism and Zionism’s nefarious agenda against Muslims. The House of Saud, which controls the Arabian Peninsula, tops this list. Readers paying close attention would have noticed that we have not used the name “Saudi” Arabia for the land that was named the Arabian Peninsula by the noble Messenger (pbuh) himself. It is not a piece of real estate that a family from Najd can lay claim to. In any case, the House of Saud, a band of marauding thieves from the backward outpost of Dar‘iyyah in Najd, used to attack and pillage pilgrims’ caravans going for Hajj before the British discovered their murderous skills. The Saudi hordes were recruited for the British colonial enterprise in the Muslim East.

In the early part of the last century, the House of Saud served the British; since the Second World War they have accepted the US as master. To comprehend this relationship and what devastation it has caused to the Ummah, let us consider some basic facts. The House of Saud has deposited nearly $1 trillion in US banks, money that does not belong to it. This money is used by the US to make weapons that are used against innocent Muslims in different parts of the world ranging from Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan toYemen and Somalia. The US also gives these weapons to the Zionist regime to slaughter the hapless Palestinians. Muslims, however, should not be surprised by US behaviour; it is an avowed enemy not only of Muslims but of all the oppressed people in the world. Muslims should look closely into the conduct of the House of Saud, which, not coincidentally, claims to follow Islam.

Instead, this family of thieves has caused immense damage to Islam. It specializes in creating sectarian divisions among Muslims. It has peddled its narrow extremist ideology and imposed it on Muslims in distant lands by using petrodollars to finance madrasahs in places like Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. The narrow-minded extremists that have emerged from these madrasahs have cause havoc in the Ummah through suicide bombings and other terrorist acts. The ongoing terrorist campaign in Pakistan, Iraq andSyria is the direct result of this extremist ideology spawned by the Saudis and actively financed by them. The US and the Zionist regime are active promotors and enablers of this campaign. It should now be clear that al-Qaeda, which had deep roots in the Saudi desert kingdom, is part of the US campaign to re-colonize the Muslim world. The mayhem in Syria is the direct result of al-Qaeda operations, actively encouraged by the US and Israel and financed by the House of Saud.

The reason why most Muslims have failed to grasp the true nature of the House of Saud is because the two holy cities of Makkah and Madinah are located in the Arabian Peninsula, most particularly the Hijaz. Muslims have immense respect and regard for these two holy places. This is natural and this is how it should be but it is a grave error to transfer the sanctity, love and respect Muslims have for the two holy cities to the ruling family in the Arabian Peninsula. This family of thieves is busy destroying the historical sites of Islam in the name of “development” and “progress.” Instead of preserving Islamic heritage sites, the House of Saud has deliberately wiped them out and replaced them with steel and concrete monstrosities designed by Westerners who have no regard or respect for Islam or the sanctity of its historic sites.

The House of Saud’s role as agents of Zionism and imperialism has now been fully exposed with events in Syria. What is underway in Syria is an attempt by external forces — the US, Israel, the House of Saud as well the Gulf sheikhdoms — to destroy the weakest link in the resistance front against Zionist Israel. Despite purchasing billions of dollars in weapons — $60 billion from the US and $10 billion from Germany in the last few months — the House of Saud has never fired a single shot in defence of Islam or Muslims. Instead, all these weapons have been used against Muslims to advance the agenda of imperialism and Zionism.

The House of Saud and their court ‘ulama oppress women — they are not allowed to drive cars, for instance, nor leave the house without being accompanied by a male guardian — mistreat domestic servants to the point of torture, and extract basically slave labor from desperate foreign workers, who in some cases are not paid for months. There are at least 30,000 political prisoners in the kingdom. People have no say in how their affairs are conducted or how decisions are made.

The question Muslims must ask is: how should we confront the Saudi fitnah? First, it is vital to be properly informed of its true nature and role. Muslims must not extend their respect for the Haramayn (the two holy cities of Makkah and Madinah) to the House of Saud. It deserves no respect from human beings, let alone Muslims. Muslims must make every effort to highlight the destruction of Islamic historic sites underway in Makkah and Madinah and mobilize global opinion against such vandalism. Such destruction must be stopped. Saudi court ‘ulama have made no secret of their plans to destroy the green dome over the Prophet’s (pbuh) rawdah (grave) in al-Masjid al-Nabawi and move the grave elsewhere (nastaghfirullah). Even the Sahabah (close Companions of the Prophet (pbuh)) did not dare think of such acts yet the barbaric savages from Najd are openly taking about it!

Muslims must boycott preachers trained in Saudi madrasahs and not give them any position in their masjids or Islamic schools. Even if the Saudis come with offers of money, these should be rejected outright. Such poisoned gifts will bear poisonous fruit. Similarly, Muslims must refuse to welcome into their masjids Saudi preachers from Makkah and Madinah donning an aura of spirituality when in fact these people are active promoters of the hate-filled ideology of the House of Saud. It is time to take drastic steps against these hate-mongers and not provide them an opportunity to distort the message of Islam or peace and security of the Ummah by creating sectarian divisions.

Arabian monarchs and the crisis in Syria

A year after two long-entrenched dictators were consigned to the dustbin of history, the shell-shocked monarchies of the Muslim East appear to have regained their composure somewhat. Initially, they appeared to be teetering on the brink but today they are striking back both at home and abroad. Mass arrests of protesters coupled with huge bribes have provided them some breathing room. But even this would not have saved their thrones were they not supported by their western masters in Washington, London and Paris. The tribal monarchies are presenting themselves as champions of democracy and supporters of people’s rights, provided these apply to regimes they do not like. They appear to be having some success in places like Libya and Syria where the uprisings have had open support from such primitive family-based regimes as those in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

At home, these regimes have clamped down hard on protesters and dispatched troops to places like Bahrain to crush the people’s legitimate demands expressed through entirely peaceful means. The Saudi regime holds more than 30,000 political prisoners and this number is rising but one would be hard pressed to read about this in the New York Times or hear about it on al-Jazeera, for instance. The tribal-owned network has been a handy tool in the hands of the dinosaurs that rule the kingdoms and sheikhdoms. Like CNN and Fox News, it has gained notoriety for spreading disinformation.


To understand what has transpired and what can be expected in the future, it is important to categorize countries based on their current situation. Tunisia, Egypt and Morocco form the first tier of countries where some changes have occurred following elections. The second group comprises countries like Libya and Yemen where rulers have either been killed (Colonel Muammar Qaddafi of Libya) or forced out of office (Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen). In the third category lies Syria where a foreign-backed uprising is underway and has become an open battleground for influence in the Muslim East. What happens in Syria will shape the destiny of the entire region. Ironically, while change in Syria is desirable, its consequences for the larger struggle in the Muslim East will be disastrous. The last category is that of the primitive monarchies in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Jordan and Kuwait. To varying degrees, they are all fighting for survival by waging battles on someone else’s territory.


It would be tempting but wrong to conclude that just because elections have been held in Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco that the people’s problems have been solved. The old systems remain entrenched together with their institutional support mechanisms. A few new faces from groups that were traditionally hounded and suppressed have been co-opted into the system but little else has changed. The danger for Islamic parties, whether in Tunisia, Egypt or Morocco is that while they will have to solve the problems bequeathed by the old regimes, they are not free to formulate their own policies. With their hands tied behind their backs, they will be blamed for all the failures. This is what happens to political parties, even those with an Islamic tag, that opt to work within the old corrupt system. It is impossible not to get contaminated by stepping into filth. Some people in Egypt appear to understand this and the youth have still not given up. How far and long they will continue to challenge the old order is difficult to predict.


It is, however, the struggle in Syria and the role played by such tribal monarchies as Qatar and Saudi Arabia that are crucial to understanding the future of the Muslim East. The struggle in Syria is not merely for people’s rights. The more crucial aspect is the assault on the resistance front comprising Hizbullah, Syria, Hamas and Islamic Iran against Zionist Israel. The US is and has always been fully committed to the Zionist entity even at the expense of its own people. It is the dinosaurs of the desert that have now come out of their caves to support Israel openly. The Arabian regimes have always functioned as the first line of defence for Israel even if they tried to hide their subservience behind loud rhetoric. If was the repeated humiliations of these regimes and their spectacular failures to redress Palestinian grievances that gave rise to such movements as Islamic Jihad, Hamas and Hizbullah.


Subservience comes naturally to the Arabian rulers and treachery runs in their blood. They have never had any legitimacy even if defined in the narrow sense of people’s approval of their rule. On the broader canvas, kingship is forbidden in Islam and legitimacy is obtained only when rulers apply divinely ordained laws. On all counts, these rulers are illegitimate and must not be allowed to remain in power. Only the support of Western imperialists keeps them in power. This merely confirms their illegitimacy as far as the people are concerned.


They use such weapons as ethnic, tribal and sectarian divisions to cling to power. The sectarian card is the most potent weapon but they also play the others. Migrant workers from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Indonesia, for instance, are treated like slaves by the tribal-based monarchies. Physical and sexual abuse of workers who have no rights is rampant. Sectarianism is always invoked when these illegitimate rulers feel threatened. It is being used in Syria with devastating effect. What is tragic and shocking is that some members of the Islamic movement and ‘ulama’ have also fallen for this. True, the ‘ulama’ have been co-opted through bribes but it is a telling reflection of the sad state of affairs that a Syrian ‘alim, Sheikh ‘Adnan al-‘Arour (residing in Saudi Arabia) would appeal to the Israelis to save the people of Syria without the Saudi regime, that has no diplomatic relations with the Zionist entity, arresting him. If some ‘alim in Saudi Arabia were to call upon Islamic Iran to help the people, it is safe to assume he would be immediately arrested. For the Saudi regime, Islamic Iran is an enemy but Zionist Israel is a friend!


If the people of Syria do not wake up to this reality, they might end up in worse shape than what they currently face. They must ask themselves: do they want to live in subservience to the US and Zionist Israel or even worse divide Syria along sectarian or ethnic lines? A century ago, the British came promising “liberation” of the Arabians from “Ottoman imperialism.” The result was breakup of the Muslim East into unstable nation-states. Do they want to repeat the same mistake all over again?

Thirty-three years of valiant resistance and perseverance of the Islamic Republic

Thirty-three years ago this month the world was witness to the fall of a Shah and the rise of an Imam. The Shah was Persian by culture, American by loyalty. The Imam was Persian by culture, Islamic by persuasion. The Muslims of the world along with the imperialist victims of the world rejoiced at this turn of events. Ever since that time Uncle Sam and his nephew Cohen have been playing their cards against the Imam and the Revolution. How valiant and patient the sons and daughters of that revolution have been throughout all these years! Had all the forms of warfare and conspiracies and out-and-out lies been leveled against another revolution, it would have been on its knees by now.

Today, the Islamic Revolution in Iran is standing tall. It has developed its skills, advanced its technology, and extended its infrastructure to a degree that has finally brought the imperialist-Zionist club of nations out into the open in their war preparations, which are being set in motion as this article goes to press. The spreadsheets in the US and Europe inform us that there are 15,000 US combat ready troops in a slaphappy Kuwait: at least two army infantry brigades and a helicopter unit. The Pentagon has two aircraft carriers prowling regional waters: the USS Carl Vinson and the USS John Stennis. There are reports of a third aircraft carrier, the USS Abraham Lincoln steaming toward the Persian Gulf, as of this writing. These and their strike groups are sharking their routes between their home base and the Persian Gulf.

The hot line between Washington and Tel Aviv is sizzling with blood-and-guts coordination plans. The word is out that the twin cities of Washington and Tel Aviv are gunning for Iran. Not to be left out of this imperialist-Islamic buildup of tension and threats the Qatari collaborator Sheikh Hamad Aal Thani (the Qatari Foreign Minister) and the Saudi sycophant Sa‘ud al-Faisal (the Saudi Foreign Minister) were in Washington last month listening to President Barack Obama and probably signing on to any future outbreak of hostilities. Their conversations remain a tightly guarded secret. Thanks to you, Islamic Iran, for showing the rest of the world who these toady officials in Arabia are and to whom they owe their allegiance.

Then we had, during this past month, the British Prime Minister David Cameron flying into Arabia to sell handsome amounts of weapons to the scared-to-death Saudi rulers. He held talks with King ‘Abdullah and his Crown Prince Nayef. This war scenario which comes to us from Washington and Tel Aviv is exactly what the military-industrial-banking complex needs. You, the sons and daughters of the Revolution, with your dedication and tireless efforts have built your own state. You are showing the rest of us the way. It is your devotion to Islam as it was meant to be that is causing cracks in the Yahudi-Yankee edifice. Not all is rosy and peachy between the Israeli Knesset and the US Congress. The US budget has been bleeding for the better part of the past 33 years of the Islamic Revolution. The US Congress realizes that the America now owes more than it makes in a given year. And the hatchet men are out to chop off financial appropriations that are non-essential: there are plans for sequestration. This means that dollar-addicted Israel will have to be put on notice that it cannot expect to receive the generous amounts of cash infusions that it is addicted to. And this is resulting in a flare-up of behind-the-scenes tension between an America that no longer can supply and an Israel that needs more and more.

Little does the public eye notice that Israel is leading the charge, and the US is being pricked into combat position, a situation it is not ready for after its battles in Afghanistan and Iraq. The relationship between Yahudi-firsters in Washington and the Bible supremacists in Tel Aviv must be on thin ice when we hear that both sides called off “Austere Challenge 12” which was supposed to have been the largest war exercise ever between the US and Israel. Thank you, the persevering sons and daughters of the Islamic Revolution, for having shown us (those of us whose eyes are open) how flimsy and vulnerable the relationship is between the chicken hawks in Washington and their roosters in Tel Aviv.
People without prejudice — Muslims and non-Muslims — have watched your revolution grow from infancy into manhood. These people saw how the imperialists and Zionists targeted, via their agents, the scholars of Islam Ayatullah Murtaza Mutahhari, Ayatullah Seyyed Muhammad Hussein Beheshti, Ayatullah Ashraf Isfahani, Ayatullah Dastagheib, and many other great scholars of Islam were assassinated by “Persian” fifth-columnists. Yet the Revolution survived. Next, Iran’s soldiers became the target of the same enemies. And after eight long and bloody years and after hundreds of thousands of martyrs the Islamic Revolution survived. Now, the same enemies are targeting the scientists. You, the sons and daughters in your principled defense of the Islamic Revolution, exposed the cowards and showed us how they fight. When they lose at the battlefield they turn to assassinations and random killings.

The historical Islamic Revolution demonstrated to us the lengths to which the Zionists and imperialists will go to “frame” and “entrap” Muslims to justify a worldwide war that they say may continue for over a hundred years (a Freudian slip of the tongue that the Islamic Revolution may be around for a hundred years or more). You, the class of shuhada’, enlightened us as to the depth of hate and the visceral hatred that lurks in the bosoms of Euro-American-Israeli officials who cannot tolerate an independent Islamic state acquiring peaceful nuclear technology, when they themselves say that it is the right of all states.
You, the leaders of the Islamic State under the guidance of Imams Khomeini and Khamane’i, have stimulated our thoughts as to the real nature of our enemies and the enemies of oppressed people in the world. You educated us in these 33 years about enemies who hide behind a gloss of civilization but in their hearts they are anything but civilized. These enemies, as we all celebrate these bittersweet 33 years of revolution, may very well be planning a mass casualty attack of some sort against innocent people that will be blamed on Muslims.

They may even be thinking about some type of cyber-attack that may paralyze some society’s infrastructure in a way that is equivalent to a natural catastrophe or national emergency. They may be planning some type of disruption in the energy sector of the producers and consumers of petroleum. Their own man-made economies are teetering on the brink in Europe and in America. They are very adept at triggering a trans-Atlantic crisis that the world itself will suffer from.

You the leaders, the martyrs, the scholars, the soldiers, the scientists, and the devotees of Islam, have changed the geopolitical landscape of the world; whether you know it or not. You snatched the masks off the faces of political hypocrites and removed the gloves off the hands of financial thieves exposing their finger prints on crimes. And at the end of this line we and all the world can see how civilized these shayateen are: they urinate on dead Muslim bodies, they desecrate the Qur’an, they ridicule the Prophet (pbuh), they sexually assault the innocent, they commit every crime in the Book and none of our rulers from the filthy rich of Arabia to the dirt poor of Africa are able to speak truth to power the way you have done in Islamic Iran.

In all these years, an unspoken question lies deep down inside every astute Muslim, and that question is: will the imperialist US or Zionist Israel attack Islamic Iran? You have been answering that question for 33 years. And your answer in Allah’s (swt) words is:


They [the committed Muslims] were told: ‘But everyone is against you, be heedful of the danger’. And this [scenario] boosted their faith and commitment; and they [the committed Muslims] answered back: Suffice it that Allah is on our side, and He is the best confidant (3:173).

Are majority Muslim countries truly independent?

Given that there are 56 “Muslim” nation-states, all members of the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Conference, the question may raise some eyebrows. Each country also has defined borders, a government headed by a king, amir, president, prime minister or even a general. Further, there is a cabinet, a standing army, national airline (or two), a national flag, and even an anthem for each country. Do these not represent independence?


We must define the term “independence” accurately to fully grasp the Muslim world’s current situation. Possessing territory, having a government, army, etc, do not necessarily mean independence. The term independence must be viewed more broadly. Neo-Marxist writers — Hans Singer, Raúl Prebisch, Paul A. Baran, Paul Sweezy, Andre Gunder Frank, Theotonio Dos Santos et al — have written extensively about dependency theory demonstrating how difficult it is for a society to break out of this cycle. We need not go into the details of dependency theory but suffice it to say that the natural resources and cheap labour of dependent societies are exploited to enrich wealthy societies (in reality, these enrich the top 1% of society as the Occupy Wall Street Movement has so clearly shown!). The elite in rich societies actively perpetuate a cycle of dependency through economic, political, social, cultural, banking, and financial policies. Societies that attempt to break out of the dependency cycle are coerced back into the fold through sanctions and/or the use of military force. The price exacted for trying to break loose is exceedingly high.


Even societies that go through a revolution — Cuba, Vietnam, Nicaragua, etc — show how difficult it is to throw off the yoke of dependency. Most countries in Africa gained “independence” from colonialism in the 1960s but they are still dependent on the colonial masters for survival. Africa is gripped by mass starvation even though it is a resource-rich continent, due largely to the manufactured nation-state conflicts managed by Western powers (read that: starvation policies) coupled with their structural adjustment programs (read that, slavery to debt), which regard material resources in the ground to be more valuable than human resources on the ground. African countries have been trapped into a spider web-type relationship from which they cannot escape. Institutions like the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund are used to reinforce dependency on the colonial powers. Colonel Muammar Qaddafi of Libya paid the price with his life for attempting to break the Western stranglehold on Africa by proposing to establish an African Monetary Fund as well as an African Central Bank. More resources and capital have been sucked out of Africa into the West after “independence” than during direct colonialism.



Let us, however, return to our discussion of majority Muslim countries. Are they free to formulate their own economic, political, military, cultural or social policies? Even societies that are not financially dependent on the West suffer from the dependency syndrome. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates offer good examples. These are artificial constructs that were created by Britain to serve its interests. While financially secure, they are still subservient to the West when formulating political, social, cultural, military or educational policies. Even in the economic field, these countries cannot formulate policies to benefit their own people. Saudi Arabia pumps excessive amounts of oil far beyond its needs because it must serve US and Western interests. This keeps the price of oil low depriving producers of much-needed income while transferring wealth to the West. For every dollar drop in the price of oil, producers lose $1 billion per day. On the political front, few majority Muslim countries can stand up to Zionist Israel. Instead they are aligned with US/Zionist aggressors against the Palestinian people.


Flags and national anthems aside, what is the solution to the problem facing Muslim societies? Any attempt to answer this question merely through economic analysis will not yield the correct answer. Muslim societies are unable to formulate their own policies to serve the interests of their people precisely because they are not independent. For true independence, they must first undergo an Islamic revolution to overthrow the colonial imposed order. Iran has shown how this is done. For more than 30 years, Western “experts” and “pundits” have been predicting the collapse of the Islamic system. What they fail to understand is that an Islamic revolution changes the very nature of society and renders it impervious to sanctions and boycotts. As the Noble Qur’an states so eloquently: “Allah does not alter the condition of a people until they change their attitude” (13:11).


It is through this consummate change — a clean break from the exploitative milieu created by fear of temporal power to an Islamic system that fosters confidence by reliance only on the Sustainer of the worlds — that Muslims will gain true independence. Until then, Muslims will only delude themselves into believing they are independent.
