Iran’s Role in Promoting Qur’anic Culture Is Commendable

Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament

The Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament emphasized the key and central role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in safeguarding and promoting authentic Qur’anic culture across the region.

According to Taghrib News Agency(TNA), Seyyed Mohammad Reza Mortazavi, the Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon, met with Nabih Berri, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament.
Mortazavi thanked Berri for his support of Iran’s cultural mission in organizing the international Qur’an competition “Al‑Sadiq Al‑Amin” and presented a report on the progress of the event.
Nabih Berri praised Iran’s role in promoting Qur’anic culture and stressed the importance of continuing this central mission.
He stated that Iran’s achievements in spreading Islamic teachings and Qur’an‑based education serve as an inspiring model for Muslim societies.
Berri also recalled renowned Qur’an reciters such as Abdul Basit Abdus Samad and Mustafa Ismail, noting that even after their passing, their audio and video recitations continue to be broadcast as an everlasting legacy on Qur’an channels and television.
The Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament called for organizing Qur’an memorization and recitation courses by Iranian instructors, in cooperation with the Risalat Scouts and Sheikh Hassan Abdullah, the Mufti of Tyre and Jabal Amel. He also requested that the Amal Movement host Qur’anic nights during the blessed month of Ramadan.
He further highlighted the second edition of the competition, which included more than 500 participants in the preliminary online stage and judges from 51 Arab and non‑Arab countries.
