: Political Writer and Researcher to TNA
A political writer and analyst emphasized the failure of U.S.–Israeli schemes against Iran, stating that the Islamic Republic has stood firmly against American hegemony and coercion, rejecting all imposed dictates and threats.

Hussein Al‑Dirani, a political writer and analyst, said in an interview with Taghrib News Agency(TNA) that the region is experiencing peak military, security, and political tension due to what he described as U.S. arrogance and threats against regional states—particularly the Islamic Republic of Iran, which opposes such domination and resists American and Israeli pressure.
“Iran Will Not Submit to U.S. Conditions”
Al‑Dirani noted that despite decades of pressure and sanctions since the 1979 Islamic Revolution—and despite ongoing threats and intense media campaigns by Western outlets—Washington and Tel Aviv have failed to destabilize Iran from within. He said Iran has successfully neutralized plots that, according to U.S. and Israeli admissions, were led by the CIA and Mossad.
Regarding indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States, mediated by Oman, he said he believes the talks will ultimately reach a dead end. According to him, Iran will never accept U.S. conditions, which he described as essentially Israeli demands, while Washington will not settle for anything less than what he said is dictated by Israeli leadership.
He argued that developments may move toward a decisive military confrontation—one the United States fears but for which Iran is fully prepared.
“Iran Is Not Venezuela”
Commenting on the lack of strong international reaction to what he described as U.S. actions in Venezuela, Al‑Dirani said the absence of a firm global response was disappointing. However, he stressed that replicating such an approach against Iran is impossible, as any limited or large‑scale aggression would ignite a regional war, and Iran’s response would be fundamentally different from previous confrontations.
Trump, Netanyahu, and Escalation
Al‑Dirani noted that escalations by U.S. President Donald Trump often coincide with visits by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who he said uses sensitive files—including the Epstein case—as leverage. He argued that Netanyahu seeks to pressure Trump into taking aggressive positions toward Iran.
Designation of the IRGC as a Terrorist Organization
Regarding Europe’s recent decision to label Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, Al‑Dirani said the move is purely political and carries no real legal, political, or security consequences. He argued that the decision is aligned with U.S. policy and intended to satisfy pro‑Israel lobbying groups.
He added that the decision will not affect regional or global security, noting that the IRGC is a military force responsible for defending Iran’s territory and supporting resistance movements against Israel.
