Imam Khomeini’s Resistance Doctrine

Today, 40 years have passed since the Islamic revolution conquest in Iran and also 30 years have passed since the passing of the late Imam Khomeini who was the founder of the Islamic revolution. The Islamic revolution terms did not meet borders and boundaries and soon the ideology went beyond the boundaries of Iran. Based on this anti-Iran plans and conspiracies were raised to maximum to avoid Iran’s influence in the region.

Imam Khomeini’s doctrine was based on resistance movement and it was not limited to domestic issues, but his regards towards al-Quds is what Imam Khomeini was best known for in global-regional resistance doctrine. Imam Khomeini regarded Al-Quds issue as his main doctrine even before the Islamic revolution takes place in Iran.

It was believed that the al-Quds is the major thing in common to unite all Muslims against a conspiracy which was trying to change the Islamic thought behind al-Quds into an Arabian issue and limit it to Arabian political matters. All the struggles to free al-Quds from occupation was limited to Arabian racism which failed with misery and frustration. A six day war not only failed to free al-Quds but also gave Israel more confidence to continue to occupy more lands and this is the time when Compromise was redefined by western definitions and later called Peace.

The peace plan compromised many battalion groups, one of the foremost was the PLA movements which ended up fighting and took steps to sign treaties of peace.

The output of this act was not anything more than that the group had to discuss peace plans with the enemy in order to avoid them from constructing settlements in Palestinian territories which was against the agreements.

The result of 6 decades of so called peace discussions was more pressures and misery of Palestinian people. Other Palestinian groups never had a common Islamic principle and had to watch the peace policy discuss and fail, international communities were also silent.

Other groups in the region such as the Muslim Brotherhood were not successful as well, because they were not following an Islamic principle to unite all Muslims and they were just an addition to collection of Arabian failures in struggle against Israeli occupation.

Other secular Islamic nations were also added to this collection of failure against Israel, they took Taliban and ISIS as the foremost Islamic Jihad and came to a conclusion that armed struggle is not going to free the occupied Palestine. A new Islamic sect was born out of this which was later named as American Islam.

From the other side after the Islamic revolution conquest in Iran, the armed physical struggle against Israel not only was a successful to retaliate the enemy but the resistance is a growing movement that it is getting even stronger on daily basis.

Resistance as the doctrine by Imam Khomeini was successful, based on many factors such as: a fine perspective from regions role players, perfect Islamic perspectives, well informed about the enemy, activating Islamic world’s potentials and as well as staying away from compromise thoughts.

The result was that the stones in the hands of Palestinians were modified to rockets and missiles, it reshaped the Israeli deterrence power to Palestinian deterrence power and even brought a resistance hegemony to the region and its people.

Today resistance is in its foremost strength that is not only able to deter attacks from the enemy, but the resistance now is able to make collateral damage, resistance also made the Zionist side to be well aware of consequences of a the smallest step they want to implement to remove the Palestinian identity of the lands, a deterrence power that in most cases refuses the enemy from taking the action.

War-Stricken Yemenis Reaffirm Support for Liberation of Palestine

The aggressed people of Yemen astounded the whole world last Friday by holding massive rallies in support of the right of the oppressed people of Palestine to return to their usurped homeland, and in the process gave another firm display of their resolve to archenemy Saudi Arabia and its backers in the US and the West that the national government in Sana’a which is based on the popular will of the Muslim masses cannot be beaten into submission through over four years of war, bombing, and use of the most sophisticated weapons, as well as threats of famine.

The hundreds of thousands of the mostly fasting people that presented the spectacle of a roaring sea in the streets of Sana’a on the Farewell Friday of the blessed month of Ramadhan, marked as World Qods Day, denounced Donald Trump’s so-called ‘Deal’ of the Century – actually the Conspiracy of the Century – saying the Ummah will eventually liberate from Zionist occupation not just Islam’s first qibla Bayt al-Moqaddas, but the whole of Palestine.

Similar rallies were staged in the besieged port of Hodeidah where tens of thousands gathered after the Friday Prayer amidst the shelling by the Saudi-UAE coalition of the cowards.

Other towns and cities of war-stricken Yemen, such as Ibb, Taez, Sa’dah, etc, witnessed huge organized gatherings with a bonfire of the US and Israel flags, and the effigies of Trump and Netanyahu, in addition to the caricatures of the senile Saudi king, Salman, and his megalomaniac son, MBS (Mohamed bin Salman).

Whether Shi’as or Sunnis, whether the subdivisions of Zaydis or Shafe’is, whether members of the popular Ansarallah Movement or the tribes with differing political outlooks, the Yemenis were a picture of national unity and Islamic solidarity.

They also unanimously denounced the seditious summits the Saudis were holding in Mecca to violate the sanctity of that sacred city and the blessed month of Ramadhan, as well as to distract attention from the World Qods Day rallies, since neither Salman nor any of those Arab and supposedly Muslim rulers that attended the three anti-Iran and pro-US emergency meetings of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC), the Arab League, and the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), can muster any popular support for themselves on the streets, where public gatherings send shivers down their spines and are brutally suppressed. 

May God exalt the soul of the Father of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA), who in 1979 had designated the Last Friday of fasting Ramadhan (Jum’at-al-Weda) as World Qods Day to mobilize world Muslims and all conscientious people to the chronic question of Palestine which Global Arrogance and its clients in the West Asia-North Africa region were trying to bury alive.

A similar plot is underway against the aspirations of the Palestinian people, but if Egypt’s Anwar Sadaat was then the lone open pal of the Zionist regime (Israel, however, had covert friends in Hussein of Jordan and Hassan of Morocco), today several Arab heads of state are publicly dancing with the devils of Tel Aviv to the beat of war drums against Islamic Iran because of Tehran’s unflinching support for groups continuing the struggle for the liberation of Bayt al-Moqaddas. 

The Conspiracy of the Century, drafted by Trump’s Jewish son-in-law Jared Kushner in close consultation with the notorious MBS, is thus doomed to fail, no matter what desperate steps the conspirators take, but end up making a mockery of themselves, in view of the multitudinous rallies held in over 950 towns and cities of the world Last Friday with Iran and its scores of millions of Muslims leading the way for the cherished goal of the liberation of Palestine.

This was the message of Imam Khomeini (RA) – the person who called for weeding out of the cancerous tumour called Israel – whose 30th passing away anniversary Iranians are all set to commemorate on Tuesday June 4.

This was the message of his historic 15th of Khordad Uprising, whose 56th anniversary Iran would be marking on Wednesday, probably the Day of Eid al-Fitr, when the sermons of the prayer leaders in Tehran and all over the world, focus on the plight of the Palestinians and their right to return home to form the state of their own, stretching from the borders of Lebanon in the north to Egypt’s Sinai in the south, and from the banks of the River Jordan in the east to the shores of the Mediterranean Sea in the west. 

Quds Day Rallies More Important Than Ever

TEHRAN – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday Qud Day rallies this year are more important than ever in order to defend the Palestinians against U.S. President Donald Trump’s much-touted "deal of the century”.
"Some sycophants of America are trying to popularize the deal of the century, but both America and its sycophants will fail in this case,” the Leader told a group of university professors and researchers.
Ayatollah Khamenei said defending the Palestinian people is a must both from a humanitarian perspective and a religious and Islamic perspective.
The International Quds Day is an annual event during which demonstrators take to the streets to express their solidarity with the Palestinian people and opposition to the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories.
The day is seen as the legacy of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, who officially declared the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as International Quds Day back in 1979.
Senior White House adviser Jared Kushner is leading a U.S. delegation to the Middle East this week seeking support for a late June workshop aimed at selling the American plan.
Kushner, Middle East envoy Jason Greenblatt, U.S. Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook, and Kushner aide Avi Berkowitz began their trip in Rabat and were to travel to Amman and Jerusalem Al-Quds, arriving in Israel on Thursday.
The trip is similar to one that Kushner and Greenblatt took in February to Persian Gulf states to drum up support for the Middle East plan they have been developing on behalf of Trump.
A White House official said one reason for this week’s trip is to bolster support for a June 25-26 conference in Manama, Bahrain, in which Kushner is to unveil the first part of Trump’s long-awaited plan.
Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have said they will participate, and a senior U.S. official said officials from Qatar have said privately their country was expected to attend as well.
The Russian foreign ministry took a dim view of the conference in a statement on Tuesday, saying the United States was attempting to "impose an ‘alternative vision’ of the Palestinian-Israeli settlement.”
Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat said Wednesday, "We urge all Arabs who have accepted to go to Bahrain to reconsider out of respect for the Palestinians.”
 "We didn’t mandate anyone to negotiate on our behalf, and if anyone wants to trade the interests of the Palestinians for their own benefit, let them do it out of their own pockets,” he told Reuters.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei rejected Western calls for negotiations with Iran.
"We do not negotiate on honor issues of the revolution; we do not negotiate on the military capability. Negotiation here means bargain which wants us to concede our defensive capability,” the Leader said.
"We have already said we do not want negotiation because it is not only useless but also harmful,” he added.  

சர்வதேச குத்ஸ் தினம்

புனித ரமழான் மாதத்தின் கடைசி வெள்ளிக்கிழமை வருடாந்தம் குத்ஸ் தினம் அல்லது சர்வதேச குத்ஸ் தினம் என அழைக்கப் படுகின்றது. இதன்படி இவ்வாண்டு இந்தத் தினம் ஓகஸ்ட் மாதம் 26 ஆம் திகதி அனுஷ்டிக்கப்படுகின்றது.

இஸ்ரேலிய சியோனிஸ வாதிகளின் இரும்புப் பிடியில் சிக்கித் தவிக்கும் பலஸ்தீன மக்களின் விடுதலைக்காக அவர்களுடனான உலக முஸ்லிம்களின் ஒருமைப்பாட்டை வெளிப்படுத்துவதற்காகவே இன்றைய தினம் அனுஷ்டிக்கப்படுகின்றது.

இந்த எண்ணக்கருவை உலகுக்கு முதல் முதலில் அறிமுகம் செய்தவர் ஈரான் இஸ்லாமியப் புரட்சியின் தலைவர் மறைந்த இமாம் கொமெய்னி ஆவார். இஸ்லாமியப் புரட்சியின் தொடராக 1979 ஆகஸ்டில் அவர் இந்தப் பிரகடனத்தைச் செய்தார். அன்று முதல் ஈரான் இஸ்லாமியக் குடியரசில் இது அரச ஆதரவுடன் கூடிய மாபெரும் மக்கள் பேரணிகளுடன் கூடிய ஒரு வருடாந்த நிகழ்வாக அனுஷ்டிக்கப்பட்டு வருகின்றது.

காலப்போக்கில் முழு முஸ்லிம் உலகமும் இந்த எண்ணக்கருவை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டன. இன்று முழு முஸ்லிம் மற்றும் அரபு உலகிலும் இன்றைய தினம் சர்வதேச குத்ஸ் தினமாக அனுஷ்டிக்கப்பட்டு வருகின்றது.

முஸ்லிம்களின் முதலாவது கிப்லாவான மஸ்ஜிதுல் அக்ஸா அமைந்துள்ள ஜெரூஸலம் இன்று இஸ்ரேலிய ஆதிக்க வெறியர்களின் கரங்களில் சிக்குண்டுள்ளது. இதை விடுவிப்பதற்காக உலக முஸ்லிம்கள் அனைவரும் தமது சகோதரத்துவத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தும் வகையில் இன்றைய தினங்களில் ஆர்ப்பாட்டங்களையும், பேரணிகளையும் நடத்தி இஸ்ரேலுக்கு எதிரான தமது குரலை வெளிப்படுத்தி வருகின்றனர்.

இன்றைய தினத்தின் பிரதான குறிக்கோள் பலஸ்தீன மக்களுக்கு ஆதரவாக குரல்கொடுப்பதும், அவர்களுடனான சகோதரத்துவத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துவதுமாகும். ஜெரூஸலத்தை விடுவிப்பதற்காகப் பாடுபட வேண்டியது உலக முஸ்லிம்கள் அனைவரினதும் கடமையாகும் என்று சர்வதேச குத்ஸ் தின பிரகடனத்தில் இமாம் கொமெய்னி அவர்கள் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்கள்.

பலஸ்தீன மக்களின் சட்டபூர்வமான உரிமைகளை நிலைநாட்ட உலக முஸ்லிம்கள் அனைவரும் ஓரணியில் திரள வேண்டும் என அவர் அன்றே அழைப்பு விடுத்தார். 1979 இல் விடுக்கப்பட்ட இந்த அழைப்பு இன்று உலக முஸ்லிம்களின் செவிகளை மொத்தமாகச் சென்றடைந்துள்ளது. இன்று உலக முஸ்லிம் நாடுகளில் ஏற்பட்டுள்ள மக்கள் விழிப்புணர்வு கூட இந்த அழைப்பின் தாக்கத்தால் விளைந்தது என்று கூறினால் அது மிகையாகாது.

பல ஆண்டுகளாக அப்பாவி பலஸ்தீன மக்கள் இஸ்ரேலின் அச்சுறுத்தல்களுக்கும், ஆபத்துக்களுக்கும் முகம் கொடுத்தவர்களாகக் காணப்படுகின்றனர். தென் லெபனான், காஸா ஆகிய பகுதிகளில் உள்ள அப்பாவி மக்கள் அன்றாடம் சொல்லொணா துன்புறுத்தல்களுக்கும் முகம் கொடுத்தவர்களாகவே வாழ்ந்து வருகின்றனர்.

பால், வயது வித்தியாசங்கள் எதுவுமின்றி இந்தக் கொடுமைகள் இன்றும் தொடருகின்றன. இன்று இஸ்ரேலியப் படைகள் பொழுது போக்காக குண்டு வீசி விளையாடும் மைதானமாக பலஸ்தீன் பிரதேசங்கள் மாறிவிட்டன.

இஸ்ரேலின் போஷகரான அமெரிக்காவில் தயாரிக்கப்படும் நாசகார ஆயுதங்களின் பரீட்சார்த்த பூமியாகவும் பலஸ்தீனம் மாறிவிட்டது. எனவே இந்தக் கொடிய சக்திகளின் கரங்களைத் துண்டிப்பதற்காக, உலக முஸ்லிம் அரசுகள் ஓரணியில் திரள வேண்டிய காலம் வந்துவிட்டது.

சர்வதேச குத்ஸ் தினமாக புனித ரமழான் மாதத்தின் கடைசி வெள்ளிக்கிழமையை தெரிவு செய்ய இதுவும் ஒரு காரணமாகும். ரமழான் திட சங்கற்பத்திற்கான ஒரு மாதம், பலஸ்தீன மக்களின் தலைவிதி குறித்து உலக முஸ்லிம் சமூகம் திடசங்கற்பம் பூணவேண்டிய ஒரு காலம் இதுவாகும்.

உலகம் முழுவதும் பலஸ்தீன மக்களுடனான ஒருமைப்பாட்டை வெளிப்படுத்தி கூட்டங்களையும், ஆர்ப்பாட்டங்களையும் நடத்துவதன் மூலம் அந்த மக்களுக்கான தார்மீக உரிமைகளுக்கான ஆதரவை உலக முஸ்லிம்கள் வெளிப்படுத்த முடியும். மேலும் அடக்குமுறையாளர்களுக்கு எதிரான அப்பாவி பலஸ்தீனர்களின் போராட்டம் வெற்றி பெற வேண்டும் என எல்லாம் வல்ல இறைவனிடம் பிரார்த்திக்க வேண்டியதும் உலக முஸ்லிம்களின் கடமையாகும்.

இன்று குத்ஸ் தினம் ஒரு சர்வதேச தினமாகும். ஆனால் இது பலஸ்தீன விடுதலைக்கு அல்லது மஸ்ஜிதுல் அக்ஸாவின் விடுதலைக்கு மட்டும் ஆதரவு தெரிவிக்கும் ஒரு தினம் அல்ல. இது அநியாயக்கார ஆக்கிரமிப்பு சக்திகளுக்கு எதிராகப் போராடும் அடக்கி ஒடுக்கப்பட்ட பலவீனப்படுத்தப்பட்ட எல்லா மக்களுக்கும் ஆதரவு தெரிவிக்கும் ஒரு தினமாகும். குறிப்பாக அமெரிக்காவினதும் ஏனைய மேலைத்தேய சக்திகளினதும் நெருக்குதலில் சிக்கித் தவிக்கும் நிர்க்கதியான மக்களுக்கு ஆதரவு தெரிவிக்கும் ஒரு தினமாகும்.

சர்வதேச குத்ஸ் தினம் என்பது ஒடுக்கப்பட்ட தேசங்களில் வாழும் அப்பாவி மக்களின் எதிர்காலத்தைத் தீர்மானிக்கும் ஒரு தினமாகும். அடக்கி ஒடுக்கப்பட்ட நாடுகள் அடக்குமுறையாளர்களுக்கு எதிராகக் குரல் எழுப்பி தமது இருப்பைத் தக்க வைத்துக் கொள்வதற்காக குரல் கொடுக்கும் ஒரு நாளாகும்.

இந்த வகையில் அந்த மக்கள் ஈரான் இஸ்லாமியக் குடியரசை ஒரு உதாரணமாகக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். ஆதிக்க வெறியர்களையும் அடக்கு முறையாளர்களையும் குப்புறத் தள்ளி அவர்களின் முதுகின் மேல் ஏறி நின்று வெற்றிக் கொடி நாட்டிய ஒரு தேசம் ஈரானாகும். தொடர்ந்தும் ஈரான் இந்த வெற்றியைத் தனதாக்கி வருகின்றமை இன்றும் கண்கூடாகக் காணக்கூடிய ஒன்றாகும். ஈரானைப் போல் எல்லா முஸ்லிம் நாடுகளும் ஒன்றிணைந்து உலகை ஆட்டிப் படைக்கும் இந்த விஷ ஜந்துக்களை அழித்தொழிக்க சபதம் செய்ய வேண்டிய நாள் இன்றாகும்.

அடக்கி ஆளப்படும் அப்பாவி மக்களை அவர்கள் பாட்டில் தமது சொந்த நாடுகளில் நிம்மதியாக வாழ விட்டுவிட்டு இந்த ஆதிக்கச் சக்திகள் தமது சொந்த நாடுகளை நோக்கி மூட்டை கட்ட வேண்டிய காலம் வந்துவிட்டது என்பதை அவர்களுக்கு உணர்த்துவதற்காக உலக முஸ்லிம்கள் தமது குரல்களை ஓங்கி ஒலிக்கச்செய்ய வேண்டிய தினம் இன்றாகும்.

இஸ்ரேல் என்பது மனித குலத்தின் எதிரி, மனிதப் பண்புகளின் எதிரி. இந்த எதிரி தான் பலஸ்தீனத்திலும், தென் லெபனானிலும் அப்பாவிப் பொது மக்களுக்கு எதிராக அன்றாடம் குழப்பங்களை ஏற்படுத்தி வருகின்றது. அந்த மக்களின் நிம்மதியையும், சமாதானத்தையும் குழப்பி வருகின்றது. இந்த இஸ்ரேலிய விஷமிகளின் எஜமானர்களை இனிமேலும் உலகம் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளத் தயாரில்லை என்பதை இஸ்ரேல் புரிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டிய நேரம் வந்துவிட்டது.

இஸ்ரேலும் அதன் எஜமானர்களும் தோற்கடிக்கப்படும் காலம் வெகு தூரத்தில் இல்லை. இவர்கள் ஆதிக்கம் செலுத்தும் நாடுகளில் இருந்து இவர்களின் கரங்கள் துண்டிக்கப்படும் நாள் நெருங்கிவிட்டது. இஸ்லாமிய நாடுகளில் இருந்து இஸ்ரேல் அதன் எஜமான்கள், மற்றும் ஏஜன்டுகள் விலகிச் செல்ல வேண்டிய காலம் நெருங்கிவிட்டது என்பதை உணர்த்துவதற்கான ஒரு நாளே இன்றைய சர்வதேச குத்ஸ் தினமாகும்.

இத்தகைய உண்மைகளை இஸ்லாத்துக்கும் முஸ்லிம்களுக்கும் எதிரான தீயசக்திகளுக்கு உணரச் செய்யும் ஒரு உன்னதமான நாளே இன்றைய நாளாகும். இந்த அறிவிப்பை உலகம் முழுவதும் விடுப்பதற்காகவே இன்றைய தினம் அனுஷ்டிக்கப்படுகின்றது. இஸ்லாத்துக்கும் முஸ்லிம்களுக்கும் எதிராக தீய சக்திகள் காணும் கனவு வெறும் கனவுதான்.

அது ஒருபோதும் நனவாகப் போவதில்லை என்ற நம்பிக்கையை உலக முஸ்லிம்களின் உள்ளங்களில் விதைக்கச் செய்யும் நாளே இன்றைய நாளாகும். முஸ்லிம் நாடுகள் வெகு விரைவில் தமக்கே உரிய பிரத்தியேகமான சட்ட திட்டங்களுடன், கலாசார பாரம்பரியங்களுடன் தமது விடயங்களை தாமே நிர்வகித்துக் கொள்ளும் காலம் வெகு விரைவில் மலரப் போகின்றது என்ற நம்பிக்கையை அந்த நாட்டு மக்களுக்கு வலுவாக ஊட்டும் நாளே இன்றைய நாளாகும்.

சர்வதேச குத்ஸ் தினம் இஸ்லாத்தின் தினமாகும். அது இஸ்லாமிய மறுமலர்ச்சிக்கான தினமாகும். எனவே இஸ்லாத்தின் மறுமலர்ச்சிக்காகவும், இஸ்லாமிய நாடுகளில் இருந்து ஆதிக்க வல்லரசுகளை விரட்டியடித்து மீண்டும் அங்கு மக்களாட்சி மலர இன்றைய தினத்தில் பிரார்த்திப்போமாக.

இன்றைய தினம் எல்லா வல்லரசுகளுக்குமான ஒரு எச்சரிக்கை தினமாகும். இஸ்லாமிய நாடுகளையோ, அவற்றின் மக்களையோ இனிமேலும் இந்த ஆதிக்க சக்திகளின் அல்லது அவர்களின் கூட்டாளிகளின் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் வைத்திருக்க முடியாது என்ற எச்சரிக்கையை அவர்களுக்கு விடுக்கும் தினமே இன்றைய தினமாகும்.

குத்ஸ் தினம் முஸ்லிம்களின் விழிப்புணர்வுக்கான தினமாகும். முஸ்லிம்கள் தமக்குள்ளே பொதிந்து கிடக்கும் ஆத்மீக மற்றும் லெளகிக பலங்களை உணர்ந்து கொள்வதற்கான ஒரு தினமாகும்.

நூறு கோடிக்கும் அதிகமான ஒருமக்கள் தொகை, அந்த மக்களுக்கே உரித்தான இஸ்லாம் என்ற தனித்துவமான தெய்வீக வழிகாட்டலும், இறை ஆதரவும், கொண்ட ஒரு பலம் பொருந்திய சமுதாயமாக அவர்கள் இருக்கையில் எதற்காக இந்த போலிச் சக்திகளையும் ஆரவாரங்களையும் கண்டு உலக முஸ்லிம்கள் அஞ்ச வேண்டும்? இஸ்லாம் தோற்கடிக்க முடியாத ஒரு சக்தி என்பதை இந்த ஆதிக்க வெறியர்களுக்கு முஸ்லிம்கள் உணர்த்த வேண்டும்.

இஸ்லாமும் அதன் போதனைகளும் உலக முஸ்லிம் நாடுகளில் நீடித்து நிலைக்க வேண்டும். அதற்காக இன்றைய தினத்தைப் பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும்.

The road back to Palestine

This is a unique and historic occasion. By convening this conference, the Islamic Republic of Iran has fulfilled its role as the only Islamic State on the map of the world today. At present the Arab States are being herded into a so called 'peace conference' on Palestine. They will sooner or later, sign the formal surrender of Palestine to its zionist occupiers, but in fact to the United States of America.

Immediately after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Khomeini ordered that the last Friday in Ramadan be observed as Al-Quds Day. It was also a decade ago that the first Al-Quds conference was held in Tehran. In Iran at least there has been no confusion on the central issues of the conflict over Palestine. The same however cannot be said about the situation outside Iran.

The tragedy of the colonial period is not only that Muslim lands and peoples were colonised and that control over the physical assets of the Muslim Ummah passed to western powers; the greater tragedy is the fact that Muslims have also lost their once famous sense of history, sense of direction and clarity of thought and purpose. This is demonstrated by the difficulty even the people of Palestine have in defining their situation. Some regard it as a 'Palestinian Problem', others call it an 'Arab problem', and only a handful think of Palestine as the land of Islam and all Muslims. Even in Iran where this confusion does not exist, there is little understanding of the historical process that will eventually reclaim Palestine.

Palestine, as I understand it, is only an extreme case of a global phenomenon. This phenomenon is the penetration of the west into the House of Islam. Only in Palestine has this penetration taken the form of the replacement of a Muslim population under the flag of zionism. The history of zionist claims on Palestine is well known and does not require repetition or refutation but what is not generally known, or not often remembered and understood by the Muslims, is that the defeat and dismemberment of the Othmaniyyah State and the creation of the modern Arab nation States under client rulers such as the Al-Saud were all steps leading up to the creation of the State of Israel.

Ben Gurion once referred to the Arab States as 'Israel's first line of defence'. The implication is clear: the Arab States are not the enemies of Israel; the true enemy of Israel lies beyond the Arab States. Only this interpretation makes sense of the remark that the Arab States are Israel's first line of defence. Who, then, is the enemy?

Ben Gurion knew, and the western sponsors of Israel knew, that zionism is merely a flag of convenience for western occupation of Palestine. The west regards the occupation of Palestine essential for their long term goal of stopping and aborting any challenge to their world supremacy originating in Islam. Thus their Arab States are an effective barrier against Islam in this area and against Islam beyond the Arab world as well. It is Islam that the west regards as its enemy, not the Palestinians or Arabs or Ba'athists or any other permutation of Arab or Muslim nationalism.

Indeed, some of the nationalist movements are also part of the first line of defence for Israel and the west's penetration of the house of Islam. This is certainly the case with the PLO. Israel, by refusing to deal with the PLO [this was in 1990/91 - Editor], makes everyone, including the Palestinians believe that Palestinian nationalism is a real threat to the Israeli State; while the western powers, including the US and the [erstwhile]Soviet Union, by insisting that Israel must deal with the PLO, achieve the goal of keeping Muslims and world attention diverted from their enmity of Islam.

This western guile also helps to marginalise the 'Palestine problem' as a peripheral issue on the Mediterranean coast of the vast Arab world. In this way the fact that Israel is a dagger in the heartland of Islam is conveniently bypassed and hidden from public view. Non-Arab Muslim opinion has been conditioned to regard Palestine as an Arab problem, and the Arab States also insisting that PLO is the only representative of the Palestinian people, have succeeded in reducing it to a dispute over the sharing of land between the Jews and Palestinians.

It is important therefore, that the cloud of confusion is lifted and the problem is defined in its proper historical context. This is the west's hatred and enmity of Islam and the defeat and dismemberment of the House of Islam at the hands of the west. The creation of Israel was only the final and most arrogant act in political penetration and domination of the House of Islam by the west. It follows, therefore, that Palestine can only be reclaimed by reversing the process by which it was lost. This means that all parts of the House of Islam have to be reclaimed from western control and domination; the final act of this process of reclamation will be the dismantling of the Israeli State.

I have deliberately used the word 'reclamation' rather than 'liberation'. This is because 'liberation' implies a simple act of pushing out the colonialists while the task in hand is much more extensive. When, for instance, land is reclaimed from the sea it has to be desalinated and a fresh topsoil laid over it before it can be put to productive use. 'Liberation' or simple 'independence' leaves the land unfit for its original culture and civilisation. In all the post-colonial States the colonial culture and western civilisation have continued to flourish after 'liberation' or 'independence'.

Only in Iran has the Islamic Revolution gone on to complete the task of reclamation. This was possible because the political thought of the Islamic Revolution and its leadership owed nothing to the colonial period. Both the political thought and leadership of the ulama emerged from deep down the history and culture of Islamic Iran. Thus the Islamic Revolution was not an agreed or negotiated 'independence' but a forceful, powerful and uncompromising reassertion of the political culture and civilisation of Islam. Iran, therefore, is the only part of the House of Islam that has been totally reclaimed from the domination of western culture and civilisation.

Once the need for the reclamation of all parts of the House of Islam is understood, we also know that the only way to achieve this goal is through a succession of Islamic Revolutions. For Islamic Revolutions to occur in other parts of the world we have to come to terms with a new set of realities. These are summarised below:

1. The 'Islamic' parties that emerged during the colonial period suffer from the same disabilities as the nationalist parties that achieved negotiated liberation or independence. Such 'Islamic' parties are now in the service of Al-Saud, and indirectly of the United States. They are therefore, irrelevant and can form no part of the new revolutionary Islamic movement.
2. The new Islamic movement must flow directly from the conceptualisation of the experience in Iran. A new political thought derived from the Islamic Revolution in Iran alone can provide a solid foundation for the new global Islamic Movement.
3. The Islamic State of Iran is the most successful manifestation of the political power of Islam achieved by Muslims anywhere in more than 1,000 years. This does not mean that the Islamic State of Iran has no faults or that the shape and form the Islamic State has taken in Iran is perfect. All this means is that the shape, form and structure the Islamic State has achieved in Iran is of sufficient power and stability that it has earned the right to our support over a prolonged period of improvement and growth.
4. The power and stability achieved by the Islamic State in Iran is also of a sufficient quality to act as the central political reality in the Ummah. As such, the new Islamic State in Iran has taken the duty to act as leader of the new global Islamic movement for the reclamation of all parts of the House of Islam from the clutches of the house of kufr.
5. Those Muslims in the world who recognise that an Islamic State of sufficient power and stability has come into being have a duty to give their total allegiance to that Islamic State and its leadership.
6. It follows from this that the Vali-e-Faqih in Tehran is also the leader of the Global Islamic movement.

The six points outlined above are the foundations on which any plan to reclaim any part of the Ummah must be based, including the reclamation of Palestine. We must also remember that in some ways such nation-States as Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq and Saudi Arabia are at present just as 'lost' to Islam as Palestine. Palestine cannot be reclaimed on its own; Palestine can only be reclaimed as part of the process of the total reclamation of the entire area.

Indeed, it may well be that Palestine can only be reclaimed after the heartland of Islam surrounding Palestine has first been reclaimed and reconsolidated into Islam. Thus victory in Palestine will mark the end of this struggle, not its beginning. The victory of Islam in Iran has been the first step on a long journey; the victory in Palestine will mark the final triumph of Islam over the west. To reach Palestine we must first reclaim the land surrounding Palestine. The Arab States, Israel's first line of defence, must be claimed before physical access to Palestine can be obtained.

This is the logic of history. There is no other road back to Palestine.
