Tehran to host 33rd International Qur’an Exhibition during Ramadan 2026

A deputy of Iran’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance said the 33rd edition of International Qur’an Exhibition is set to be held in the capital Tehran concurrent with the fasting month of Ramadan.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamidreza Arbab Soleimani, the Qur’anic affairs deputy of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance said the upcoming Qur’an exhibition will be held under the title ‘Iran under Protection of Qur’an’, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Speaking at the press conference held for the 33rd Qur’an exhibition, the cleric stressed that the motto ‘Iran under Protection of Qur’an’ is not merely a title but a civilizational approach since the holy book of Islam has remained an axis of national solidarity and cultural authority

He noted that the upcoming event will be held in eleven sections of display-only and three sections for sale.

The sections are specialized in 14 themes with one section actively working on Qur’an and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) marking the 1500th birth anniversary of the prophet of Islam.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Arbab Soleimani, referring to the recent terrorist attacks that targeted mosques and copies of Qur’an, called the upcoming Qur’an exhibition as an opportunity for further introducing the holy book of Islam.

He noted that a joint decision was made by the International Qur’an Exhibition and the holy shrine of Imam Reza to invite the mosques that were damaged during the recent terrorist attacks and present them with new copies of Qur’an.

According to the cleric, a special section of the 33rd Qur’an exhibition is related to artificial intelligence and modern technologies used in relation to Qur’anic activities.

He added that Qur’an researchers and thinkers from more than 14 countries including Indonesia, Egypt, Oman, Turkey, Bahrain and China will attend the international section of the 33rd International Qur’an Exhibition.

The major Qur’anic event in Tehran will be held from February 20 to March 6, 2026. Two dozen other Iranian cities will also host similar exhibitions during the fasting month of Ramadan.
