Karachi rally voices support for Leader of Islamic Republic, Iranian nation

Hundreds of Pakistani demonstrators have taken to the streets in Karachi to stress their support for the Leader of Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and the Iranian nation.

Organized by various political parties in Pakistan, the Sunday rally condemned the crimes by the U.S. and Israeli regime, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The gathering also served as a renewal of allegiance to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution involved Shia, Sunni, Christian and Hindu groups.

Speakers at the rally strongly condemned last week’s terrorist attack on a Shia mosque in Islamabad and denounced what they described as the collaboration of extremist Takfiri (excommunication) elements with the United States and Israel aimed at undermining unity in the Muslim world.

Prominent figures from Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, the Shia Ulema Council, the Imamia Students Organization and several Sunni groups addressed the demonstrators, calling for greater internal cohesion and strengthening of the Islamic front in rejecting what they termed the “malicious conspiracies” of the United States and Israel.

Participants also voiced support for the people of Gaza and the Palestinian struggle against Israeli occupation, setting fire to U.S. and Israeli flags during the rally.

Following the rally, a delegation of participating figures visited the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi, where they met with Iran’s Consul General Akbar Eisa Zadeh.

The delegation submitted a petition signed by hundreds of demonstrators expressing solidarity and support for the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

Iranian Consul General for his part welcomed the delegation and described the Karachi rally as another symbol of unity, cohesion and solidarity between the Iranian and Pakistani nations.

Representatives of various political and religious organizations present at the meeting also congratulated Iran on the upcoming 47th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

They emphasized that regardless of whether current developments would lead to war or continue through negotiations, they would stand alongside the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
