TEHRAN – President Ebrahim Raisi said on Wednesday that his administration is capable of addressing the problems facing Iran.
Speaking at a meeting of the Assembly of Experts, Raisi highlighted the culture of “we can” that is prevailing in his administration.
“If the 13th government has had any successes in the field of foreign policy, it has been in the light of following the guidelines of the Supreme Leader and if there are any shortcomings, it is our fault,” he said, according to IRNA. “If what the Leader of the Revolution has drawn is followed, the country will progress and the sovereignty and majesty of our country will be preserved.”
He added, “We have in front of us a system of his views in various fields, which we must implement with effort around the clock. We believe that with hope and the ‘we can’ culture, we can make up for the setbacks."
The president further said that if the directives of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution regarding the Resistance Economy had been paid attention to, the situation in the country would have been different. “In the fields of culture and politics, if his guidelines and opinions were fully implemented, we would definitely have better conditions than the current situation,” he continued.
“We deeply believe that we can solve the country's problems.”
He continued, “Many things have been done and are being done in all fields, and it is important for us to give people hope. The Supreme Leader also emphasized that we should strive to strengthen people's faith and hope, and anything that causes people's disappointment is, from the government's point of view, a companionship with the enemies.”
President Raisi also pointed to the economic hardships Iran faced when his administration began its work nearly two years ago. He said that his administration succeeded in solving many of these woes.
