Islamic Jihad has ‘deep, strategic’ ties with Iran: Official

Tehran, IRNA - Ihsan Ataya, a senior member of the political bureau of Islamic Jihad, has hailed the “deep and strategic” relations between the Palestinian resistance movement and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“Our relations with Iran, Syria, and Hezbollah are focal points in our military training and improvement of our performance,” he said on Friday, according to Palestinian media.

“Islamic Jihad will lean towards any party that opposes the Zionist regime and the United States,” he added.

Ataya said that Islamic Jihad is prepared to “pay any cost for the success of this movement” in achieving their ultimate goal, which is the liberation of Palestine.

“We are seeking to expand the movement in several countries, and the Islamic Jihad is a beacon of hope on the path to liberating Palestine,” he stated.

The official pointed out that the enemy of the Palestinians is not only the occupying regime of Israel, but a large coalition led by the United States.
