TEHRAN – Iranian Oil Minister Javad Oji has emphasized the important role of the oil industry in strengthening the ties between the Islamic Republic and Saudi Arabia, Shana reported.
“Iran and Saudi Arabia are two great regional powers whose cooperation will be effective in improving security, economic prosperity, and cultural and social prosperity of the Islamic world, and in this regard, the oil industry can play a central role in strengthening the common economic interests of the two countries,” Oji said on Tuesday, in a meeting with Saudi Ambassador to Iran Abdullah bin Saudi Al-Enzi.
Multilateral cooperation between Iran and Saudi Arabia under the framework of international and regional organizations is an extraordinary capacity that has provided new opportunities for mutual cooperation more than ever, the Iranian minister said.
Al-Enzi for his part expressed hope that: “with the grace of God and the efforts of the Saudi Arabian authorities, we will witness the success of this country in reaching the horizons of development and progress.”
