Al‑Zein: Abduction of Maduro Is Criminal Act, Violation of International Law

According to Taghrib News Agency(TNA), al‑Zein emphasized that Maduro came to power through official and democratic processes, noting that there was no resolution or authorization from the UN Security Council for such an operation.

He stated that this action constitutes a unilateral move outside the framework of international legal norms.

Criticizing U.S. policy, the analyst said that the operation was illegal and an example of coercive and hegemonic behavior that contradicts accepted principles of international law.
Dr. al‑Zein also referred to the U.S. President’s remarks regarding the Monroe Doctrine, explaining that Washington seeks to prevent the influence of powers such as China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea in Venezuela. He added that Venezuela’s geographical proximity to U.S. shores and Washington’s perception of the country as part of its traditional sphere of influence are among the hidden factors behind the intensified pressure on Caracas.
Commenting on recent U.S. threats against several countries, he said that the main objective of this approach is to force rivals into submission or negotiations from a position of weakness, while exploiting their natural resources.
The analyst warned that if the international community fails to act, the global system will face weakened legal structures, increased instability, and the risk of widespread conflict.
Dr. al‑Zein continued in a direct and critical tone: “If the world does not confront these actions, Trump will push us toward a third world war, barbarism, and the law of the jungle. Putin’s statement that nuclear weapons are the only guarantee of security reflects escalating arms competition and the world’s drift toward a large‑scale war. This situation gravely threatens coexistence and international peace, as no credible authority would remain to restrain power.
According to historical and divine traditions, oppressive governments eventually collapse. The same fate that befell past empires will ultimately befall the United States. Trump cannot stand against the world and against God. Pharaoh also defied God, and he and his army were drowned in the sea. This is a divine law.
Such actions should motivate the countries of the Axis of Resistance to strengthen their military capabilities and defensive experience to withstand U.S. plots. The people of the Middle East have a distinct culture inspired by the Holy Qur’an—a Qur’an that emphasizes jihad, supporting the oppressed, and resisting oppressors. None of Trump’s plans will be able to erase the culture and civilization of the region’s nations, including Iran, Iraq, and other Islamic countries.
As the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Axis of Resistance have demonstrated, strength emerges from resistance and self‑discipline. Martyrs Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al‑Muhandis worked tirelessly, guided by the Qur’anic command ‘Prepare against them whatever force you can muster’, to uphold the dignity of the Islamic Ummah.
Imam Khomeini also stressed that the United States is the Great Satan and that confronting it is both possible and necessary. Through its support for the Zionist regime, the United States seeks to preserve this malignant entity in the region—a regime that serves as an instrument for implementing plots against Islam and Muslims.”
