The Evil Nature Of Zionism

Editor

How does one describe an ideology whose over-riding mission is to displace, kill and ethnically cleanse people from the land where they have resided for thousands of years? Zionism is that violently racist ideology. It is the product of European colonialist thought that considers people of different skin colour or religion as sub-humans.

Europe has a long history of spawning demonic ideologies, all equally destructive. Colonialism, imperialism, nationalism, Nazi-ism and zionism immediately come to mind. They have all inflicted immense suffering on people worldwide.

While the zionists claim that they are the victims of Nazi-ism, they indulge in the same barbaric practices that their tormentors perpetrated during the Second World War. The zionists have even surpassed the Nazis. They openly declare that they will continue the genocide of innocent women and children in Gaza. The hundreds of thousands of Palestinians killed, maimed or displaced provide ample proof of this.

It must be understood that the zionists are alien invaders in Palestine. The zionist state is a settler colonial entity which serves as a beach-head for western colonialism and US imperialism in the heartland of Islam. That is why it is fully backed, armed and financed by the collective west. In this, it even surpasses the Nazis in Germany. The latter went about their racist project on their own.

The zionists’ claim to being victims of Nazi-ism also needs to be exposed and properly understood. Many leading zionists actively collaborated with the Nazis. In fact, they saw the Nazis’ persecution of Jews as useful in advancing their colonial project in Palestine.

One of the leading zionists, Avraham Stern founded in 1940 the terrorist outfit that took its name from him: the ‘Stern Gang’. It had split from the terrorist outfit Irgun Zvai Leumi. Irgun was not a grandmothers’ garden tea party outfit either but for Stern, it was not sufficiently violent.

The Hebrew name of the terrorist outfit that Stern led was Loḥamei Ḥerut Yisra’el (Lehi) translated as “Fighters for the Freedom of Israel”. As with all zionist myths, the “freedom of Israel” was also part of this mythology. There was no state of Israel that anybody had occupied.

In history, Israel had existed for only 72 years. That was more than 2,500 years ago. It was the kingdom established by Prophet Daud and then ruled by his son, Prophet Sulaiman. That kingdom had nothing to do with the monstrosity that exists today. How the zionists can lay claim to Palestine based on something that existed for a very short period 2,500 years ago defies logic.

Zionism, however, is not based on logic. This racist ideology uses brute force to steal other people’s land. Dispossession, ethnic cleansing and murder are the weapons in its arsenal used to achieve its demonic goals.

Even before the zionist entity had not come into existence, Menachem Begin’s terrorist gang, the Irgun, perpetrated the massacre at Deir Yassin on April 9, 1948. The late French intellectual Roger Garaudy has provided details about the Deir Yassin massacre in his book, The case of Israel: A Study of Political Zionism.

Deir Yassin has gained notoriety in zionist terrorism. Garaudy writes: “… following the example of the Nazis are Oradour, 254 inhabitants of this village—men, women, children, old people—were massacred by troops of the Irgun, whose leader was Menachem Begin.

“In his book The Revolt, Begin writes (p.165) that without what was done at Deir Yassin there would not have been a State of Israel, and adds: ‘Meanwhile the Haganah was carrying out successful attacks on other fronts… The Arabs began fleeing shouting ‘Deir Yassin’!” (Garaudy: p.50).

More than 750,000 Palestinians were driven out of their country. This figure was based on refugees registered with the UN. The actual number is close to one million.

We need to complete the narration about Avraham Stern. He was killed by the British police in his Jerusalem apartment in February 1942. With his physical elimination, even more fascist elements took over the terrorist gang.

Israel Shahak, the late human rights advocate, quotes from a 1988 book about the Lehi by Dr. Yosef Heller (an Israeli writer), that Stern admired the Nazi and Italian fascists. In 1940, Mussolini’s air force bombed Tel Aviv, killing 100 people and injured hundreds more. No doubt most Palestinians, Arabs and Jews alike, were horrified.

Not so Stern; he had a different reaction. According to Heller, the attack “impressed him deeply,” and Stern became convinced that Italy would be victorious.

Before his death, Stern had contacted the Axis powers seeking help against the British. Yitzhak Shamir, who later became Israel’s prime minister (twice), was the gang’s liaison with the Nazis. Lenni Brenner has exposed the gang’s attempts to establish contact with the Nazis. So much for the zionists’ claim to be fighting the Nazis who murdered Jews.

Documents recovered from the German consulate in Istanbul after the Second World War showed that in January and again in December of 1941, the group sent representatives to meet with Nazi officials to establish a military alliance.

Despite its founder’s elimination, the Stern Gang intensified its attacks on airfields, railway yards, and other strategic installations in Palestine, often successfully.

No less ruthless were the activities of the Irgun terrorist outfit. One of the worst terrorist attacks was perpetrated by the group at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem on July 22, 1946. It was planned by Irgun’s leader Begin.

The explosives (500 pounds) were smuggled into the hotel. The explosion caused the collapse of several floors, resulting in the death of 91 people. Scores of others were injured.

Calder Walton, a historian at the Harvard Kennedy School, described the bombing of the King David Hotel “as one of the worst terrorist atrocities inflicted on the British in the twentieth century,” in terms of fatalities. Both Begin and Shamir were on Britain’s ‘Most Wanted’ list of terrorists which had announced a reward of £10,000 for their capture.

The two terrorists later became prime ministers of Israel reflecting the terrorist nature of this illegitimate entity. Begin even got the Nobel Peace Prize.

The list of zionist crimes is very long. We must, however, mention Israel’s murderous invasion of Lebanon of June 1982. Begin was the prime minister and Ariel Sharon was the general in charge of the murderous assault.

In addition to the Israeli army murdering Palestinians, the Christian Phalangists, Israel’s Lebanese allies, carried out a massacre of Palestinians in Sabra and Shatilla refugee camps in Beirut. The pogrom went on for two days in September 1982 while Israeli forces cordoned off the camps.

Thousands of Palestinians—elderly men, women and children—were slaughtered. Even their animals were not spared. When there was international outcry against the slaughter facilitated by the zionists, Begin stood up in the Knesset (Israeli parliament) and declared: “Goyim kills goyim and they come to hang the Jew.”

The zionists are continuing the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza. In the Israeli occupied West Bank, thousands of Palestinians have been kidnapped and thrown in prison where they face physical and sexual abuse. More than 45 Palestinians have been murdered under torture.

Zionism is not only a racist ideology it is also barbaric in nature. Its true nature must be understood by all people who believe in freedom, justice and human dignity.
