Houthi leader: Netanyahu's Congress speech reflect ‘level of crisis’

Leader of the Houthi group in Yemen, Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, said yesterday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech before Congress “reflected the level of crisis and impasse in his cabinet, as well as his aggression and criminality”, Russia Today reported.

In an address to the nation, Al-Houthi added: “Netanyahu denied the killing of [Palestinian] civilians despite the clear scenes and facts in the Gaza Strip and resorted to falsification and slander.”

Hebrew media, he added, has proven that the Houthis pose a threat to Israel, while the American media considered the movement’s drone strike on Tel Aviv the most dangerous attack on Israel’s security since 7 October.

“Before the [attack on Tel Aviv], we were constantly seeking to develop our capabilities further to achieve these goals… We are still in a state of continuous development so that the capabilities are more effective, more destructive, harmful and humiliating to the enemy,” he added.

“We want the Zionists to be extremely anxious and never sleep and never enjoy stability, because they are criminal and unjust occupiers. The Americans failed to prevent operations in the Red Sea, and the commander-in-chief of the American forces in the Middle East confirmed this in a secret message to the Minister of War,” Al-Houthi said.

He explained that the Israeli attack on Hudaydah was “to show off and an attempt to deter [Yemen] from supporting Palestine,” but stressed that nothing will deter Sanaa from supporting Palestine.
