The ethnic cleansing of Palestinian Christians that nobody is talking about

Palestinian-American journalist and author Ramzy Baroud says Palestine’s Christian population is dwindling at an alarming rate to move elsewhere. And the reason for this is Israel. 

Christian leaders from Palestine and South Africa sounded the alarm at a conference in Johannesburg on October 15. Their gathering was titled: “The Holy Land: A Palestinian Christian Perspective.”

One major issue that highlighted itself at the meetings is the rapidly declining number of Palestinian Christians in Palestine.

There are varied estimates on how many Palestinian Christians are still living in Palestine today, compared with the period before 1948 when the state of Israel was established atop Palestinian towns and villages.

Regardless of the source of the various studies, there is near consensus that the number of Christian inhabitants of Palestine has dropped by nearly ten-fold in the last 70 years.

A population census carried out by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics in 2017 concluded that there are 47,000 Palestinian Christians living in Palestine – with reference to the Occupied West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip.

98 percent of Palestine’s Christians live in the West Bank – concentrated mostly in the cities of Ramallah, Bethlehem and Jerusalem – while the remainder, a tiny Christian community of merely 1,100 people, lives in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Bethlehem

The demographic crisis that had afflicted the Christian community decades ago is now brewing.

For example, 70 years ago, Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus Christ, was 86 percent Christian. The demographics of the city, however, have fundamentally shifted, especially after the Israeli occupation of the West Bank in June 1967, and the construction of the illegal Israeli apartheid wall, starting in 2002. Parts of the wall were meant to cut off Bethlehem from Jerusalem and to isolate the former from the rest of the West Bank.

“The Wall encircles Bethlehem by continuing south of East Jerusalem in both the east and west,” the Open Bethlehem organisation said, describing the devastating impact of the wall on the Palestinian city. “With the land isolated by the Wall, annexed for settlements, and closed under various pretexts, only 13% of the Bethlehem district is available for Palestinian use.”

Increasingly beleaguered, Palestinian Christians in Bethlehem have been driven out from their historic city in large numbers. According to the city’s mayor, Vera Baboun, as of 2016, the Christian population of Bethlehem has dropped to 12 percent, merely 11,000 people.

The most optimistic estimates place the overall number of Palestinian Christians in the whole of Occupied Palestine at less than two percent.

The correlation between the shrinking Christian population in Palestine, and the Israeli occupation and apartheid should be unmistakable, as it is obvious to Palestine’s Christian and Muslim population alike.

A study conducted by Dar al-Kalima University in the West Bank town of Beit Jala and published in December 2017, interviewed nearly 1,000 Palestinians, half of them Christian and the other half Muslim. One of the main goals of the research was to understand the reason behind the depleting Christian population in Palestine.

The study concluded that “the pressure of Israeli occupation, ongoing constraints, discriminatory policies, arbitrary arrests, confiscation of lands added to the general sense of hopelessness among Palestinian Christians,” who are finding themselves in “a despairing situation where they can no longer perceive a future for their offspring or for themselves.”

Unfounded claims that Palestinian Christians are leaving because of religious tensions between them and their Muslim brethren are, therefore, irrelevant.

Gaza

Gaza is another case in point. Only 2 percent of Palestine’s Christians live in the impoverished and besieged Gaza Strip. When Israel occupied Gaza along with the rest of historic Palestine in 1967, an estimated 2,300 Christians lived in the Strip. However, merely 1,100 Christians still live in Gaza today. Years of occupation, horrific wars and an unforgiving siege can do that to a community, whose historic roots date back to two millennia.

Like Gaza’s Muslims, these Christians are cut off from the rest of the world, including the holy sites in the West Bank. Every year, Gaza’s Christians apply for permits from the Israeli military to join Easter services in Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Last April, only 200 Christians were granted permits, but on the condition that they must be 55 years of age or older and that they are not allowed to visit Jerusalem.

The Israeli rights group, Gisha, described the Israeli army decision as “a further violation of Palestinians’ fundamental rights to freedom of movement, religious freedom and family life”, and, rightly, accused Israel of attempting to “deepen the separation” between Gaza and the West Bank.

In fact, Israel aims at doing more than that. Separating Palestinian Christians from one another, and from their holy sites (as is the case for Muslims, as well), the Israeli government hopes to weaken the socio-cultural and spiritual connections that give Palestinians their collective identity.

Israel’s strategy is predicated on the idea that a combination of factors – immense economic hardships, permanent siege and apartheid, the severing of communal and spiritual bonds – will eventually drive all Christians out of their Palestinian homeland.

Victimisation

Israel is keen to present the conflict in Palestine as a religious one so that it could, in turn, brand itself as a beleaguered Jewish state in the midst of a massive Muslim population in the Middle East. The continued existence of Palestinian Christians does not factor nicely into this Israeli agenda.

Sadly, however, Israel has succeeded in misrepresenting the struggle in Palestine – from that of political and human rights struggle against settler colonialism – into a religious one. Equally disturbing, Israel’s most ardent supporters in the United States and elsewhere are religious Christians.

It must be understood that Palestinian Christians are neither aliens nor bystanders in Palestine. They have been victimised equally as their Muslim brethren, and have also played a major role in defining the modern Palestinian identity, through their resistance, spirituality, deep connection to the land, artistic contributions and burgeoning scholarship.

Israel must not be allowed to ostracise the world’s most ancient Christian community from their ancestral land so that it may score a few points in its deeply disturbing drive for racial supremacy.

Equally important, our understanding of the legendary Palestinian soumoud (steadfastness) and of solidarity cannot be complete without fully appreciating the centrality of Palestinian Christians to the modern Palestinian narrative and identity.

India annexes Kashmir under the dark shadow of Netanyahu and Modi’s far-right embrace

The depth of love between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi has few parallels. Many traits unite the current crop of populist, power-hungry, authoritarian strongmen that have been on the rise of late, but few have enjoyed the kind of relationship that has blossomed between Modi and Netanyahu. The two are in a league of their own; conjoined twins some may say, whose friendship is forged through similar racist ideologies and deep dislike of minorities.

Both leaders again expressed their affection for each other yesterday. Netanyahu responded to Modi’s declaration of “eternal” friendship by saying: “Thank you, my friend, Indian PM @narendramodi. I could not agree with you more. The deep connection between Israel and India is rooted in the strong friendships between Israelis and Indians. We cooperate in so many areas. I know our ties will only strengthen in the future!”

Netanyahu’s adoration was prompted by a Modi tweet in which he thanked an Israeli Embassy message on Twitter: “May our ever-strengthening friendship & #growingpartnership touch greater heights.” Replying in Hebrew, Modi said: “Thank you; I wish the great citizens of Israel and my friend @netanyahu a happy Friendship Day. Israel and India have proved their friendship over time. Our ties our eternal and strong. I hope that our friendship will continue to thrive and grow even further.”

The exchange took place as India prepared to more or less annex the Muslim-majority state of Jammu and Kashmir by revoking its special status. Modi’s right-wing Hindu nationalist government pushed forward with a hostile move to revoke the part of the constitution that gives Indian-administered Kashmir special status in what is seen as an unprecedented move. It is not unlike Israel’s ongoing attempt to seize the whole West Bank and is just as likely to spark unrest.

Article 370 is sensitive because it guarantees significant autonomy for the disputed territory by allowing the 12 million people who live in Jammu and Kashmir to have their own constitution, a separate flag and independence over all matters except foreign affairs, defence and communications. India’s decision has been denounced by the former chief minister of the state, Mehbooba Mufti, who is reported by the BBC as saying that the move effectively made India an occupying force. “Today marks the darkest day in Indian democracy,” she tweeted, adding that the government’s “unilateral decision” is “illegal and unconstitutional.”

Modi’s decision, which upheld a promise made by his right-wing Hindu nationalist party during its 2019 election campaign, is expected to lead to violence and arrests. Activists on the ground in Kashmir spoke to MEMO of the “total communication blackout since midnight” and reported that the “whole of Kashmir is under strict indefinite curfew.” In recent days, the Indian government has also moved 10,000 troops to what is already one of the most militarised regions in the world and ordered tourists and Hindu pilgrims to leave the Himalayan valley.

The newly dispatched soldiers will join the nearly 700,000 Indian soldiers already deployed in Indian-administered Kashmir, where civilian protesters and armed rebels either want freedom for the Muslim-majority Kashmir from India or merger with Pakistan. Both India and Pakistan claim the region of Kashmir in full and have fought two of their three wars over it.

Modi’s plan for India-administered Kashmir has uncanny similarities with the way in which Netanyahu, with a similar right-wing extreme nationalist government, is looking to annex the West Bank. The ideological bond between the extreme version of Zionism represented by Netanyahu and the extreme Hindu nationalism of the Hindutva, represent by Modi, is almost identical: both are political ideologies; both subscribe to the same concept of a far-right ethno-nationalist movement that uses religion to achieve its aims, and both misrepresent history to justify atrocities against minorities in pursuit of an exclusivist and discriminatory political vision.

Hinduvta members, like their ideological counterparts in Israel, speak openly of ethnic cleansing and expelling minority communities: that includes Dalits, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Ravidassias and Buddhists in the case of the extremist Hindus, and Christian and Muslim Palestinians in the case of Israel. Their vision is rooted in fascism and white supremacy. Hindutva is identified commonly as the guiding ideology of the Hindu Nationalist Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of which Modi is a member.

OPINION: Kashmir from Nehru to Modi; what’s changed?

A profile of RSS ideology shows that its leaders draw their inspiration from right-wing, fascist European groups and their leaders, including Hitler and Mussolini. Its long-time chief, M S Golwalkar, is said to have openly admired Hitler’s “final solution” and wanted to apply the same approach in India to eliminate the country’s minorities. This makes the strong bond between Modi and Netanyahu even harder to understand.

While the two countries under their current rulers can be said to enjoy an ideological affinity and subscribe to the exclusivist political vision of the far-right, both are also locked in a struggle with a large minority group challenging military occupation and human rights abuse, thus making them allies in ways that are rare on the global stage. Relations between the two countries have never been better. India is now the largest weapons market for the Israeli arms trade; the two countries carry out joint military exercises; and Israel uses the Negev Desert to train Indian soldiers in the tactics of suppressing civilian populations, its expertise learned through the suppression of Palestinians in the Gaza and the West-Bank.

It’s in this regard that Israel, perhaps more than any other right-wing government, has excelled. It is in an enviable position, according to Israeli author Jeff Halper, to “secure insecurity” having had decades of experience suppressing Palestinians. In his 2015 book, War Against the People Halper argues that Israel’s security exports are unmatched due to its ability to develop weapons and techniques for urban warfare, surveillance and intelligence; what Halper calls “full-spectrum domination”. Israel’s success is put down to its knowledge and experience of developing control technologies and battle-tested weapons that have become the “must-have” items in the armoury of every authoritarian dictator facing a restive population. This was demonstrated clearly when Israeli-made Rafael Spice-2000 “smart bombs” were used by the Indian air force in its strike against Kashmiri “terrorists” inside Pakistan in February.

Beyond trade and arms sales, Israel has also found an ally in Modi on the international stage where the Zionist state regularly comes under sharp criticism from the UN and other international bodies. In June, New Delhi’s representative at the global body voted in favour of Israel in a vote to grant consultative status to a Palestinian human rights NGO, which eventually lost its bid to join the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). The vote marked an unprecedented stage in relations between the two countries. India’s history in the anti-colonial movement once made it a strong ally of the Palestinian cause. Previous Indian prime ministers, including the country’s founder and revered leader Mahatma Gandhi, opposed Israel, believing it to be a colonial enterprise. The leader of the Indian independence movement against the British was strongly opposed to the idea of a Jewish national home in Palestine, he believed it was an an expression of ethnonationalism that was inimical to the values of secular liberal democracy.

With his embrace of Netanyahu, Modi has turned his back on the legacy of Gandhi and his vision of a secular democracy based on civic nationalism and equality for all, irrespective of race and religion. Indian democracy has indeed taken a serious hit.

WHY ABRAHAM IS AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE FOR ALL ABRAHAMIC FAITHS

The Qur’an states, “You have an excellent example to follow in Abraham” (60:4) and “Follow the way of Abraham as people of pure faith” (3:95).

What makes Prophet Abraham according to three different religions’ Sacred Scriptures; the one “whom God chose to be His friend” (the Arabic Qur’an 4:125, the Hebrew Bible Isaiah 41:8, and the Greek New Testament James [the brother of Jesus] 2:23) so special?

For Jews and Christians, Abraham is the first monotheist. For Muslims, Adam was the first of many thousands of prophets of God (one Hadith says 124,000, another mentions 224,000) who called upon the people of their own tribe or nation to turn to the One God. There have also been about 315 messengers, who brought a unique set of laws to their own tribe or nation. Thus, according to Islam, God provided humans with Divine guidance and knowledge long before the birth of Abraham. So what makes Abraham such an excellent example?

All prophets divinely inspired by the one and only God are, of course, monotheists. Pious believers of any individual prophet “should not discriminate between any one of His prophets”  (Qur’an 2:285 & 4:152).

This is why prophet Muhammad is quoted to have said, “Prophets are brothers in faith, having different mothers. Their religion is, however, one.” 

All prophets have the same father, who is the One God whose inspiration gives birth to their prophethood. However, each prophet has a different mother i.e. a mother tongue, a motherland, and a target audience that he speaks to at a specific time in history. Thus, prophets are brothers in faithfulness to the One God but their Divinely inspired message differs because it must be appropriate for their motherland, their mother tongue, their own people, and the historical circumstances of their prophet’s lifetime.  

Therefore, not all monotheistic prophets are the same. “We have exalted some above others.” To some (Moses), God spoke directly (4:164); others He raised high in rank (4:163-6); to “Jesus, Mary’s son, We gave clear signs and supported him with the Holy Spirit.” (2:253). Also, “We have exalted some prophets above others (see 38:41-48) and gave the Zabur (Book of Psalms) to David” (17:55). 

Abraham (Qur’an 57:26), Moses, David, Jesus, and Muhammad all received a holy book. Abraham was the first of these five to receive a Sacred Scripture. All of the four others were among his descendants. Is this what makes Abraham so special that his name appears 69 times in the Qur’an, second only to Moses (136 times)? I do not think that being mentioned frequently is by itself why Abraham plays such an important part in all three Abrahamic religions.  

Abraham is especially famous for the numerous ways God tested him; especially the terrible tests of banishing his wife Hagar and his firstborn son Ishmael (Qur’an 2:124 & Genesis 9:9-21) and bringing his son to a special place as an offering to God (Qur’an 37:100-113 & Genesis 22:1-24).

Most Muslim commentators say the son, unnamed in the Qur’an, was Ishmael. Some Muslim commentators assert it was Isaac. Perhaps both participated in this test at different times, so that each son could produce descendants who, in time, would become a blessing for many other nations of the earth (Genesis 22:16-18 & Qur’an 4:163). In any case, Abraham’s test with his son became an iconic sign of faith and trust in God’s will for Jews, Christians, and Muslims.

In addition to his two sons, Abraham is unique in the numerous prophets God chose from among his descendants, whose names are recorded in the Bible and the Qur’an. With the exception of Noah, Balaam (and perhaps Melchizedek in Genesis 14:18), all Biblical prophets and most of the 25 prophets named in the Qur’an, are descendants of Abraham.

“We did grant the Family of Abraham the Book, the Wisdom, and a mighty (spiritual) kingdom.”

               (Qur’an 57:26)

One of the most insightful verses relating the special virtue of Abraham states, “Abraham was a community” (Qur’an 16:120). How can one person be an umma, an ongoing people/community? Muslim commentators offer many different glosses on this verse. One medieval commentator, Fakhr al-Din Razi (1149-1209) offered four different opinions.

His fourth opinion is that Abraham reached a unique level of faith and religion above the many prophets that preceded him. A similar view was also propounded by a Hassidic Rabbi, Levi Yitzkhok of Birditchev (1740-1809). Levi Yitzkhok and Fakhr al-Din Razi lived in totally different worlds in terms of time, space and culture; yet spiritually they seem very connected. Rabbi Levi Yitzkhok of Birditchev, in his Torah commentary Kidushat Levi, glosses Genesis 15:1 as follows:

“There are two kinds of God worshipers: one group worship due to their consciousness that there is a creator of everything (including good and bad), another group worships due to the ‘heavenly help’ they received for doing God’s will.”

Those who worship due to their conscious understanding really envision God. Those who worship due to ‘heavenly help’ envision God only to be like a judge; they do not worship with the devoted eyes of a lover. Worshippers with conscious understanding are able to influence others and give birth to ongoing outcomes.

Worshippers due to ‘heavenly help’ cannot influence others because when their faith doesn’t ‘pay off’ they despair in God. This is the meaning of the verse (15:1) “After these events the word of the Lord came to Abraham in a vision”. Abraham was now able to envision God in a new way because he himself had come to a new level of self-conscious worship. Thus, in verse 15:4 Abraham is told that (after decades of infertility) he will produce offspring due to his new self-consciousness.

Worshippers who benefit from heavenly help are literalists and pragmatists. Before Abraham, religious groups took their religious mythology literally because their religion was functional. Religious beliefs help reduce anxiety and depression; strengthen the immune system and thus help to heal as well as create cultural motifs that socialize the young by promising divine reward and punishment help enforce moral principles of fairness and reciprocity.

Before Abraham, people simply received these benefits and felt grateful to the Gods who bestowed them. They felt they had real spiritual experiences even though they worshiped multiple Gods and idols. When their Gods failed to deliver what they wanted, they begged, bribed, and propitiated other Gods.

This kind of functional religion is universal and helps account for the failure of 99.9% of the (124,000 or 224,000) prophets sent by God to establish ongoing communities of ethical monotheists. Few people remained loyal to the teachings of their religious leaders when, in later decades or generations, things turned against them. The few individuals who, in their own life, did remain faithful to the teachings of their prophet saw their own children or grandchildren turn away. As literalists, they could not interpret the hidden ways of God’s guidance when they suffered continual defeat or disappointment. This is why even the descendants of prophets like Noah and Ishmael did not remain an ongoing monotheistic community and after several generations reverted to idolatry and polytheism.

Abraham reached a higher level of religious self-conscious. Abraham realized that everything comes from God; both what we think is good and what we think is bad. We should not judge life from our very limited personal perspective. In the words of another Hassidic Rabbi, Moses of Kobryn,

“A suffering person should not say: ‘That’s bad. That’s bad.’ Nothing God imposes on a human is bad. But, it is all right to say: ‘That’s bitter!’ For there are some medicines that are made with bitter herbs.”

I am not a Muslim; I am a Reform Rabbi who first became interested in Islam when I studied it at a university (UCLA) 60 years ago. I have continued my study of Islam off and on for six decades and for some time I have considered myself to be a Reform Rabbi and a Muslim Jew. Actually, I am a Muslim Jew i.e. a faithful Jew submitting to the will of God, because I am a Reform Rabbi.

As a Rabbi, I am faithful to the covenant that God made with Abraham – the first Muslim Jew, and I submit to the commandments that God made with the people of Israel at Mount Sinai. Abraham was a Muslim (a believer who submitter to the One and Only God); and the grandfather of Prophet Yakub/Jacob and the great-grandfather of the 12 tribes (Banu Israel) from whom all Jews including converts are descendant.

As a Reform Rabbi, I believe we should not make religion difficult for people to practice. This is an important lesson that Prophet Muhammad taught 12 centuries before the rise of Reform Judaism in early 19th century Germany. In many ways, statements in the Qur’an about Orthodox Jewish beliefs and Ahadith relating Muhammad’s comments about Orthodox Judaism, and religion in general, prefigure the thinking of Reform Rabbis some 12-13 centuries later. Had the Jews of Medina been more open to his teachings, Reform Judaism would have started almost 14 centuries ago. Of the 13 million Jews in the world today, the majority, both in Israel and throughout the world, are no longer Orthodox.

The largest denomination of non-Orthodox Jews in the US and Canada, where over 6 million Jews live, is the Reform movement. As a Reform Rabbi, I offer a neo-Hassidic gloss of Razi’s opinion that Abraham was unique and exceptional by becoming himself a model spiritual-religious community. Thus, Abraham was willing to sacrifice his own life in Nimrod’s fire (Qur’an 21:68-71 and oral tradition in both Jewish, Christian, and Muslim sources); and also, after waiting for so many years until he finally had two sons. Abraham risked the terrible loss of a beloved son, not once but twice, because he had full trust in God.

Indeed, because Abraham had reached this level of religious consciousness he could be tested and would become an excellent example for all mankind. For rising up above ‘functional benefits’ religion, Abraham became the first prophet to establish an ongoing religious community among his immediate descendants: Jews who were believers; then by spiritual adoption – Christians who were believers; and last by reversion – Muslims who were believers.

As the Qur’an states: “God said I will surely make you the leader of humanity and Abraham asked ‘What about my offspring?’ God replied, ‘My pledge does not apply to those who do evil” (2:124). This was the legacy that Abraham be-quested to his sons as did Jacob when he said: “My sons, (who will become the Jewish community) God has chosen for you this way of life” (2:132)  

All three religions inherit the blessing of Abraham (2:134-137) and for all three religions the blessing applies to their respective believers but does not include those individuals who refuse to submit to the will of God as reflected in the prophet and book they were given (2:124). Thus, in all three communities, there are some who do not attain a level of spiritual consciousness and awareness that transcends the basic ‘heavenly help’ of literal reward and punishment for orthodox dogma and rule keeping. Those who do reach the level of Abraham, the friend of God, need to keep others from leading the community astray.

Christian, Jewish, and Muslim religious leaders should all learn humility from the excellent example of Prophet Abraham and we should all teach this humility to our followers. Then God’s blessing “I will make you (Abraham) an imam for all people.” (Qur’an 2:124  & Genesis 22:17-18) will be fulfilled.

Judaic Indoctrination of American Christians

The fateful question now is whether we, the rest of American Christians, would turn the other cheek to suffer more Talmudic abuse, or do what Jesus did: whip these Talmudists moneychangers out of our churches and completely out of our life!

During my 36 years living in the U.S. I have noticed a systematic graduating process of Judaic brainwashing and indoctrination of American Christians. The American Zionist Jewish elite; the Chabad Lubavitch Talmudic Rabbis, had controlled American financial banking system through the Zionist privately owned Federal Reserve, had controlled American economy, controlled American media outlets; newspapers, radio and TV stations, internet and social media outlets, controlled the American educational system, controlled major industries, owned and manipulated American military complexes, manipulated Congressmen and even presidents through bribery and/or extortion, dictated American internal and foreign policies, and recently in the final stages are alienating American Christians from their faith and indoctrinating them into camouflaged Judaic tradition.

I had visited different denomination Christian churches, and there are so many of them. In a seven miles stretch street close to my neighborhood I counted seventeen different churches. Religion is a very profitable business. Attending the service one rarely hears sermons about Jesus’ real teachings. If any, they talk about Jesus’ life and miracles. The majority of the sermons concentrate on the Old Testament, Abraham’s interaction with God, the God’s Jewish chosen people, the exodus, Moses and his ten commandments (actually there are more than 600 commandments; Exodus 20 – 23), the Jewish violent wars against indigenous inhabitants of Palestine, and the urge to bless Israel, God’s chosen, favorite and beloved people, so that one can avoid God’s wrath and gain His blessings. Worst of all is when you encounter an invited Jewish Rabbi in the church to teach Christian goyims about God’s chosen people and God’s Promised Land.

Talking to some of the congregation after service one can discover how deep this indoctrination is to the point where many believe that God is joining forces with the present Israeli state in its wars against Arabs. I was so astonished to discover that these congregations, some of who are scientists and teachers, lose all logical thinking when they, claiming that God is love, believe that God loves only the Jews. Other nations are not loved by God, but, as Jewish Rabbis claim, goyim are created only to serve the Jews. They fail to conceive the prejudice, the racism and the Jewish supremacism in this pagan concept.

What is more amazing is the utter ignorance of the Christian priests of the real Christian teachings they claim to preach. Approaching some of them with questions such as why do we celebrate Christmas with a tree, what is the duality of human nature, what does the Holy Trinity really mean, or simpler questions such as why did Jesus describe himself at times as “the son of God” and other times as “the son of Man”, one would discover how utterly ignorant these priests are.  All what they know is how to perform rituals ignorant to what these rituals signify. The blind leads the blind. 

The U.S. is littered with pseudo-Christian churches, organizations, television channels, internet websites and schools, whose covert goal is to brainwash and pacify American Christians. The most effective of these are the Philos Project, Christian Zionists, and Christians United for Israel (CUFI) among many others such as Baptist televangelist Pat Robertson, televangelist Jerry Falwell, and Pentecostal televangelist Jimmy Swaggart. The stated mission of the Philos Project includes “educating Christians on the theological, historical, and political issues surrounding Israel and the Jewish people.” Christian Zionism is merely a Jewish political organization who keeps asking American Christians to finance Israel’s wars to achieve salvation through the rapture/Armageddon. CUFI’s executive director is aZionist Jew; David Brog, the cousin of former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, and its front façade is preacher John Haggee, who would not stop defending Israel and calling for nuclear wars against Iran.  These pseudo-Christian institutions are financed by Zionist Jewish organizations such as American Jewish Committee, the Anti-Defamation League, the American Jewish Congress, and the AIPAC.

These same Jewish organizations have waged a religious war against Christianity in the U.S. They had financed and sponsored numerous lawsuits, and were successful, in banning Christian religious symbols displays on public land, federal institutions, and public schools citing the “Separation of state and Church” that actually meant to prevent the American government, basically Christian since its establishment, from favoring one Christian denomination over the other. So, erecting Christmas tree or cross; symbols of love and peace, at the White House is banned, but the erection of the largest Jewish menorah; the symbol of war and destruction, was allowed across the White House. The Zionist controlled media was also successful in turning “Merry Christmas” greetings into “happy holidays”, “Christmas holiday” into “winter holiday” and the word “Christmas” into “Xmas”; the letter “X” meaning deleted.

These Zionist Talmudic Jews and their pseudo-Christian institutions are indoctrinating American Christians with false beliefs such as that Jesus was a Jew or a Rabbi when he was really a revolutionary Palestinian Essene. The Jews as God’s chosen people and Palestine as his promised land to only the Jews, plus obtaining God’s blessings by blessing the Jews and the state of Israel are prominent beliefs these institutions emphasize. They pacify Americans through teachings such as “love your enemy”, “turn the other cheek”, “forgive those who trespassed against you”, “salvation through suffering”, and “only the meek shall inherit heavenly kingdom”. The meaningless belief of “Judeo-Christianity” has spread among American Christians. It is meant to deceive Christians into believing that Judaism is the root of Christianity, and Jews are Christians’ elder brothers.

The fact, that many Americans are ignorant of, is that Jesus and his Christianity is Judaism’s number one enemy. This hatred and enmity are emphasized in their religious books, in their literature, in their culture, in their celebrations, in their entertainment, and in their educational systems. Jewish hatred of Jesus is nursed to their children through television. Israeli television creates entertainment insulting Jesus and mother Mary. Jewish entertainer Sarah Silverman, who gets the Hollywood red carpet, entertains her cheering and laughing audience with her wish to kill Christ again. Their religious teachings describe Jesus as sexually immoral and his mother as a harlot. To fathom the depth of Talmudic Jewish hatred of Jesus one needs to read “Jesus in the Talmud”; a book written by a Jew Peter Schafer; a professor of Judaic study of department of religion in Princeton University.  This enmity is also found in their religious book “The Mishneh Torah” written by Moses Maimonides one of the foremost rabbinical arbiters and philosophers in Jewish history. This Mishneh teaches that it is a “mitzvah” (religious duty) to eradicate Jewish enemies such as Jesus of Nazareth and his students.

A very important fact to recognize is that modern Judaism is merely a disguised extension of the ancient sexual and fertility pagan cult of god El/Ba’al/Yahweh. According to the Old Testament this is a terrorist, warmongering, jealous, furious, and homeless god, who demands his people to build him a home; temple. In ancient times, every tribe had its own god and called itself god’s people. Isra-el (people of El) is an inheritance from old times. Ba’al is a Hebrew word that means man/husband. This El/Ba’al/Yahweh god had a consort/wife known as Ashera/Astarte according to ancient Hebrew inscription found on 8^th century BCE pottery dug out in the archaeological sites of Kuntilet Ajrud and Khirbet el-Kom in Palestine.

The Biblical scholar and theologian Thomas L. Thompson mentions in his book “The Mythic Past” page 170, that Asherah, also known as Shekinah and the Queen of Heaven, is the consort and beloved of Yahweh and the wife of El or Ba’al (Man husband). Jewish writer Raphael Patai gives similar description in her book “The Hebrew Goddess”.

Biblical Archeology Review quoted Israeli paper Ha’aretz Magazine of October 1999 wrote the following:“It will come as an unpleasant shock to many that the God of Israel, YHWH, had a female consort and that the early Israelite religion adopted monotheism only in the waning period of the monarchy and not at Mount Sinai.”

The goddess Queen of Heaven is also mentioned many times in the Old Testament. One example is Jeremiah 44: 15-17 when the Jews living in Egypt answered Jeremiah saying: “We will not listen to you! We will burn incense to the Queen of Heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem.”

Talmudists and their terrorist tool the state of Israel are “The Anti-Christ”, who is intent on destroying the whole goyim world starting in the Middle East in order to establish their satanic Jewish cult of El/Ba’al/Yahweh. Jews hate and look down at all non-Jews/gentiles/goyims. Jewish chief Rabbis describe gentiles as cattle created in the human form only to serve the Jews. This Judaic anti-Christian war was jump started immediately after the establishment of Israel in 1948. Palestinian Christian churches and communities, such as in Nazareth and Haifa, were viciously attacked routinely by extremist Jews. The worst outbreak of organized desecration of Christian properties and churches took place in September 1963, when hundreds of religiously extremist ultra-orthodox vigilante group, called the Society of Activists of the Torah Camp (Hever Peelei Hamahane Hatorati), orchestrated simultaneous attacks on Christian missions and schools in Jerusalem, Haifa and Jaffa cities.

This Jewish anti-Christian hatred and attacks are still going on at the present in the Holy Land. Even Israeli newspapers, such as Haaretz, reported this hatred. Under the title of “Christians in Jerusalem want Jews to stop spitting on them” the paper reported “According to Archbishop Manougian in Jerusalem: The Israeli government is anti-Christian.  Christian priests and nuns are being spat on every day by Jews in Jerusalem, Christian churches are being burnt and vandalized routinely.”

The Israeli “Tikun Olam” gave an example of Israeli hatred against Christians last month just before Christmas. Under the title of “Israeli war on Christmas and Christianity” their website reported that Bentzi Gopstein; leader of Jewish fascist group Lehava; financed by Israeli government and by extremist Jewish organizations, is calling for the ethnic cleansing of all Christians and Palestinians from occupied Palestine.

Through the many pro-Zionist American organizations, numerous pseudo-religious radio stations, Judeo-Christian TV stations, and multi Zionist Christian newspapers, Zionist Talmudists had successfully brainwashed and indoctrinated almost 40 million American Christians. Americans are living under the mercy of the Jewish usury banking system, have become consumers rather than producers, turned into nonsensical Judeo-Christians, accepted homosexuality as the norms, and enthusiastically became Jewish proxy soldiers fighting Israel’s wars.

The fateful question now is whether we, the rest of American Christians, would turn the other cheek to suffer more Talmudic abuse, or do what Jesus did: whip these Talmudists moneychangers out of our churches and completely out of our life!
