A senior Iranian Sunni cleric has hailed the Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei as the axis of unity in the world of Islam and among the Iranian nation.

Molavi Es’haq Madani, the head of the Supreme Council at World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, said in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) that the enemies targeted the peak of unity in order to infiltrate among the nation and undermine its solidarity.
Referring to the position of the Leader in the 12-day imposed war, Molavi Madani stated: "In Islam, the leader has a special position, and that the Islamic nation and Muslims have special respect for this very valuable position."
Malavi Madani added: "The high position of the leader and his rank among Muslims are so valuable and respected that if this position is insulted and sometimes attacked by any party or person, it will be responded to with all might."
This Sunni scholar clarified,” Insulting the leader is actually an insult to Islam and its followers. The leader is the symbol of a nation, and insulting him is an insult to the religion and customs of that nation. Therefore, Muslims of all faiths and even non-Muslims living in our beloved Iran are not willing to insult or attack the Leader.”
The head of the Supreme Council of the Proximity Assembly admitted: "Enemies were constantly seeking to create sedition and threatened to assassinate the Leader of the Islamic Revolution. Certainly, these kinds of absurd measures will not come to a result."
Molavi Madani concluded, "They know that the Leader of the Revolution is the axis of unity of the Islamic world and the noble nation of Iran. In order to weaken this cohesion and unity, they have set their sights on the peak of this unity so that they can penetrate and create distance within the body of the Iranian nation."
