A prominent Indian Muslim scholar has differentiated the views of the Israeli regime and those of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding war and defense.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Zeinulabedin, said in an interview, that the concept of war in Iran’s culture is interwoven with the ideas like resistance, devotion, justice and martyrdom, Taqrib News Agency (TNA) reported Hawza News as saying.
He referred to the Battle of Karbala in 680 A.D., where Imam Hussein (AS) the third Shia Imam was martyred, as the role model and the inspiration for literature, arts and the resistance diplomacy in Iran saying,” Here in Iran war is a symbol of resistance against oppression and defending the right.”
The cleric added,” On the other hand though, Israel follows warfare as inevitable for survival of the Zionist ideology and oppression of others”.
According to the Indian scholar, while in Iran children are brought up knowing the concepts of “martyrdom”, “defenders of the shrine” and “values of sacred defense”, the regime in Tel Aviv has mandated military training for its nationals since their adolescence.”
Hujjat-ul-Islam Zeinulabedin continued,” The Israeli view on warfare has made the major ground for its policies that has the existence of Zionism at its core.
When asked if a cultural approach to warfare could prevent achieving peace, he said,” If warfare is considered as undisputable, then undoubtedly it will hinder the path towards achieving peace. Though, if the same culture stresses justice, humanity and ethics as its objectives, then it can pave the way for peace.”
The interview with Indian cleric and researcher was conducted in the wake of Israeli aggression against different Iranian cities that lasted for 12 days targeting nuclear scientists, military facilities and also the residential buildings across the country.
The Israeli atrocities prompted retaliatory attacks from the Islamic Republic with the third phase of the Operation True Promise III.
