Syria is all set to hold presidential elections next month as further proof of the popularity of the government of President Bashar al-Assad among the country’s grateful Sunni Muslim majority which would most certainly give its vote again for the Ophthalmologist whose prudent leadership has saved the homeland from the most macabrely murderous terrorists backed by the western powers and their oil rich Arab surrogates.
Last Wednesday, the presidential hopefuls including Dr. Assad filed their papers and in the coming days the final list of candidates will be announced, much to the chagrin of the US, which is the number one enemy of the Syrian people and in a vain bid to dislodge the legal government of Syria has occupied the oil fields of the Deir az-Zore region after using its proxies to destroy thriving towns and cities over the past ten years.
A total of 51 candidates have registered themselves and now it is the duty of Syria’s constitutional court to probe their background including loyalty to the country before announcing the list of the eligible.
If elected, President Bashar al-Assad, who took charge of the country in 2000 following the death of his father Hafez Assad, will at the helm of affairs as the elected leader of Syria for another 7-year term.
Syria’s stability and the proper functioning of its government in the face of a devastating war is not only indebted to the Syrian people and the national army – overwhelming Sunni Muslim – but to the tried and tested friend of the Syrian people, the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as to Lebanon’s legendry anti-terrorist movement, the Hezbollah, and of course, to the timely help from Russia.
We salute the memory of Martyr Qassem Soleimani for his foresight and deft diplomacy which saved Syria from disintegration. If not for his timely advice for President Assad in mobilizing the armed forces on the battlefields for determined action, the Takfiris and the Zionists, with the backing of the US and the treasonous Arab regimes, would have taken control of Syria, to the detriment of the Syrian people, and the genuine interests of all regional people, including Iran.
This is the reason the US and its comrades-in-crimes are raving and ranting over Syria’s coming elections following the failure of their state terrorism in Syria, which is frequently targeted by the aircraft and missiles of the illegal Zionist entity in a bid to cause misery to the people and undermine their economy.
Unfortunately, these American and Israeli crimes are ignored by the UN, which is supposed to be a representative body of world countries, supporting the integrity of all member states, but in the case of Syria, under pressure from the powers that control it, the Security Council has adopted a hostile attitude in a bid to interfere in the internal affairs of the country on the pretext of a political solution.
Thus, the advice to the UN and its Security Council by the Syria people is loud and clear.
Please keep your hands off Syria. The Assad family has given us over fifty years of political stability and saved us from a war, coupled with deceitful diplomacy of the West, to impose upon us takfirism and American imperialism. We know our friends from foes, and with their aid we will definitely rebuild our country for the cherished goal of liberating not just our Golan Heights but all Palestine from the tentacles of the Zionists – of course, with action on the battlefields, as tribute to the soul of Martyr Soleimani, since the so-called diplomatic efforts have proved to be utterly detrimental to our interests and that of our friends.
