NOURNEWS - During the past few days, news was raised in the field of stopping the voluntary implementation of the Additional Protocol by Iran, which created ambiguities about the nature of these decisions and necessitated explanations in this regard.
Yesterday's statement of the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council put an end to the atmosphere and ambiguities created during the last week and while explaining the nature of Iran's decision, provided a more accurate understanding of our country's approach in this regard.
In a situation where the agreement between Iran and the IAEA was a conduit and after that agreement has expired, the resolution of Iran's Parliament, including the issue of "voluntary cessation of the implementation of the Additional Protocol", will continue without any compromise and any access to the Islamic Republic's nuclear sites and activities has been suspended.
The new decision of the Islamic Republic of Iran does not mean the extension of the agreement that expired three months ago, but a unilateral decision that the country has taken with the aim of providing the necessary opportunity for progress and the conclusion of bilateral negotiations with the IAEA.
In any possible agreement on the revival of JCPOA, the wrong practices formed under pressure from the West in the interaction between the IAEA and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the illegal sanctions imposed by them, must be eliminated.
If, within one month, an agreement is reached to rectify the above-mentioned incorrect procedures and the negotiations on the issues of settlement and sanctions progress and continue, the previous agreement with the Director-General of the Agency may be revived.
