Washington’s bases across the region have been battered, and around a dozen soldiers have been killed during the war so far

A 52–40 majority of respondents agreed with the statement “Trump launched the war on Iran at least in part to distract from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.”
The other eight percent said they were unsure.
According to the poll, the belief is most prominently held by Democrats, who agree by an 81–14 margin. Respondents under the age of 45 believe the statement by a majority of 66–26 percent.
The poll also asked respondents whether Trump was more loyal to Israel or the US. Forty-seven percent said he was more “responsive” to Israel, while 46 percent said he was more responsive to US citizens.
The poll also shows that half of independents believe Trump “prioritizes Israeli interests over Americans’.”
Seventeen percent of Republicans said the same, as did 75 percent of Democrats. Nearly 50 percent of voters said they felt the war would make their lives more difficult.
Forty-one percent also believe Trump is waging the war on behalf of Israel, not the US. The results of the Drop Site poll align with others recently conducted, including a Quinnipac poll from early this month showing that 53 percent of US citizens opposed military action in Iran.
So far, 12 US soldiers have died, and Washington’s bases across the region have been battered by Iran’s retaliatory strikes. Billions of dollars were spent in the first few days alone.
The brutal US-Israeli war on Iran comes only weeks after millions of Epstein-linked releases from the Department of Justice (DOJ).
Trump is mentioned thousands of times in the Epstein files. Documents released in January included allegations that the US president raped an underage girl.
A declassified FBI memo released on 30 January states that Trump was “compromised by Israel,” that Epstein was an Israeli intelligence agent, and that a Jewish religious movement, Chabad Lubavitch, had coopted Trump’s presidency.
