His killing by the Islamic resistance movement Hamas has dealt a severe blow to the zionist occupation forces’ plot to create divisions among Palestinians.
He was a despised figure even among his own tribe.
Following Abu Shabab’s elimination on December 4, Gaza’s Ministry of the Interior called on all those involved in criminal groups linked to Israel to surrender immediately to the security forces.
The ministry statement said his death “represents the inevitable fate of anyone who involves themselves with the occupation.”
The ministry also said it will carefully address the cases of those who surrender and reduce legal consequences for them.
Within 48 hours, dozens of zionist-backed and armed terrorists voluntarily handed themselves over to Hamas security forces in the Gaza Strip.
Even the Israeli media, citing Palestinian sources, confirmed this saying it was a major blow to the occupation’s project in Gaza.
The gangs were active in Rafah and Khan Younis.
While it will be inaccurate to state that every collaborator has been eliminated, Abu Shabab’s killing is a major blow.
Several points have emerged from his killing.
First, despite its hi-tech weapons and surveillance equipment, zionist Israel still needs human intelligence.
It even uses criminal gangs to advance its nefarious agenda.
These gang members not only provided human intelligence betraying their own people, they also carried out targetted assassinations of Hamas commanders.
Their other task was to locate Hamas tunnels.
They were then forced to go into the tunnels—something the genocidal zionist terrorists are too scared to do themselves—putting their lives at risk for a few shekels.
More importantly, what Abu Shabab’s elimination shows is that Hamas’ security infrastructure is intact and it is able to carry out sophisticated operations.
For Palestinians, Abu Shabab was a terrorist, a traitor and criminal who committed heinous crimes against his own people.
He and his gang used to rob Palestinians of their meagre resources.
The zionist occupiers also used them to steal the limited quantity of food they allowed into Gaza.
While depriving desperate Palestinian families from getting much needed food, water and medicines, the zionists accused Hamas of “stealing” food aid.
Aid agencies have said that zionist Israel is allowing less than one-third of food deliveries needed in Gaza.
This has resulted in famine-like conditions made worse by the massive rains in recent days.
These have flooded the make-shift tents and soaked the few belongings of Palestinian families.
Israel’s killing of Palestinians continues despite the so-called ceasefire that supposedly went into effect on October 11, 2025.
More than 360 Palestinians have been murdered by zionist occupation forces and nearly 1,000 injured in the nearly two-month period.
The zionist plan, backed by US president Donald Trump, is to ethnically cleanse Gaza.
This is to be achieved by making life so miserable for Palestinians that they would want to flee the tiny enclave.
So far, they have resisted this US-zionist plot despite facing extreme hunger, cold and the ever-present danger of getting killed.
Officially, more than 70,000 Palestinians have been murdered by zionist Israel since October 2023.
The actual death toll is much higher, perhaps four or five times more than what is officially reported.
