Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari stresses
The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought highlighted importance of boosting an Islamic army in face of the world arrogant powers.

He noted the role of all Islamic governments in establishing popular mobilization forces to resist the enemy attacks.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari said strengthening Islamic armies to confront global arrogance is a key priority in building a new Islamic civilization.
He explained that founding an Islamic Ummah requires certain essentials, one of which is a resistance‑based mobilization.
According to the cleric the first mission of the resistance-based mobilization is the eradication of poverty in Islamic societies adding,” The second is ensuring that members of such mobilization forces possess knowledge of holy Qur’an, Islamic principles and ethics, enabling them to resist global arrogance with faith and understanding.”
Shahriari noted that these features, alongside military mobilization, are necessary to counter attempts by global arrogance to sow discord within Islamic nations.
He warned that enemies seek to divide Muslims and pit them against one another to advance their schemes, and therefore resistance forces must be prepared to confront such plots.
Highlighting the available models, Shahriari pointed to Iran’s Basij (Mobilization voluntary forces) as a successful example that inspired similar movements in Iraq, Lebanon and Syria.
He concluded that this model of popular mobilization should be adopted across all Islamic countries saying, “Governments must establish such forces with reliance on their people to pave the way for a unified Islamic government, a new Islamic civilization, and an Islamic union capable of resisting enemy attacks and global arrogance”.
