Malaysian Islamic coalition stresses
MAPIM stresses that Ayatollah Khamenei’s worldview is not abstract philosophy but a lived experience grounded in sacrifice. His approach to freedom, humanity and justice offers a clear moral compass at a time of deep global crisis.

In a reaction to the Leader’s speech, the Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) issued a message to underline some key points in the speech among them necessity of action in face of enemies, resistance a form of human dignity and also necessity of unity among the oppressed.
The full text of the message by MAPIM President, Sheikh Azmi Abdul Hamid is as follows:
MAPIM Highlights Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s Enduring Vision of Freedom and Humanity Amid Global Injustice
The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (MAPIM) draws urgent attention to the profound thoughts of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on freedom and humanity. His long historical struggle, beginning with his early interaction and close companionship with Imam Khomeini, offers critical guidance for a world facing escalating oppression, particularly in Gaza.
Ayatollah Khamenei’s commitment to human dignity was forged through years of resistance against the Shah’s authoritarian regime. As a young scholar in Mashhad, he was deeply shaped by Imam Khomeini’s fearless stand against tyranny. His repeated arrests, torture and surveillance never derailed him from the belief that freedom must always be rooted in moral responsibility and justice. This legacy now forms a core intellectual foundation for many global liberation movements.
Today, as Gaza continues to face relentless bombardment and blockade, Ayatollah Khamenei’s insights ring loudly. He consistently reminds the world that freedom detached from ethics becomes an instrument of exploitation, and that the true measure of humanity is the willingness to defend the oppressed even under immense pressure.
MAPIM affirms three central themes from his leadership that remain vital to our current moment:
1. Humanity Requires Action, Not Silence
Ayatollah Khamenei teaches that compassion without courage is inadequate. The suffering of the Palestinian people demands moral firmness from the global community. Silence in the face of genocide is complicity.
2. Resistance is a Form of Human Dignity
His decades of resistance have shaped a worldview where the oppressed reclaim their dignity through steadfastness. The Palestinian resistance mirrors this moral principle, as communities defend their right to live with honor.
3. Unity of the Oppressed is Essential
Ayatollah Khamenei often warns that division is a tool of global arrogance. MAPIM echoes this call for unity. The fragmentation of the Muslim world only benefits those who seek to dominate and destabilize nations resisting injustice.
MAPIM stresses that Ayatollah Khamenei’s worldview is not abstract philosophy but a lived experience grounded in sacrifice. His approach to freedom, humanity and justice offers a clear moral compass at a time of deep global crisis.
As the genocide in Gaza reaches catastrophic levels, MAPIM urges world leaders, international organizations and people of conscience to embrace these principles of moral responsibility
• defend the oppressed
• reject hypocrisy in human rights discourse
• dismantle structures of domination
• uphold the dignity of all peoples
• push for an immediate halt to the assault on Gaza
MAPIM reiterates its unwavering commitment to stand with the oppressed and defend universal human dignity. We call upon nations to act decisively, guided by the conviction that justice is the foundation of true humanity and that freedom must be defended with moral integrity and unity.
