Yet Another Mockery of the Nobel Peace Prize

The naming of a Venezuelan traitor and disruptor of peace in her homeland on behalf of the warmongering US as recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize for 2025 did not come as a surprise, especially in view of Maria Corina Machado’s support for Israel’s 2-year long genocide in Gaza.

The Nobel Committee has long deviated from the ideals and goals of the inventor of dynamite, Sweden’s Alfred Bernhard Nobel, who realizing the misuse of his explosive invention dedicated his wealth to the promotion of humanitarian values in different fields, such as chemistry, physics, medicine, literature, and peace.

Since March 1901, last named has been awarded annually (with glaring politicized exceptions as the current one) to people who have supposedly “done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses”.

No wonder, the so-called Venezuelan opposition leader is now at the center of controversy over her criminal support for the illegal Zionist entity and her open calls for foreign intervention in her country.

It is indeed unfortunate of the Nobel Committee and a mockery of peace to hail Machado as a “champion of peace and democracy”.

The Committee Chair Jorgen Watne Frydnes soon became butt of criticism worldwide, with many pointing to Machado’s statements backing Israel and the mass murderer Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party, castigating her of supporting the genocide in Gaza.

Bjornar Moxnes, a Norwegian lawmaker, noted that Machado had signed a cooperation document with Likud in 2020, saying this “makes the award inconsistent with Nobel’s purpose,” especially in view of this traitorous women of Venezuela calling racist/terrorist Israel “a genuine ally of freedom.”

Machado has also been criticized for a 2018 letter to Israel urging to support the US goal of establishing hegemony over Venezuela by overthrowing the elected government of her own country.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) also condemned the selection, calling it a mischievous move that “undermines the Nobel Committee’s reputation.”

Machado capped her controversial and undeserving selection by dedicating the so-called peace prize given to her to the notorious villain of peace, US president, Donald Trump.

The Islamic Republic very well remembers how the Peace Prize Committee had insulted the Iranian people in 2003 by awarding a treasonous lawyer named Shirin Ebadi this prestigious prize.

Before that it had also given the Nobel Peace Prize to such enemies of peace and humanitarian values as the bloodthirsty Zionist criminals Yitzhak Rabin and Shimon Peres, as well as the crafty and unprincipled US naturalized German Jew, Henry Kissinger, on whose awarding two members of the selection committee resigned in protest.
