Egyptian reciter slams media promoting anti-Iran propaganda

A prominent Egyptian reciter has warned against the media that project a distorted image of Iran stressing that what he witnessed was a country full of social vitality and Qur’anic programs.

Mustafa Ahmed Abdrabou, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) hailed the enthusiasm of the Iranians in Kurdistan province, which was hosting the 48th national Qur’an competitions, for the holy book of Islam.

He referred to more than a dozen countries he visited for attending the international Qur’an competitions saying he had not seen such glorious welcoming for Qur’anic gatherings.

Regarding his visit to Iran, he said the trip changed his view on the country which was so far based on the inaccurate image some media provide about Iran and said,” What I saw was a religious vitality, social peace and various Qur’anic programs.”

Abd Rabou condemned the hostile media that promote Iranophobia in an attempt to expand a negative image of the country while the Iranian nation has proved itself as pious, modest and fascinated by holy Qur’an.
