
TEHRAN, (MNA) – Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani says that Iran is a significant and influential country, emphasizing that it has to be treated with respect and through direct dialogue.
He pointed to ISIL terrorist group in Iraq, noting that ISIL is no longer a major threat in Iraq.
According to the estimates of the Iraqi Defense Ministry, 400 to 500 ISIL members are at borders of Syria and northeastern Iraq.
Iran is an influential country, and cooperation with it should take place through direct discussions, Iraqi premier emphasized.
Iraq attaches great importance to its relations with Iran in all fields, he added.
