The Palestinian people are paying the price for the Arab nation’s survival

As usual, the Zionists have not kept to the terms of their signed agreements; they break their promises almost as soon as they make them. After reaching a ceasefire agreement that he and his far-right government had pushed for and for the sake of which they submitted to the terms of the Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, Benjamin Netanyahu tore the agreement up and resumed his military offensive against the Gaza Strip.

He had already signalled his intent by blocking all humanitarian aid from entering the enclave, a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement. And then he sent his air force in again and killed hundreds of Palestinians within a few hours before bombing the hospitals to which the wounded and dead had been taken. It was yet another criminal act committed by this mad man and his far-right gang of thugs against the steadfast Palestinians in Gaza, killing children and their mothers, fathers and neighbours. The Zionist occupation state’s genocide in Gaza is the worst in recent history.

The prime minister of the occupation state is clearly trying to compensate for his failure to achieve his stated goals in the Gaza genocide, to score political Brownie points for himself and stave off his prosecution for corruption. He wants to continue to destroy whatever semblance of democracy remains in the Zionist state and impose the far-right agenda of the Religious Zionism parties in his coalition. We can expect to see even more extreme Jewish nationalism making its appearance. He also wants to gain the upper hand to impose new conditions on the Palestinians.

Netanyahu is trying to evade his agreed obligation under the ceasefire agreement to end the war and withdraw his troops from Gaza — hence his refusal to negotiate on the agreed second phase of the agreement — as well as take advantage of the cover and unlimited support from the US to continue his brutal aggression. He will also take advantage of the Arab inability, or rather complicity, and failure to stop his aggression and massacres.

To what extent will he succeed? To what extent will the world allow him to succeed with his murderous ambitions?

Netanyahu and his repulsive gang are trying to turn the battle in their favour, but without realising it, they will find themselves hastening its end in favour of the Palestinians, and bringing about the end of the Zionist occupation of Palestine. Time will tell.

The criminal Netanyahu and his far-right henchmen (and women) have ignored the steadfastness of the Palestinian people. Their failure to destroy Hamas after a year and a half of the biggest and most sustained bombardment that the world has ever seen, and have failed to crush the Palestinian people. He has been even more arrogant and defiant than usual in seeking to hide this fact, hence the resumption of the bombs and killing of civilians. But he will never succeed. He will not be able to eliminate Hamas; how can you destroy an ideology based on unshakeable faith? Nor will he be able to bring the Palestinians to their knees and force them to surrender. All of his predecessors since the establishment of the usurping Zionist entity in 1948 have tried to do so and failed. Palestine and its people remain steadfast as a constant reminder of Israel’s original sin: it was created on the back of terrorism and ethnic cleansing, and has employed both to sustain itself ever since.

The Palestinians have not forgotten this — how could they?

The younger generations have, over the years, been passed the keys to their long-destroyed homes in the towns and villages that the occupation state has wiped off the map, and they continue the struggle for justice and freedom. Despite the awful price and enormous sacrifices made by the Palestinian people, they remain determined to resist the occupation state, as is their right under international law, “including armed struggle”. The option of a peaceful settlement and the deceptive Oslo Accords, from which they gained nothing but an authority that collaborates with the occupation security forces and the steady loss of more of their land, has seen them left — in theory — with just 22 per cent of historical Palestine, and even that is getting less every day.

I am not exaggerating when I say that the ability of the Palestinian people and the resistance groups to stand firm in the face of the brutal Zionist aggression, and their refusal to bow down to Washington, is what will decide the fate of the Arab nation. I am confident that they will stand firm and will not allow America or Netanyahu to determine the “new” Middle East that they are promoting.

To the rulers and the Zionist Arab regimes that are colluding with the occupation enemy I say this: Gaza is paying the price for the Arab nation’s survival with the blood of its people. They are defending the honour of the nation that your collaboration and treachery have wasted and crushed into the dirt.
