Iran's strategic policy in the Gaza war

In a note, Kayhan discussed the report of the Agene France-Presse (AFP) and wrote: Iran does not show its policy on the expansion of the Gaza war and warns Israel and the United States every day and issues threats against them.

Iran determines its strategy on the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas in secret, so that its main enemies, namely Israel and the United States, as well as the international community, are constantly forced to guess its motives and goals. According to some experts inside and outside the Islamic Republic, it is considering all options for this war to adapt itself to the movements. Currently, Iran does not want to get directly involved in the war between Israel and Hamas and limits its entire action to warning about the opening of new fronts of conflict against Israel by the Lebanese Hezbollah or other forces under the title of "Axis of Resistance". It is still impossible to predict the Iranian government's reaction, but if a regional war starts and the parties involved in the war target Tehran's interests, Iran will have to react.

Shargh: Iran remains on the FATF blacklist

Shargh devoted its headline to keeping Iran on the FATF blacklist and said: In the latest report on the status of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the FATF (the Financial Action Task Force ) declared that Iran submitted a report in July 2023 in which it did not see any significant changes in the status of the country's action plan. Therefore, the intergovernmental body continues to insist on its call for taking countermeasures against Iran and asks all members and jurisdictions to increase their level of caution in dealings and apply countermeasures to protect the international financial system from risks. Of course, this decision of the special financial action group was predictable, because not long ago, following speculations about Iran's desire to solve the problems of joining the standard-setting body, the Ministry of Economy officially declared that there has been no change in our country's policy towards the FATF, and the Islamic Republic of Iran operates based on its own internal laws regarding money laundering.

Iran: Supporters of unrest in Iran are supporters of infanticide in Gaza

In an analysis, the Iran newspaper analyzed the reports by foreign-based Farsi language media outlets on the conflicts in the occupied territories. It wrote: The fact is that the media can be divided into two general categories: "supporters of infanticide and supporters of the defenseless children of Gaza". The media affiliated with Israel and Western governments have chosen a path against conscience and human emotions, and by using media techniques, they are defending the oppressor and condemning the oppressed. For example, the BBC Persian channel affiliated with the British spy agency has been trying to show a tarnished image of the people of Gaza over the last week such as "Gaza people's attack on the storage warehouse and theft from the warehouses". While the Farsi-language media of the enemy have concentrated all their efforts on opening a new psychological war front against Iran, they have supported the inhumane actions of the Zionist regime in Gaza; however, they failed both in terms of creating chaos inside and supporting Israel's crimes, and the result was nothing but deepening people's mistrust and hatred of them.

Hamshahri: America's insolent message to Iran about Gaza war

In a commentary, Hamshahri addressed the continued U.S. government's claims of Iran's "complicit role" in the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation. The paper said: The strategic communications coordinator of the U.S. National Security Council again tried to blame Iran for targeting the U.S. soldiers and military bases in the region, saying that Washington intends to send a "strong deterrent message" to Iran.
According to John Kirby, the U.S. must make sure that it conveys this message not only to Iran but to all actors that “we’re taking it (national interests) very, very seriously”. The U.S. will continue to “defend ourselves”. In this regard, Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs noted that the Islamic Republic has not sent new forces either to Syria or to other parts of the region. But, he added, Iran is not just an “observer” of the movements, and that it will act based on “its national interests”. The U.S. military presence in the region under the claim of providing maritime security, helping fight terrorism, and aiding regional countries to meet their security needs has proven ineffective. The bloody carnage in Gaza is an example that proves such claims are futile.
