TEHRAN – Spokesman for Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps Brigadier General Ramezan Sharif announced on Saturday that Tehran is keeping a close eye on U.S. bases in the West Asia region.
Sharif made the remarks during an interview with Lebanon’s Al Mayadeen news channel.
“Washington is the primary supporter of the Zionist regime and has created an air bridge for sending military equipment and terrifying bombs to the Zionist regime,” said the spokesman, warning that the continuation of mass killings in Gaza will eventually cause Muslims around the world to lose their patience.
“The supporters of the Zionist regime should be aware that there are some hands that cannot reach this regime but can reach the American forces that are managing this war,” he noted.
The spokesman’s remarks come as several U.S. bases in Iraq and Syria have come under fire by resistance groups in recent days. Iranian officials have repeatedly warned that relentless Israeli crimes against Palestinians are sure to provoke a strong response from regional forces.
