TEHRAN PAPERS
Siasat-e-Rooz devoted its editorial to the words of U.S. Secretary of Secretary Blinken at the UN Security Council meeting. It wrote: Addressing a UN Security Council meeting on Tuesday, Blinken said, "The United States does not seek conflict with Iran.
" He added, "We do not want this war to widen. But if Iran or its proxies attack US personnel anywhere, make no mistake: We will defend our people, we will defend our security, swiftly and decisively."
Blinken is trying to introduce Iran as the main pillar of the war to justify the crimes of the Zionist regime. However, as it has been acknowledged, Iran had no role in the Gaza war, and the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation was purely a Palestinian act. While Blinken has said it in necessary to confront Iran and its allies, what has been formed as popular resistance forces in certain regional countries - from Iraq and Syria to Lebanon and Yemen - is primarily based on the principle to confront the American hegemony and Zionist regime’s occupation, and the Islamic Republic serves a role model and supporter for them. However, Iran neither orders them nor stops them from doing something.
Vatan-e-Emooz: Iran and the railway intersection
In a note, Vatan-e-Emrooz addressed the 22nd Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Member States in Kyrgyzstan. It wrote: A high-ranking Iranian delegation departed to Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, with the focus of meeting counterparts in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and following the process of establishing the North-South and East-West corridors. Following the agreement of the senior officials of Iran and Kyrgyzstan, the transport ministers were assigned to reach an understanding continue the negotiations to start a rail corridor from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Iran. With the creation of this rail corridor, Iran will become the focal point of intersection and connection of 2 East-West and North-South rail corridors. The most important issue is energy security, energy transit and the North-South corridor. Iran and Russia, as the largest owners of gas and oil reserves and members of the SCO, coupled with largest consumers such as India, the corridor provides a good opportunity to follow the energy transit line or gas transmission lines and export of technical-engineering services.
Hamshahri: America's repeated messages to Iran
In its headline, Hamshahri addressed the repeated messages from America to Iran. It wrote: In messages, President Joe Biden has declared to Iran that his country will react if resistance groups continue targeting American bases in the region. The messages included two main points; first, the U.S. claims in these messages that it does not seek to expand the war in the region, and secondly, it asks Iran and the resistance groups in the region to show self-restraint. The Islamic Republic of Iran has stated that the U.S. cannot provide military equipment to the Israeli regime in the attacks on Gaza and take command of the war on the one hand, and issue a political message and speak of his opposition to the expansion of the war on the other. Iran has also clearly said that the resistance groups in the region act independently and don’t take orders from Tehran for their decisions.
Javan: Iran’s powerful return to the Caucasus
In a note, Javan addressed the holding of the "3+3" format meeting in Tehran in the context of Caucasian developments. It said: This event means that diplomacy has reached the field line in the Caucasian policies and it shows that the countries of the Caucasus and its neighbors, concluded that no plan in this region will be implemented without Iran's participation. Considering the political differences between Moscow and Tbilisi and Turkey's historical hostility with Armenia, only Iran had the capacity to host the first meeting of the 3+3 foreign ministers. Also, Baku and Ankara did not like to play a role like Iran in the Caucasus. Iran's clear and hidden actions also promoted Tehran’s position the South Caucasus. With the declining status of Ankara-Baku lobbies in the region, coupled with the death of their deception strategy, Iran is intelligently monitoring the events and, if necessary, through pre-emptive measures, it will not only stop conspiracies, but will also start new processes to compensate for the mistakes.
