Tehran, IRNA – The Iranian bodybuilding team has won the champion of champions title in all 5 categories of the 56th International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation (IFBB) Asian Championships held in Beirut, Lebanon.
The Iranian athletes set historical records in the Asian Championships competitions and bagged 48 medals in all bodybuilding categories, including 27 gold medals, 14 silver, and 6 bronze medals.
The Iranian team was titled the champion of champions. They collected 438 points in various categories of the tournament.
Mohammad Mohammadi, Ahmadi Mehri, Ayyoub Basami, Matin Sirousi, and Mehdi Jaberi attained the overall champion title in the contests.
Bodybuilding teams from Iraq and Lebanon followed Iran in the event at Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand in Beirut.
The 56th International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation (IFBB) Asian Championships was held from August 25 to 27 in Lebanon.
