Iran president remarks reflected in Arab media

Tehran, IRNA – Remarks by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in a Tuesday press conference have been widely reflected in regional Arab media.

Most of these media selected Raisi’s reference to the defeat of the enemies in their efforts to isolate the Islamic Republic of Iran as the title of their reports.

A report by Aljazeera highlighted part of President Raisi’s speech in which he said that after the protests calmed in Iran, the Western countries expressed their readiness to return to negotiating table.  

Aljazeera also said that the Iranian president believed that Iran’s membership in the BRICS Group and Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) would reduce the US pressure on the country and help expand of Iranian economy.

The Palestinian Sama News also covered the press conference of President Raisi noting that the Iranian president has pledged not to make his country’s economy subject to the will of Europe and the US.

Al Mayadeen wrote about President Raisi’s remarks where he said that his administration will take back the Iranian assets through negotiations wherever they are.

Referring to the Iranian president’s desire for a visit to Japan, Al Mayadeen said that Raisi advised Japan to act independently and free from the US influence and not to freeze Iranian assets.
