TEHRAN (FNA)- Israeli spy satellite Ofek-16 is rotating around itself at high speed, an informed source said, noting that receiving high-quality images by the satellite is an untrue claim by Israeli officials.
Referring to the launch of the spying satellite Ofek-16 on July 6 by Israel, the source told FNA, “Despite the statements of the regime’s authorities on reception of images with high quality, the satellite is quite unstable and is spinning fast.”
On July 6, the Israeli regime announced that it had launched Ofek-16 with the aim of “Looking and Surveillance over the entire Middle East”, while the Israeli War Minister Benny Gantz, in a statement, described the move as a “Great Achievement for Defense Industries!”
“We will continue to strengthen and maintain Israel’s capabilities on every front, in every place,” Benny Gantz said, Reuters reported.
Israeli officials claimed that Ofek 16 is “an electro-optical reconnaissance satellite with advanced capabilities”.
The source further told FNA that “as for imaging satellites, having the least spinning causes failure in production of images and, with regard to the speedy spinning of this satellite, the claim of receiving high quality images is completely false and untrue”.
