Rabbi Dovid Feldman: Anti-Zionist Movement Getting Stronger Each Day

TEHRAN (FNA)- Rabbi Dovid Feldman, anti-Zionist Rabbi and event organizer, says protesters in the occupied lands affirm the belief that the community against the Israeli regime has become strong enough to make a threat to the existence of the regime.
In an exclusive interview with FNA, Rabbi Feldman said, “The demonstrators reveal the corruption behind the regime in Israel, showing that they are anti-Jewish and anti-Judaism […] they are oppressing the Jewish people themselves, whoever stands up against them.”

Rabbi Dovid Feldman is the Spokesman of the Orthodox Jews against Zionism, and Neturei Karta International. Neturei Karta is a religious group of Haredi Jews, formally created in al-Quds in 1938. Neturei Karta opposes Zionism and calls for a dismantling of the State of Israel, in the belief that Jews are forbidden to have their own state until the coming of the Jewish Messiah.

Below is the full text of the interview:

Q: Why are there more brutality incidents caused by Israeli security forces?

A: Brutality by security forces in Israel is not random. It happens all the time and on purpose. This is because there is a huge community who does not recognize the existence of the state of Israel in the holy land. We actually protest them, and they systematically oppress us. This goes on now for decades. Nothing of this is new. The only thing that is new is recently the incidents are more documented. It happens to be despite all the times the security forces try to prevent reports of such stories. They are still reported and documented and provided to the news outlets. People in the world are therefore more aware today.

Q: Israeli forces' brutality against protesters suggests they are afraid of the demonstrators. Why is Israel is so afraid of demonstrations?

A: In the world, protests are considered as a fundamental right of people. Furthermore, the governments, generally speaking, do not find themselves in danger by any voices of any communities, especially when they are minority. They do not feel offended or endangered. In case of Israel, as the demonstrators reveal the corruption behind the regime in Israel, showing that they are anti-Jewish and anti-Judaism. We clarify this regime is totally illegitimate and they are not only oppressing other people who are in many cases Palestinian people, they are oppressing the Jewish people themselves, whoever stands up against them. They see it a threat against themselves, and do everything to stop it.

Q: Do you believe if the regime’s ban on demonstrations will disappoint protesters?

A: The anti-Zionist movement is getting stronger each day. These bans can stop demonstrators to some extent, but at least we are convinced we have a community who are strong and committed to cause. We would never stop as long as these rebellions against God continue. As long as the regime continues to claim that it represents the world of Judaism and continues to misrepresent the religion and religious people, we will not remain silent. As long as they continue to uproot Judaism, we will not remain silent. As long as the regime forces us to join their forces, which is the total violation of Judaism, we will not remain silent. As long as the regime rebels to almighty God, we will not remain silent. We will be here despite all obstacles.
