Theft is the seizure of another person’s/group’s/country’s property or services without the permission or consent of that person/group/country, in order to deprive the rightful owners of what belongs to them.
This general definition of the criminal act of thievery also covers burglary when the thief breaks into other’s premises for the purpose of stealing, or commits the act of robbery through force, threats, and use of weapons by putting the victim in a state of fear.
Irrespective of the fact that cities and societies all over the world are plagued by such criminals who might also resort to murder, on the international scene this description perfectly fits the U.S. and its roguish president.
Donald Trump who has damned himself to perfidy through treason against his own country, economic terrorism against the Islamic Republic of Iran, war crimes in Afghanistan, and complicity with the Saudis and the Zionists in the massacre of the people of Yemen and the plight of the Palestinian people, is now indulging in armed daylight robbery in Syria.
Bouthaina Sha’ban, the Political and Media Adviser to President Bashar al-Assad, recently blasted Trump for stealing Syria’s oil through occupation of the oil fields by the uninvited American troops, whose very presence in Syria is illegal and in violation of the United Nations’ charter guaranteeing the sovereignty of member states.
She explicitly said the U.S. has no right to Syria’s oil and warned of operations by Syrian people and popular forces against the thieving American occupation troops "until our lands are totally and completely liberated from all foreign occupiers.”
In the same vein, former longtime Iranian Foreign Minister Dr. Ali Akbar Velayati who currently serves as International Affairs Advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, minced no words when in an interview with Russian TV, he called Donald Trump "An International Thief”.
Velayati pointing out that the U.S. is stealing Syrian oil and the U.S. President is committing this crimes against the will of the Syrian people, repeated: "He is thus an International Thief.”
Dr. Velayati reiterated the same position during talks in Tehran yesterday with the Syrian ambassador and a delegation of tribal chiefs from Syria visiting the Islamic Republic of Iran, when he emphasized: "The US president admits that the US uses the Syrian of oil reserves. This is an illegal act, an obvious theft and blatant violation of International Law.”
In view of these undeniable facts, there is no question that the U.S. and its president are thieves, burglars, and robbers, as well as terrorists. This is evident by their illegitimate presence in not just Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq, but also the entire Persian Gulf region and the adjoining waters where they have no right to station their forces or send their navy.
The region and its rich resources belong to the regional people, and hence the U.S. presence in this part of the world is illegal and a threat to the peace, security, and stability of all countries in the neighbourhood.
In other words, the people of the region, whether of Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and other places, have the full right to stand up against any foreign interference, oppression, conspiracy, and malicious plots of the enemies.
The Islamic Republic of Iran fully supports the struggles of the people of the region against the U.S. and its agents, whether the macabrely murderous terrorists, whether the rioters rampaging for a fistful of dollars against the lawful and legal governments, or the reactionary regimes fueling sedition in the interests of Washington and Tel Aviv.
The firm resolve of the Resistance Front vis-à-vis these intricate conspiracies means, sooner than later, the Iraqis and the Lebanese will triumph over organized sedition, the Palestinians will liberate their homeland from the tentacles of the tottering usurper Zionist regime, and the Syrian people and government will cleanse Idlib and the Euphrates basin of all terrorists and occupation forces.
