The US, which has illegally stationed hundreds of troops in Syria and in open violation of the UN charter refuses their withdrawal despite the repeated demands of the government in Damascus, again committed a heinous crime by bombing the bases of Syrian resistance forces and martyring nine of them in addition to injuring dozens of others.
The excuse proffered by the CENTCOM terrorists was the drone and missile attack the previous day by the Syrians on the illegal US army bases.
Chief CENTCOM terrorist Michael Erik Kurilla undiplomatically called the Syrian resistance as “Iranian-aligned” thereby risking to stir up a row with the Islamic Republic that could turn dangerous for Washington’s vested interests in our region, if not the world.
He tried to overlook the fact that the Syrian resistance, in accordance with the UN charter, has every right to defend their soil and this includes the legitimate targeting of the American occupation forces.
The latest American crime on Syrian soil was in coordination with Monday’s Israeli aerial attack on an aid convoy in the Shamsin area, about 20km from the border with Lebanon, forcing the closure of Syria’s main north-south highway that links the capital, Damascus, with the northern city of Aleppo.
A day before on Sunday the Zionist entity, which has subjected Gaza to 14 months of unabated genocide and is brutally bombing Lebanon for the past two months – in mockery of UN resolutions – struck a residential building in Damascus, in the vicinity of the holy shrine of the Prophet’s granddaughter, Hazrat Zainab (SA), martyring seven civilians, including women and children.
In view of these unaccountable crimes against humanity of the US and the Zionist entity, President Bashar al-Assad’s speech in Riyadh at the joint meeting of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) deserves serious thought.
He urged concrete measures to stop the ongoing holocaust including the frequent violation of the sovereignty of his country by the Zionists and the US, who reject all diplomatic solutions.
“We want peace, but they continue to kill,” he said, words interpreted as time for coordinated field action by the Muslim and Arab countries.
In other words, is the UN willing to do justice to member states by allowing Damascus, or any other country threatened by the Americans, to dispatch armed personnel to the US and attack military bases in that country in order to end the illegal US presence in Syria and the killing of the Syrian people by the CENTCOM terrorists?
This is a reality, and might happen some day in the near future, if the UN becomes a truly independent World Body, in order to make the Americans and the Zionists taste their own bitter medicine.
