Al-Manar Maps Show Battlefield Situation in Gaza

As the Israeli war on Gaza enters its ninth month, the Zionist army finds its soldiers incapable of securing its presence in several areas across the besieged strip. Meanwhile, it’s clear that the resistance is still very much alive and kicking.

More than eight months have passed, the resistance fighters are still launching rocket attacks at the occupied territories from areas the Israeli army claimed to be controlling earlier.

Moreover, the resistance fighters are carrying out deadly attacks that have claimed lives of many occupation soldiers in the latest days.

Al-Manar has prepared maps showing the battlefield situation in the Gaza Strip in June. The maps were illustrated by Al-Manar’s Mohammad Assaf, based on data provided by Live Universal Awareness Map, commonly known as Liveuamap, an internet service to monitor and indicate activities on online geographic maps, particularly of locations with ongoing armed conflicts.

So far, the developments show that the Israeli occupation army can’t fully control areas which it had previously deployed in, with these areas turning to be arena of clashes with the resistance factions in the Gaza Strip.

The main “achievement” the occupation army secured is the 1-kilometer deep path on the Gaza Strip’s border with the occupied territories in Gaza envelope.

Other than the aforementioned path, the Israeli occupation forces still try to advance near Jabalia in the strip’s north, where they meet fierce resistance.

Elsewhere in the Gaza City, in the strip’s center, the Israeli occupation forces deploy in the Netzarim Corridor, a four-mile road south of Gaza City that runs east to west, extending from the border with occupied territories to the Mediterranean Sea.

In Rafah, in southern Gaza Strip, the occupation army claimed it has operational control of Gaza-Egypt border corridor. However, the resistance forces have been dealing blows to the occupation army, with the latest attack in Rafah killing at least 4 soldiers on Monday (June 10).
